This level of delusion is grandiose. Ask the same people if the man they're propping up as having the solutions to all our problems if he completely solved the insecurity problem in Anambra for the eight ( years he was governor & they'll start giving you a different story. One week? LMAO. |
Lol. If one of PBAT's erstwhile supporter was the one speaking about him like this - in a very bad light - most folks trying to spin this Kenneth Okonkwo's reputation damaging interview of Peter Obi would've hailed it as a master class. The same category of people will call a particular region ethnic bigots for voting one of their own to be President yet hail the other candidate's region as patriotic for voting for one of theirs. Barr. Okonkwo's interview was revealing and says a lot about Obi's personality & character - a man who's indecisive, panders to popular opinion, plays both sides & doesn't keep to his words. For someone who was & probably still close to Obi, those were weighty allegations he made against the ex-Presidential flag bearer of the LP. |
I concur with the second reason the writer gave while strongly disagreeing with their first reason. As it stands, HEPO best chances are either to be running mate to HE Atiku Abubakar in 2027 or run as the flag bearer of the entire coalition movement. Anything outside of these options is handing PBAT a second term on a silver platter. Whether Atiku will keep to his promise of running for a single term of 4years only is premature at this early stages as the major focus of the coalition should be on sacking the APC from Aso Villa first, then power sharing comes second because like the writer observed, Atiku may swear on his grand-children's lives that he'll do a single term & hand over to Obi only to get in and do something else. Why that option is even more complicated (Atiku single term & hand over to Obi) is that assuming Atiku actually keeps to his word, will Obi also do a single term & power returns to the North or he'll do two terms of 8 years before power returns to the North? Embedded in this option is Atiku to run in 2027 with Obi as running mate & they both do two-terms together as President & VP respectively i.e assuming they win & are declared winners. Afterwards, power can then revert to the South (whether Obi will get the ticket by then, is another political calculation of its own). So, any rational & politically inclined reader will see why HEPO's best shot to Aso Villa in 2027 is to be adopted as the coalition's sole candidate otherwise, if they repeat the mistakes of 2023, they'll reap the same outcome. |
LMAO. Only one man - diminutive - for that matter, held an entire airline staff & pax. captive yet, they could do nothing. Most Nigerians are just noise; empty chest beating & social media rants, no balls on 'em. |
War is terrible! The costs are unquantifiable & the worse part of it is that the recovery process is never-ending. If only both countries had allowed peace & matured-reasoning to prevail. |
Unfortunately, the political plight of the Igbo people will continue to be a tool for desperate & mischievous politicians such as Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi. Even most unfortunate is the fact that the people themselves know this, yet, continue to allow politicians who only seek to use them for cheap political gains to ride on their cultural identity. |

Well... You can't argue with data. |
Southern Kaduna are eating good under Gov. Uba Sani & PBAT; last time they probably ate this good since 1999 was under Gov. Makarfi (who was nicknamed John because of his perceived soft spot for the people of SK). Just yesterday, PBAT named the widow of late Gov. Patrick Yakowa (the first SK & Christian Governor of Kaduna State) as a member of the board of NAU, Awka. After over a decade since her husband's demise & of being forgotten, PBAT apparently on the recommendation of Gov. Sani, recommended her for federal appointment (Fun fact: Mal. Uba Sani as he was then known, was SA Political to then Gov. Yakowa. Glad to see he has forgotten the Yakowa family). Meanwhile, in an unrelated development, couldn't help but observe keenly the first photo frame: notice how nucleated their settlements are? So, close-knit that you'd think they're all members of one household. Methinks it's due to the insecurity problems pervading the area that informed this type of settlement pattern. The people want to be able to defend themselves i their numbers against invaders; the downside to it is that if the invaders are more armed & determined than their victims (and most times they are), they usually leave in their trail mass casualties as we've seen in SK over the years. God bless Kaduna State. |
Well said. |
Lookmun:Not everything has to be viewed from a political or tribal prism, Chief. I was wrong to have attributed the development to a slow business day or time without addressing the issue of the empty shelves. I later read another submission on this thread that gave me another perspective to why this may be the case among other factors and I did say so here 👇 aylipple:Point is, we may agree to disagree without attaching our cause of disagreement or agreement to tribal or political reasons. |
Okay, this is actually another angle to the whole scenario; the fact that Shoprite have since exited Nigeria and are probably just scaling down their operations makes sense. For e.g the Shoprite at Novare Mall, Central (Wuse Zone 5) has shut down since last year. The one at Apo is a shadow of itself and may also soon shutdown too. While the diminished purchasing power of Nigerians is a strong factor in the decline of shopping culture among Nigerians, there are also other factors at play. christejames: |
Foot falls at shopping malls in some parts of the country are now being used as a benchmark to measure the success or otherwise of the Tinubu admin. While those who use this indices to measure the admin may not be entirely wrong, it’s also not an accurate reflection of the economic situation in the country; before my position is mistaken as denying the existence of economic hardship realities across the country, what I’m saying is there are other ways to measure than using foot fall in malls For instance, the video could’ve been made on a slow business day or time also, the fact remains that if any such business owners in the mall aren’t making sales in volumes that cover their running costs and then some little profit, they would’ve closed shop without delay to cut further incurring losses. Finally, they try to paint the economy as very terrible & unfavorable to businesses yet, their hero who came 3rd in the last presidential elections, has rebuilt his mall (Next Cash & Carry) that was burnt down in a fire accident some few years back; he will restock the business, employ new hands, etc knowing how business owners operate and project, if the economy isn’t viable and doesn’t support businesses to grow and make profit, would he have bothered to reinvest tens of billions to rebuilding? Who rebuilds in a dying or stiffling economy? |
No boundaries whatsoever with Nigerian politicians; they believe they can grab/hold anyone especially females or place their hands in inappropriate places without repercussion. Engr. Umahi is lucky if not for his position, Ambassador Bianca for tear am better slap; a no-no sense woman! |
Lol. Scales ⚖️ are beginning to fall 🍂 off. The unraveling of Peter Obi will be epic; just going to be watching from afar off when it happens because it'll surely happen. |
Well, while the headline is misleading, there's no gainsaying that the LP flag bearer in the 2023 presidential elections is a "packaged" failure of a politician. As a private trader of reputable standing and recognition, he was & remains successful but as a two-term governor, his records of achievements are as little as they come. |
If by now you still don't get the "hidden" message PDT was passing - just days before the conclave to elect a new Pope - by posting an AI generated image of himself as Pope... Nvm. |
Lol. They can't even keep his "relocation" to the NE under wraps. Eye service everywhere. Shior! |
Lifestone:753 duplexes actually. Again, while I admit that the EFCC under Mr. Olukoyede has notched a handful of victories in the war against corruption, their activities have been largely focused on the "small fries" and their scorecard, underwhelming. Nonetheless, his job isn't an easy one that's for sure. |
Lifestone:I reason am & came to the conclusion that his high conviction rate is mostly of "yahoo yahoo" boys & the likes. He's not yet up to two years in office but how many high profile cases has the EFCC under him successfully investigated, built-up a solid case (that can lead to conviction) & then prosecute in court? We all saw how the EFCC under his leadership made a public spectacle of the Yahaya Bello case & how it also handled the Betta Edu/Halima Shehu/Sadiya Farouk cases, Bobrisky/Cubana Chief Priest/E-money/Okoya son's matter etc. & now, the EFCC appears to be playing the unfortunate role of turning hitherto ordinary citizens, into heroes/prisoners of conscience. EFCC Under Ola Olukoyede has left the "big fishes" to keep swimming in their ocean of corruption while it goes after fingerlings on the corruption ladder. |
EFCC under Olukayode or whatever his name is, has become one huge joke. The most useless, jobless & unserious era of the EFCC is what we're witnessing under its current leadership. What a shame! |
Dem go soon still sack this one! |
Malo girls > |
Mr. Bayo Onanuga is a huge joke, I wonder who still takes him seriously except of course, his fellow clowns in the circus show. This man, by this statement or rebuttal, has single-handedly confirmed that the Presidential Comms Team eat, sleep, dream & think Peter Obi every second. I mean, how do you manage to issue an official statement in the name of the Presidency then still go ahead to chip in a leading opposition figure's name in something that has clearly nothing to do with him. That was petty & unnecessary in my opinion. The point could still be made without mentioning names thereby focusing the debate on the real issues but with this here, the focus has shifted from issues to personalities & that's a low from Mr. Onanuga, who keeps speaking like a political party spox than a presidential spox; there's a huge difference between the two! |
Unfortunately, the lady is back on X under the same guy’s tweets less than 24hrs after her akant was freakied with N6m, still begging for giveaways. Guess some people are just insatiable like that! |
Anyone calling for or supporting a revolution in Nigeria must be ready to lead the revolt from the forefront alongside members of their immediate families. If they also have properties, they should be ready to first set their properties ablaze then take their immediate families to the frontlines of the revolution then the rest of Nigeria should queue behind them. Anything short of this is an attempt to destroy lives & livelihoods of perceived foes, hardworking & legitimate Nigerians etc. |
Lol. He was blindfolded so he won’t know where they’re taking him but you somehow know that it’s EFCC headquarters they took him to? Issokay. |
Well, Rt. Hon. Rotimi Amaechi owns his experiences & knows what he passed through under the Jonathan administration but he obviously was economical with the truth in some instances. For e.g. the reason for the "technical" closure of the Akure Airport wasn't because a "non-civil authority" ordered it shut down, it's simply because it's a sunset airport & had nothing to do with his squabbles with the administration at the time. Secondly, if the Jonathan administration truly wanted him killed, what better way to do it than orchestrate a fatal accident or ambush his vehicle along the stretch from Kano-Zaria-Kaduna-Abuja? Even a newborn kid knows that a State Director of DSS can be overruled by his bosses if he provides security for a HVT that's wanted by the administration i.e assuming his claims are valid that he was marked for elimination. Thirdly, speaking about his support for fuel subsidy removal but against how the current administration went about it and then going on to explain how he would've done things differently: please, isn't he aware of the number of FG houses being built? The NELFUND? CreditCorp (where Nigerians can access low interest loans to purchase brand new made-in-Nigeria vehicles)? Several road projects that are ongoing & employing thousands of Nigerians? Etc. I'm not saying the economic situation of Nigerians are better but in relation to the alternatives he provided as solutions, the current administration is doing the things he mentioned and then some more. Rt. Hon. Amaechi has paid his dues as a prominent Nigerian politician but sometimes he just speaks half-truths. |
Lol. I love how the North is threatening fire and brimstones over 2027; you would think after a northerner spent 8 uninterrupted years as President of Nigeria (they took virtually all the positions available and controlled all the major security apparatus) and only just left office about two years ago, you would think that their economic and security situation would've been the envy of the rest of Nigeria that watched while Northerners held sway. While I've no sympathy for Tinubu and how he has also divided Nigeria along ethnic lines with his obviously skewed political appointments, I find it troubling that Dr. Hakeem Baba-Ahmed may be insinuating that the North has a penchant for instigating insecurity just to get a President (especially those from the South) they don't like out of office. They tried it with Obasanjo (Shari'ah, religious crises etc) but he was able to out-maneuvre them; they tried it with GEJ & succeeded largely due to his political naivety and desire to uphold the rule of law over personal ambitions. They're trying it now with Tinubu (another Southerner) & the verdict is yet to be out on if they'll succeed this time or fail. Finally, the threat by Dr. Baba-Ahmed that "Nigeria will end" if the 2027 elections is rigged (against the North) is just the ramblings of another disgruntled politician: the worse that will happen is they'll instigate their blind & brainwashed followers to protest, destroy lives and property in mostly Kano (this may not even be really effective if plans to woo Kwankwaso to APC succeed), Bauchi (again, their plans may not succeed in Christian-dominated parts of the state due to the Yakubu Dogara-factor) & Kaduna (mostly parts of northern & central Kaduna) while other northern states like Katsina, Jigawa, Zamfara, Kebbi, Yobe, Taraba, Gombe, Adamawa, Sokoto, Borno, Plateau, Niger, Nasarawa, Kwara, Kogi & Benue may just remain indifferent to how those other 3 states up there may react to the outcome of the polls. Well, as for the South-south and South-west, it'll be business as usual while the South-east may or may not participate in any unrest that will further jeopardize the volatile security situation in the region. The question will now be, which Nigeria will end? Perhaps Dr. Baba-Ahmed needs to be reminded that Nigeria doesn't start and end in the North and what the North wants! |
On so many points in this video, I stand solidly with VDM; man made so many valid points, you could hardly fault them. However, it was disconcerting to see that while VDM is very good at issuing ultimatums to others & having hot takes on some issues he obviously doesn't have adequate information on, he is also very intolerant of dissenting views, doesn't like to be issued ultimatums & loves to "oppress" those he believes he can oppress ("I for slap you", "I for march you", "drag your face for ground", "you fit stand for my front" etc) & get away with it. If Kizz Daniel's bodyguard had made a video giving VDM an ultimatum, he wouldn't in his wildest dreams dare to threaten to go physical with him; he'd have just ranted & made his points because he knows physique-for-physique, strength-for-strength, violence-for-violence, he's not a match for Kelvin Atobiloye aka Kelvin Power. |
Lol. Who else saw AY Makun mouth the acronyms "EFCC" to whoever was spraying the Naira notes. Indeed, wisdom is profitable to direct. Happy birthday in arrears Chief Obi Cubana. |
Lol. Nothing is imPOssible with the 2nd runner up including capitalizing on people's woes and misfortune to score cheap political points |
years he was governor & they'll start giving you a different story.
