God bless you for the clarification Dhotseal: My brother, pls permit to disagree with your submission. It is erroneous and misleading.
Number of nuclear warheads does not determine military might. It is the ability to deliver your warheads effectively and efficiently that will determine who wins any nuclear confrontation. Russia and America combined have enough nuclear arsenal to destroy the whole world 10 times. What will eventually determine the winner of any confrontation is not the number of warheads but their effective delivery. Be assured that for the next 50 years USA will still be ahead of any other Country in terms of military supremacy for the following reasons.
1. Projection of power. The United States has more Aircraft carriers than any country in the world. With just 2 of them they can project overwhelming firepower to any part of the globe...including Russia. Google it. www.wonderslist.com/10-most-powerful-militaries
2. Air supremacy The US has more number of Aircrafts and more advanced aircrafts. US =15,293 Russia 4,498
3. Defence Budget
The US spends $ 689,591,000,000 on defence yearly. While Russia spends $64,000,000,000
4. Active Military Personnel
US: 1,477,896 Russia: 1,200,000
My brother I can go on all day. My point is that very simple research would have given you the right information.
Happy Sunday. |

Ur sense of reasoning is divine U re very smart with ur analysis Must we say yes sir... Yes sir.... To someone forever? Nah juicee1: You have a great point which can only move the less enlightened.
Let's put it this way: he earns 80k mopping floors while you earn 30k seated in an airconditioned office typing on a desktop computer.
Assuming the amount the both of you spend on transportation and feeding for every month is 20k each, he will have 60k left for savings while yours will be 10k.
60k x 12months= N720,000
10k x 12months= N120,000
What can you investments 120k in? I don't know for now. Probably something that produces little, not even up to the 30k you earn from being an auditor. I stand to be corrected.
As for his 720K, if he's not a spendthrift, he can invest in transport biz. Placing a danfo bus on the road in lagos can fetch him 80K per month asides the 60K he earns from mopping floors.
80K + 60K= N140,000
140K x 12months= N1,680,000
While he's saving N1,680,000 after 2yrs, you will only have N240K after 2yrs of your comfortable audit job.
In the 3rd year, if he's extra smart, he can add another bus to increase his margin of profit. He can continue the trend in the 4th and 5th year.
By the 5th year, he would have become an employer of labour with 4 danfo buses, each fetching an income of 80K per month asides his cleaner job of 80K per month. Don't forget about the amount he would have saved during those periods.
As for you, your sure believe of nabbing a job worth 300K might get dashed when reality hits you in the face. Even if you finally land the job, you are still going to remain a "yes sir" kind of person cos you've programmed yourself to work for others instead of employing people. Your mentality of comfort at work is one of the reasons why many youths are unemployed or not doing well in employment.

In your dream......... Wake up from ur sleep my friend......... When ur brother from SS was given the mantle of leadership see what he turned Nigeria to...... Stealing is not corruption...... Clueless people EUROBOMBER: I have carefully analysed recent events and taken time to study a lot of what happened before during and after the Biafran war.
The truth is that if the Igbos succeed in pulling out of Nigeria, the Niger Delta might not completely be part of the new country but they will definitely also seek to be on their own and manage their resources. This would effectively leave only the SW and the North in Nigeria. If it turns out this way, the Yorubas most likely would also gently ask to be left to be on their own. At the end of it all, we go our separate ways.
Let me quickly add here that Igbo land is much bigger than the Nigerian politically defined SE. Should Nigeria break today, all Igbo-speaking parts of the SS will be part of our new country. The Igbos will force no tribe to be part of us, we will accept those that want to stay with us and those that don't want to be with us will be free to stand on their own or join any other groups they so wish. I am saying this loud and clear so that some people will not come here and start shouting, "We are not part of your Biafra, leave us alone, leave our oil alone."
The Igbos can do very well without oil. There are many countries in the world without oil and are doing very fine. Germany is the most powerful economy in Europe today and they don't have a cup of crude oil there. Israel moved into a desert and converted it into a country very comfortable for habitation. The list is endless. Recent trends have also shown that oil is becoming worthless by the day. What really matters for a nation to be great is the quality of human resources available.
For the parts of the SS that would choose to be part of the new country, we can accept to run a regional system of government between the core Igbo states and parts of the Niger Delta. We can even accept a solution such that both regions would take 80% of revenue accrued within the regions and contribute 20% to the center. This the Niger Delta can never get in this present Nigeria.
For those people from the SS always shouting leave our oyel, I want to tell you that the Northerners are already drinking your oil and have even become drunk on it. You are shouting at Igbos to leave your oyel whereas Northerners are taking the same oil from under your nose and you can do nothing. How myopic and sentimental can some people be?
On a closing note, I believe in one Nigeria but one where there is justice, fairness & equity. For me, Buhari should hand over to an Igbo man if Igbos are truly part of Nigeria. We are part of the big three and too big to be ignored. |

tete7000: How many appointments will the President make at once? I believe this dissolution should have been done gradually. Ministers are yet to be announced, ambassadors recalled, NNPC board remain dissolved and now all parastatals, agencies and institutions boards have all been dissolved. The President needs to do these things softly softly in my opinion. u may be right..... But then what impact has these dissolved parastatals head had on Nigeria....... If u voted for pmb trust me you will never regret it....... We are heading to see a new Nigeria |
