God bless you! Appreciate it adwal2020: Hello Ayobami2001,
This is not the slip. What you attached is a Biometric validity letter.
The slip you are to mail with your passport is the long yellowish colour slip that was given to you when you did your biometric. Attached is a sample for your info. Thanks |

One’s letter of explanation has to be on point precisely showing career progression...that’s a major key like you have mentioned in your post.
Plus let’s not forget to always pray for God’s Favour. Only him can grant true success.

I appreciate the feedback. Please which of the attached pictures is the Biometrics confirmation slip to be included when dispatching ones passport to VFS? olasubomy: I think you will have to use a courier, i know DHL is very reliable and you would be able to track the movement of your passport realtime. You can pay addtional charge for insurance of your passort with the courier if you are concerned about the safety of your passprt but i am sure your passport will be well handled.

Thank you very much Lekiboboe: Congratulations Honorable AY on your PPR
1) No you can't take it to VFS office (Lekki) in person, even if it's the place you did your Biometrics
You have to go to DHL office (Its reliable) @ Isolo Expressway, near Toyota Bus-Stop/7 & 8 Bus-stop, New Airport Rd Junction Isolo Lagos
There might be other branches in Lagos though, you can google & check for that .
And take note, the DHL Office @ Nahco ,MMIA , Lagos don't courier this type of documents reason is ,they only deal with documents going overseas ,not documents going to Domestic Locations like VFS, Lekki.
2) Yes you would be charged
The courier fee is #1,650, but since you are in Lagos, in case of any miscellaneous/unforseen circumstances, hold more money
When you get to this DHL office at ISOLO, Lagos, the Security man would give you a form to fill.
This is the Address you will mail it to
Canada Visa Application Centre Ground Floor, The Manor Plot 110, Admiral Ayinla Way, Lekki Phase 1 Lagos Nigeria
Documents to go with to the DHL Office
- Two copies of your international passport data page - Your International Passport itself - Passport request letter - Biometric confirmation slip -Two copies of signed VFS consent forms
Download the VFS Consent Form Via the link below https://www.nairaland.com/5818588/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/475#95633153
Put everything in a Big Brown Envelope,
Write your FULL NAME, ADDRESS, PHONE NO. & Email Address on the Envelope BODLY |

Hello Guys
Please I need your help. So I got my PPR a few days back and I will like to seek clarification.
1. Can I take my passport in-person to VFS office in Lekki where I registered my biometrics instead of using courier? Plus am I going to be charged for delivery when I drop my passport?
2. If I will be charged, I will appreciate anyone can tell me how much I should take along with me.
I have attached a screenshot of my application timeline for anyone interested.
Thanks!

Don’t overthink it. Just start your classes. The important thing is being enrolled. You are recognized officially as a student and this will count later. Whatever course exam you can’t write in-person by that date, you can withdraw from the exams and re-enroll for them in another semester. Trust God and never say never. OkpeJohn: Please did anyone know or have ideal about Nigerian student group in German or particularly in Hamburg and how anyone can reach them?
And also, I have being admitted enrolled with matriculation number.. My Student account at stud.ip has being set up and I have started online course via zoom as no-one is allow for physical class now bcoz of covid19. And I need till January 15th 2021 to present in Germany, can anyone here know how this situation can be of a favour or advantage to securing visa before the schedule date?
Please I really need a candid brotherly love |

Yes you can book an appointment without a funded account. You take the confirmation of a funded blocked account document when you go for your visa appointment at the embassy. You might want to chill with funding the blocked account till when you get a visa appointment date. Just my opinion. Bflexing: Good day everyone,
Please can I book an appointment with the embassy without a funded account? I have opened the blocked account and it would take a week for the transfer to get there. At what point will I need the confirmation that there's money in the blocked account?
Thanks |

Hello, please I sent you a message. I will really appreciate a reply. dipotol: Thank you. Germans are very fast, it was difficult to catch up with their pace especially with Nigeria factors( Internet, light). So, I stopped attending the lectures since it was not compulsory to write the exam then. So, I channeled the time and energy to something else and of course, I was following up with my school mails and maintaining correspondence with my course coordinator and I re enrolled for winter when it was time to do that.
I hope this helps |

I don't know of any link where we are to upload this letter of presence. My understanding is that you take this letter with you when on the day of your visa interview, along with other essential documents. I stand to be corrected please. bobbybiggs: I received a letter of presence recently. Do you have an idea where (e.g email) the letter of presence is to be directed to.
The contact form and the appointment booking page does not have a place for document upload.
Thanks. |

I don’t think so...it doesn’t hurt to just request for a letter of presence from your school and get their feedback. Mantoso: The picture I wanted to attach isn't working.
However, that's what I have on my AL, "You are expected to be present in Germany for enrollment."
Does this mean Letter of Presence as much as AL? |

The blocked account with Fintiba, what’s the difference with Fintiba+ account and is the health insurance from Fintiba valid? For clarity, pls who has paid the blocked account funds before? I saw I am to block about £10521 isn’t that too much or its because of the fintiba+. I thought I should just check everything with Fintiba

If it is going directly from your school to your Uni in Germany...it’s already certified as an official document, don’t worry charliesyndrom: Advice pls! I am planning on evaluating my Nigerian certificate. As part of the instructions, it was stated that the transcript has to be certified, I dont know how I'll certify it because my university can only send it to the office requesting for it, it is not usually issued to students as it is an official document. Or is there no need for certification if it's coming directly from the school in a sealed and enclosed envelope? |

I just got this mail from my programme co-ordinator in the school I got admitted to. Will printing out this email suffice as documentation for the embassy or I still have to request for a letter stating my presence is required for the programme on campus. Nania: Guys the list of exemptions have been uploaded on the German Lagos consulate websites. You re required to contact the consulate through the contact form or line to clarify with them. Noted on the website is the requirement that you need to have a letter of presence from your school stating categorically that your presence is needed in Germany despite the corona virus. Only then can you get your appointment date. I v just sent a message to them via their contact form. I will equally call them tomorrow to let them know I have a letter of presence from my school. We LL see what happens after that.
