Lol. ADC is a SPV that'll take all these people nowhere. After 2027 by God's grace, most of them will find their way back to the PDP because by then, Atiku would've been done politically; he won't have anywhere else to jump to. Meanwhile, it's very easy to blame Wike for what's happening to PDP but for every effect, there must be a cause and that cause was Atiku Abubakar! In 2003, 2006, & 2014 his unbridled ambitions rocked PDP to the foundations and each time he left, he returned only when he thought the coast was clear for him to clinch the party's ticket. |
Shebi Senate has appealed the Court's decision just as Senator Natasha also appealed some parts of the Court's decision that didn't sit well with her. They (Senate and Senator Natasha) should both await the outcomes of their appeals. C'est fini. |
Lol. Thing is, if you removed Obi's name everywhere it appeared in this report & inserted Atiku's name, the message would still be valid. Whatever is sauce for Atiku should also be sauce for Obi. |
You see that part where the author mentioned that one of the vehicles in the Presidential motorcade broke down necessitating its replacement? That's most likely the work of hawks in the Presidential Villa. That N400m that was budgeted for new vehicles, it just had to be spent whether the then President liked it or not; how will a vehicle used by the President not be properly maintained that it'll "breakdown" on the way to the airport necessitating replacement? The main presidential automobile is rarely driven outside Abuja and undergoes some of, if not the highest level of maintenance and care so, how will it just break down on the way to the airport if not deliberate ploy to spend funds already allocated for that purpose. |
KingCold:I don't know what there is to "love" about this topic; speaking for myself, this is the first time I've come across this topic on NL or ever commented on the subject matter on a public forum such as this. |
KingCold:I believe there is. My rough estimate is 1 in every 1,000 male is addicted to either porn or masturbation or both (they usually go hand-in-hand). It's not so evident, ofcourse, because those who engage it, do it in secret. |
Anyone straggling with pornography and masturbation and truly desires to break free from it should make the word of God (Bible) their constant companion. Yes, you may fall back in to those lustful temptations at the latter stages but believe me, if you won't remain there (wallowing in self-pity & self-condemnation) & abide in/and with the word, you'll find yourself gradually losing those desires/becoming less interested in them and before you know it, you've gone days, weeks, months & then years that you haven't watched porn or self-pleasure yourself. Also, ensure that after you're free from those unhealthy addictions, you deliberately avoid materials (videos, photos, music etc) that stimulate lust. Do well to also find a Pastor that knows the word of God (in my case, I sat under & listened to ministrations by Apostle David Azeez) and sit under their ministration week in, week out (in Church or by listening to their messages). Jesus did it for me (decades of pornography & self-pleasuring gone) and I've been free ever since. Thank you, Jesus! |
Dr. Bukola Saraki looks like someone who will make a fine Nigerian President. He doesn't have to carry his own bags, serve food in public outings or be everywhere just to be perceived as relevant or visible in the scheme of things; man just does his things without even trying to appeal to public sentiments. However, his performance as governor of Kwara State is what I'm not so sure will make him a great Nigerian President. Anyone - especially those who have occupied public office before such as the office of an Executive Governor in Nigeria - who aspires to lead Nigeria must show workings of their performance while they were in office not cho-cho-cho or asking people to go and verify. If you didn't transform your state in 8yrs into a model state or set the process in motion that puts your state on the trajectory to economic growth and development, you've no business aspiring for the highest office in the land! |
ehizario2012:Agreed. If he's speaking up now about the powers or lack thereof of the President to remove a Councillor from office let alone a Governor, he also ought to have spoken up against the removal of Gov. Fubara & members of the Rivers State House of Assembly for 6 months by PBAT. The problem with most politicians in Nigeria is that they lack integrity and speak from both sides of the mouth. |
Nigerian leaders will spend years in office with our unimaginable Commonwealth at their disposal yet, they won't build a single hospital fully staffed with professionals/qualified medical personnel nor equip same with modern technologies, machines and medical equipment that can compete with the best anywhere in the world. Then, after they leave office and start experiencing all manner of illnesses for one reason or the other, they sneak outside the country to seek the best medical help money can afford. Anyways, I wish them well and fast recovery. The man currently occupying the seat they also once occupied also appears to be toeing the same path - no single world class medical centre built & maintained by the FG to offer affordable healthcare to the citizens which they also can attend to receive care should the need arise sometime in the future after they've left office. |
VP Shettima's problem is he talks too much sometimes and then ends up sounding like a confused man. There you're saying a President can't remove a councillor how much more a governor - in reference to then PGEJ - but you're number two citizen in an administration that sacked a duly elected governor, state assembly members and LG chairpersons: pray tell, how do you reconcile these two similar scenarios, Sir? You're either saying your boss PBAT acted beyond his powers & you're an accessory to such an act of illegality or you're saying that matters of constitutional right & wrong only depends on which side of the fence you're at any particular time. |
Instead of light surveillance aircraft (I suspect the Beechcraft King Aircraft), the amount budgeted would've purchased Hi-Tech, modern & durable drones that can stay much longer in the air and unmanned. Anyways, Gov. Makinde knows better the security needs of his state. |
Omo, see doings by a LG chair person!! I'm actually impressed. This is what some state governments build and commission with so much fanfare. |
Little wonder PDTJ excluded certain African countries' Presidents. See these ones in the photos, they'll even accept U.S opening a detention centre such as Guantanamo Bay in their own countries without batting an eyelid. |
Lol. Why should Atiku be the one to "rally" the northern votes for Obi? Thought the general belief within the Obidient camp is he can win (shebi they also claimed that he won the 2023 polls?) the elections with or without a coalition? He either contests in a primary like every other presidential aspirant in the coalition or accept to be running. Worse case scenario, he runs as presidential candidate on another political party's platform. |
Lol... ASUU is enforcing the "No pay, no work" rule & heavens didn't fall but when the role is reversed and FG decides to enforce "No work, no pay" if the need arises, that's why you'll see them crying like bush babies. Notwithstanding, what's the reason for delaying their salaries? Was there any communication with the leadership of ASUU by the FG giving reasons why their members' salaries are delayed & apologize for the inconveniences? In every conflict, communication is key! |
Lol. Only Atiku you mean, Sir? Truth is the coalition was always about power returning to the North with Atiku as the frontliner; but the question still remains - will he do a single term (if they succeed in sacking Tinubu from Aso Villa) & hand over to his vice (which presumably will be Peter Obi) or will he do two terms? |
Waspapping truly overrates himself. Like, you think say you get the wherewithal to actively sway voters against Atiku because of his association with Obi? Joker promax! |
Like I postulated in a previous thread, many of these "former APC" bigwigs are only planning on using the ADC as a SPV to the Government House of their respective states such as Osunbor (most likely going to pick the party's governorship ticket for Edo in the next gubernatorial polls) & ex-Air Chief Sadique Abubakar (Bauchi). Where there will be disagreements especially for Bauchi is if Rtd. Air Marshal Abubakar doesn't clinch the ADC's ticket. |
An Atiku-Obi 2027 joint ticket is POssible. That's what the former LP Presidential candidate is indirectly saying. |
Like Festus Keyamo said, the ADC is Alh. Atiku Abubakar's SPV for 2027. Likewise, many of the other former APC "bigwigs" such as Bindow, Malami, El-Rufai, Aregbesola etc are joining the coalition party as "founders" in order to get a head-start to the governorship tickets in their respective states. For e.g in Adamawa, it's no secret Jibrilla Bindow is interested in giving the governorship another shot after he lost in 2019 to the incumbent PDP governor. He isn't going to get the APC ticket in 2027 (Aisha Binani was the APC candidate in 2023) neither will he get it in the PDP so by joining the ADC now, the party's governorship ticket is all his to lose. In Kebbi, it's also a no-brainer that ex-AGF Abubakar Malami (SAN) is eyeing the governorship of his home state which has an APC governor due for re-election in 2027. ADC presents the best opportunity for him to fulfil his long-held governorship ambition. In Kaduna & Osun States respectively, political godfathers such as El-Rufai & Aregbesola who lost out in the power plays in their respective states, will be looking to install governors they can control as the incumbents in their respective states are also eyeing re-election. Overall, Atiku will pick up the ADC presidential ticket (I suspect Rotimi Amaechi will be the presidential election DG - after all, he played that role successfully twice for Buhari in 2015 and 2019) & offer the running mate slot to Peter Obi who will accept. However, will their joint-ticket be strong enough to sack PBAT from Aso Rock in 2027? Only time will tell. |
PDP is suffering from a curse or possibly curses. A political party whose main entry gate is weekends-Sundays populated by an agbo & sachet alcohol seller with Nigerian youths - as her major customers - getting "high" on alcoholic beverages & engaging in heated arguments is definitely under a curse. Shame on Atiku, Amaechi, Saraki, Tambuwal, Kwankwaso et al for setting in motion the processes that led the once "largest political party in Africa" to an ignominious end. |
By now, it should be clear to an unbiased mind that PO lacks what it takes to be a successful leader. At this critical time in our nation's history, any man who is know for lacking the courage to take decisive decisions (devoid of emotions & populist applause) on pressing matters cannot & should not even be contemplating running for President. Nonetheless, whatever his dilemma may be, he put himself in it. Only him can remove himself but does he have the balls? Only time will tell. |
What's a simp, again? Ngl, I cringed reading through screenshots of their chats; guy either has low self-esteem or he just likes being a wimp around ladies or maybe even both - a low self-esteem guy or a wimp. Anyways, he deserves what he got. |
Believe anything that proceeds from the former Anambra Governor's mouth at your own risk. Never seen a man so given to emotional, tribal, religious & political sentiments. Never, also, have I seen a man whose stock in trade is twerking/pandering to public sentiments. Anyways, I wish good luck to the parties in this disputed case. |
Again, all politics is what, again? It's local! Unfortunately for Alhaji Atiku, his political travails are far from over. This is just the beginning... |
You see that last paragraph "Our focus is on serving the people of Kaduna State and building a united, inclusive, healthier, and more prosperous society—free from toxicity, discrimination, division, and exclusivity"? It will continue to be an albatross on Malam El-rufai's neck. For his many good deeds as governor, his notoriety for elevating "toxicity, discrimination, division and exclusivity" to a state policy, would forever be a dent on his image. It's another reason why the coalition are being cautious in making him a face of their movement; while there's no doubt that he would be a potent voice in shaping/driving toxic & divisive rhetorics against the Tinubu-led admin, they also have to be careful how he's deployed because most northern Christians (in Southern Kaduna, Plateau, Taraba, Bauchi, Gombe, Adamawa, Benue, Kogi) don't have a good perception of him. |
Politics is just amazing; there are never permanent foes, just permanent interests. Less than 3yrs after Alhaji Atiku led a coalition that included then disgruntled PDP elements (with him being chief among them) to unseat then PGEJ (Reno's boss) from Aso Rock, Reno was already hobnobbing and even helping the chief betrayer of his boss to recruit a spox. Isn't that interesting? |
This was major news headlines back then & I don't recall Coach Samson Siasia immediately debunking the claims by Mikel Obi that he spent his personal money on the team just to save Nigeria a global embarrassment. Perhaps, it's not flight arrangements he paid for but to deny now that he didn't spend a dime of his own personal money to fund some activities in the national football team (activities that ought to have been paid for by the NFF/Sports Ministry) that won bronze in the 2016 Rio Olympics must be a huge joke! |
They'll not protest or come out en mass to lend their voices to calls for an end to politically, ethnically and religiously motivated killings under their noses: it's what's happening in a far away continent that doesn't concern them directly nor have any bearing on their lives and livelihoods is what they'll be concerned about. Hypocrites of the highest order. |
This is how you counter falsehoods and revisionists propaganda - with historical facts (names, places & events) that are already in public domain. If Baba Bayo Onanuga were to be the one saddled with responding to Alh. Sule Lamido, he would've started with insults and ended with even more insults and propaganda about how PBAT has been the best thing to happen to our democracy since 1960. |
nlfpmod:Lol. As an alumni of this great citadel of learning, this dress code isn't a new thing; there was even a time (can't remember if it was under the late Prof. Mahdi or his immediate successor) that the University put up a "wall of shame" If you're caught flouting the dress code at that time, you'll be marched to the security office (used to be near Faculty of Arts) & your photos taken (like a mugshot) & published in a bulletin. Sadly, decades later, this rules are still being imposed on students. Anyways, the students will adjust 'cause they know A.B.U don't play when it comes to enforcing their rules and regulations. |
