Lol. Election result announced in court? INEC declares election results and if they announce the incumbent as winner, there's no court in the land that will state otherwise. Likewise, let's even take the "prophecy" at face value that Obi scores 70% of valid votes cast and INEC declares him winner, again, there's no court in the land that will invalidate his votes should the "loser" in this case PBAT & APC, go to court. Meanwhile, the Prophet no even rate Atiku at all. |
TheStoriesOfMan:You are spot on! PKS (Palm kernel shells) are also used in the manufacture of brake pads. Let's not forget that the shells also have ornamental value. |
Palm oil is king over Cocoa any day! The application or uses of cocoa are limited compared to Palm oil; soaps, creams, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, butter, industries and even chocolate (that's made from cocoa as the primary raw material) etc. use Palm oil as raw materials for production. Also, when you consider Nigeria's strength in the cultivation of both cash crops, while Nigeria is a net exporter of cocoa because local demand is met, Nigeria is a net importer of Palm oil (we import approx. $600m worth of Palm oil annually) as we don't even produce enough to meet local demands. If you also want to look at the value chain of Palm oil (nothing is a waste) compared to cocoa, you'd see that the former is far ahead. From Palm oil you can derive CPO, PKO, PKC, Palm fronds, biofuels (Palm oil is already being tested for use as aviation fuel), biomass, HDF, MDF, etc. Besides, there's hardly any home you'd go into in Nigeria where Palm oil isn't consumed daily. If you also look at the size of Palm oil cultivated in Nigeria and our annual production, it's over 1.4million MT (demand is over 3million MT); how many hectares of cocoa do we cultivate again and what's the annual production quantity? So, with these few points of mine, I hope I've been able to.... Never mind... |
Lol. ADC and their supporters insisting on real time transmission of results as the only option of collating results because they've perfected plans to reuse their failed Dubai strategy of 2023 in 2027 where they'll hack the results and create confusion in the land. ADC is either ready for the 2027 general elections or not! All this hot tears and finding one fault after the other (first, it was mandatory transmission of election results electronically when that failed, they moved on to the election dates and when that was resolved by a shifting of dates in accordance with the amended electoral act 2026, they have moved on to complaining about the timetable of political activities) won't save them from imminent defeat at the polls. Say what you like or want, the ruling party won't fall for the gimmicks of these coalition of disgruntled and overnight saints' politicians. |
Lol. Show me an unserious, ill-prepared, ignorant and lazy opposition and I'll show you the ADC - always jumping from one complaint to the other. Instead of focusing on real issues - knowing the type of political party and president in power today - they were busy chasing after a phantom AMAC LG elections in the FCT. Now, that the dust has settled and eyes are beginning to clear, they now realize that they've fallen into the ruling party's trap and to make matters worse, they don't have the numbers in the National Assembly to force a change to the amended electoral act that was recently signed into law by the president. I wish them all the best oo. |
There are more than two but I'll stick to script. 1. Peter Mbah of Enugu 2. Agbu Kefas of Taraba WDYM "mention two governors...?" 3. Alex Otti of Abia 4. Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi 5. Sherrif Ov (can't spell the rest) of Delta 6. Caleb Muftwang of Plateau 7. Usman Ododo of Kogi 8. The Ekiti governor 9. Ben Otu of Cross River 10. Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom 12. Dauda Lawal of Zamfara |
If not for this Tali Shani matter that came to limelight, Chief Mike Ozekhome (SAN) would've been among those parroting a "new Nigeria is possible" & strutting around the political space like a saint meanwhile, he has a very rotten, smelly and big skeleton in his wardrobe. It'd take a miracle for him to wriggle himself out of this quagmire. |
Only those who Nobel Laureate & literary giant, Prof. Wole Soyinka, labeled as "the headless mob" could've believed & ran with the false narrative that a particular political party scored 1212 votes when the total votes (in words) don't even near that number. Glad that INEC issued a statement to clear the air because another false narrative was being pushed that some persons deliberately mutilated the entry in the said form EC8 after it had been uploaded to iREV to justify their unfounded allegations that the council polls were massively rigged to favour APC. |
I love what Gov. Peter Mbah is doing with Enugu State. At the pace he's currently going, in 8yrs time (after he must've served for two terms) Enugu may just become the most developed state in Nigeria. Enugu people got it right! |
eyesoflagos:Lol. When you ride on the back of a Tiger, just keep riding don't stop or get down otherwise, you become food for the Tiger. That's what Iyabo Ojo's case has become & she deserves all the flaks she's getting. It was always obvious that the supporters of one candidate in the 2023 presidential election never really loved Nigeria; they were only united in their hatred of PBAT & progress of Nigeria otherwise, how can progress no matter how little, infuriate these group of supporters so much? They gloat and clap hands in celebration when bad things happen but when even the smallest good happens, they pretend not to see or hear talk more of speak up about it. Even more disturbing is their penchant for tearing down anyone who chooses to see the "little" progress being made; if they don't label such persons as sellouts, they play the tribal card. Even secret cults don't behave the way these group of supporters behave. |
Femi952000:As far as legal jurisprudence in Nigeria is concerned, he who alleges must prove! It's okay to make wild allegations and even publicize the official channel of correspondence to clarify those allegations. However, it's unwise to make those types of allegations when you don't have substantial evidence and the government of the day isn't that of fPGEJ; under the then GEJ admin, these sorts of allegations would've been treated with kids' gloves, rebuttal or even official silence but not under this one. Malam NER first confirmed on national TV that they hacked the NSA's phone (very weighty allegations that border on treason & risk being labeled a spy for terrorists) for which the DSS has now stepped in. On his allegation of thallium sulphate imports by the ONSA, same have also been forwarded to the DSS and if he likes himself, he'd better provide the evidences otherwise,..... |
Lol. IOPBATWTPGEJWTTHAW. PBATWW2027GEAWTADCFAPCATHWF. |
Lol. NURTW members and their outfits are sparkling clean; the uniforms look like they were just sewn. Anyways, their cup of tea. |
Classic Chief Dele Momodu. Call these people out by name abi which one is all this grammar? They're "Obidients"! Call 'em out, sir and stop beating about the bush. |
Somethings can't really be explained, which is why in Africa, many believe in the supernatural otherwise, how can one explain this Victor Boniface situation? 2-3 seasons ago, the same player was hot 🔥 cake in the Bundesliga and his name was synonymous with goals or assists. Today, he has become a footballer that clubs are rejecting here and there and of course, debilitating injuries haven't helped his career too. I wish VB well and pray he bounces back strong. |
"... period of two years..."? Methinks that should be for as long as Mr. Afolayan lives. If the EKSUTH medical officials hadn't been negligent, the patient wouldn't have required a kidney transplant or post-operative care. In addition, he should be placed on a lifetime salary/compensation of 500k monthly for as long as he lives! I can't imagine the trauma the man must be going through as a result of this. I suggest he gets a very good lawyer to iron out details of a comprehensive & iron-clad compensation plan; that's the barest minimum he deserves for his ordeals. |
It's times like this I admire my Ebira people. Those ones are innately battle-ready at all times never to be caught off guard! For my Igala folks, they still have potent juju that will give these bandits the fright of a lifetime, so, they won't even dare. However, these bandits are having a bloody field trip with my Okun people because we jettisoned the way of our forefathers and embraced Christianity & Islam with total conviction. The government must be proactive as these killings have since gotten out of hand. Prominent politicians of Okun origin like SDM, James Faleke, and retired military generals/security operatives, wealthy business men as well as sons and daughters of Okun land now have a responsibility to face this existential threat to their people head-on. In conjunction with the DSS & ONSA, arms and ammunitions must be provided to communities (as the first line of defence) to fight back when these bloodthirsty bandits strike so that Okun people are no longer slaughtered like helpless fowls or marched into the forests like herds of cattle. Enough must be enough!!! |
I would take this grave accusation against Harrison Gwamnishu with a pinch of salt. I hope the kidnapped victims are freed ASAP & unhurt so that Harrison may eventually spill the beans, clearing his name & reputation in the process. |
Lol @ blending components. The same thing they accused the NNPC refineries of doing then (the explanation that "blending" is a global practice by the then NNPC was rejected by DPR & its supporters. Remember also the "Malta Blended Petrol" saga?) is what they're now doing as the refinery currently undergoes maintenance. |
Like father, like son!! Road construction across the country can go on side-by-side funding for insecurity. Why should other critical sectors stop functioning or receiving funding just because of insecurity? Instead of directing specific questions at the northern political and religious elite on why insecurity is pervasive in the region and spreading from there to other parts of the country, he's busy talking about stopping the Lagos-Calabar highway. |
Up until now, I considered First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu, a woman who knows how to read the room & acts accordingly. However, this her invitation letter - at a time kids are being kidnapped from their schools & held by bandits - to a dinner smacks of insensitivity & tone deafness. Nonetheless her own lapse in judgment & knowing how gluttonous, non-challant & irresponsible our politicians could be, they'll (majority of them) attend this event shamelessly. |
Politics is such an intriguing game. See OBJ - the man who orchestrated Ayodele Fayose's removal as Ekiti governor - all smiles at this occasion. Only slaves make enemies for themselves over political differences or choices. |
HeatSeeker:How did you "flash" the phone? Is it something you did by yourself or it involves technical expertise? I'm going through similar experience and would like to know how you were able to overcome it i.e if you did eventually. |
femi4:It won't help, I mean contacting WhatsApp. In my own case, the account was restored in less than 24hrs, after it was active again for two days, they took it down again and since then, I've not been able to use WhatsApp on the device. |
chiwex:Had similar experience. My WhatsApp (my own number) was being used by another; my profile photo was changed to that of an Asian-looking chic. Almost got me in trouble with my wife. From the varied responses, it looks like I may never be able to use WhatsApp on my phone again. |
maiunguwar:Oh! Really? I'm just reading this for the first time. |
owobokiri:Yes, I'm actually saying that. When it gets to your own turn, give the Goose that lays the golden eggs crumbs. Having said that, whatever you or I say about how the $1bn is going to be shared among the ports is just mere speculations as that hasn't even been made public yet. Let's not forget how the discussion got here: the lie by one man that all the $1bn was going to Lagos ports alone; not that it was going to be shared (un)equally among Warri, Port Harcourt, Apapa and Tin Can. owobokiri:Yes, that's the idea. In terms of size, of the 4 aforementioned ports, Apapa is the largest followed by Tin Can, I believe, so it's only natural that they'll get the lion share. Warri and Port Harcourt will also get what's due them, no doubt. $1bn isn't N1bn. owobokiri:There's no "desperation" anywhere. It's makes business sense that in taking decisions where to invest especially when there are options, that you sink more funds to the business with the highest probability of guaranteeing ROI and currently, of the 4 ports, Apapa and Tin Can fit that bill. owobokiri:I dare you to name just 5 projects in Lagos post civil war era aside from the 3MB, MMIA, Tin Can Port & Lagos-Ibadan expressway (which failed eventually after decades of heavy use and had to be fully reconstructed by the APC-led FG of President Buhari) that took "funds for reconstruction"? Mind you, the "New" Warri Port was built after the civil war. Onne Port too. National Fertilizer Company of Nigeria (NAFCON) now operated by Notore, Aluminum Smelter Company of Nigeria (ALSCON), Warri Refinery, "New" Port Harcourt Refinery (the largest government owned Refinery), Delta Steel, Company, etc were all built post-civil war era in Eastern Nigeria. So, again, I ask, which funds meant for reconstruction of Eastern Nigeria was "directed to Lagos area?" owobokiri:Tribalism by whom? From 1970-1999 which is 29years, Gen. Olusegun Obasanjo & Chief Ernest Shonekan are the only two Yoruba men to have governed Nigeria and they ruled for a combined tenure not more than 4 years (Obasanjo only ruled for 3 years & 8 months as military Head of State while Shonekan superintended over the interim national government for just 3 months). So, who did the Tribalism to favor Lagos? Except your grouse is with Tinubu, who seems to be showing a bias towards the "Lagos area" now more than ever before in our nation's history, I don't see the "tribalism" you're claiming. Selah. |
Okay. owobokiri: |
To those Graduate Trainees still waiting for PENGASSAN abi NUPENG to finish "discussions" therefore they shouldn't take up the new postings/redeployments, to them, I scream "wake up & smell the coffee"! Nothing is coming out of the purported discussions as this is a matter that has been concluded at the highest levels (ONSA, FG, Dangote & the affected labour union leaders). |
owobokiri:The man I quoted falsely claimed only Lagos ports was to gulp the entire $1bn sum and that is what I responded to: he told a lie! As to what each port gets, if you expect the aforementioned ports to share the sum equally then you're no different from the man who lied that only two ports will share the amount. However, for sake of discuss, do you expect that Apapa & Tin Can that generate the bulk (at least 80%) of revenue from Nigerian Ports to share the allotted sum equally with the others? And please, don't come with the argument often made by ignorant folks that the other ports were deliberately made redundant to the advantage of Lagos ports and let's even agree without conceding that were the case, how's that Lagos' fault? |
I often get perplexed by this man's penchant for playing to the gallery and when his errors are pointed out, he just moves on like he didn't just commit a blunder. The $1bn committed for Ports infrastructure upgrades/modernization doesn't just cover Apapa & Tin Can ports only, it includes others such as Calabar, Warri & Port Harcourt. https://www.thisdaylive.com/2025/10/09/npa-sets-48-month-deadline-for-1bn-apapa-calabar-port-harcourt-ports-reconstruction/ A simple search would've prevented this blunder but "basket mouth" just has to leak. |
ChiefOloye:That's the most unfortunate consequence of this incident. A cycle of viciousness has just been initiated and till it goes full cycle over and over and over and over and over and over.... it'll not end! Members of the community where this accidental killing took place should just find somewhere else to relocate to and pray not to be discovered because they won't escape what's coming... |
