Hi Android and iPhone users, This is Andrew Bocking, head of BBM at BlackBerry. As a follow up to our first blog post on Saturday, I want to take a moment to provide you with an update on the rollout of BBM on Android and iPhone. Last week, an unreleased, older version of the BBM for Android app was posted on numerous file sharing sites. We were aware of an issue with this unreleased version of the BBM for Android app. This older version resulted in volumes of data traffic orders of magnitude higher than normal for each active user and impacted the system in abnormal ways. The version we were planning to release on Saturday addressed these issues, however we could not block users of the unreleased version if we went ahead with the launch. We attempted to address the problems caused by the unreleased version throughout the day on Saturday, but as active users of the unreleased app neared a million – and accelerated – it became clear that the only way to address the issue was to pause the rollout for both Android and iPhone. The team is now focused on adjusting the system to completely block this unreleased version of the Android app when we go live with the official BBM for Android app. We are also making sure that the system is reinforced to handle this kind of scenario in the future. While this may sound like a simple task – it’s not. This will take some time and I do not anticipate launching this week. Thank you for your patience while we take the time needed to deliver the experience you expect from BBM. We will continue to provide you with updates here on InsideBlackBerry.com and through @BBM on Twitter. We will notify everyone who has pre-registered on BBM.com when BBM is available on Android and iPhone. We are gathered here in the presence of God and men to join these people in holy matrimony. We know they have been sleeping together in secret but now they can do it with the knowledge of everyone. And as marriage is holy, at least in theory, I put it forth that if there is anyone in this gathering who has a valid reason why these two should not be joined, speak now or forever hold your peace: Anyone…? Is there anyone...? C'mon, he must have slept with some of you? Someone....? Anyone....? I know someone here has slept with her too? Well, I guess they were all one-night stands. Moving on swiftly. Mr Groom, do you take this woman as your lawfully wedded bride, to love to cherish and to hold, to listen to her whining halfway through the night, always suck up to her father, to always lose an argument or else...,to give all your pay without reservations, to be the worker while she is the minister of finance, to ignore your relatives while taking care of hers, to listen to unending lies about her having a headache when you really need to release steam, put up with PMS... Sometimes faked... till death do you part? (I do?.....) Very well. And do you Miss Bride, take this man to be your lawfully wedded husband, to love to cherish and to hold, to cook for, clean up after, give up watching soaps and anything interesting when there is football, find the toilet seat up every time, Clean pee of it, take care of kids alone, house his in laws, cook tea for his friends during any important game for all the days of your life? (I do? .... ) Well then, I pronounce you husband and wife. What God has joined, let no man, neighbour, handsome workmate, barmaid, beer brand, ex's, in-laws, milkman, shamba-boy, driver or sexy secretary put asunder. You may kiss the bride... |
Yes!!! In nigeria they are meant to be worn indoors, even in night clubs *shrugs* |
mutaalim: @ op Nothing Like Akudaya (incarnate) i think that is the appropriate English word for it back to your questionJinn? Which one is Jinn again, if Jinns really exist, the world will be full of dead peoples. Oh mine, maybe am a Jin |
twogood: Man is destined to die ONCE and after that to face judgement. Heb 9:27. Don't think there'll be time to appear in different places.A dead person is a normal human being now? |
Professor : You are a Christian, aren’t you, son ? Student : Yes, sir. Professor: So, you believe in GOD ? Student : Absolutely, sir. Professor : Is GOD good ? Student : Sure. Professor: Is GOD all powerful ? Student : Yes. Professor: My brother died of cancer even though he prayed to GOD to heal him. Most of us would attempt to help others who are ill. But GOD didn’t. How is this GOD good then? Hmm? (Student was silent.) Professor: You can’t answer, can you ? Let’s start again, young fella. Is GOD good? Student : Yes. Professor: Is satan good ? Student : No. Professor: Where does satan come from ? Student : From … GOD … Professor: That’s right. Tell me son, is there evil in this world? Student : Yes. Professor: Evil is everywhere, isn’t it ? And GOD did make everything. Correct? Student : Yes. Professor: So who created evil ? (Student did not answer.) Professor: Is there sickness? Immorality? Hatred? Ugliness? All these terrible things exist in the world, don’t they? Student : Yes, sir. Professor: So, who created them ? (Student had no answer.) Professor: Science says you have 5 Senses you use to identify and observe the world around you. Tell me, son, have you ever seen GOD? Student : No, sir. Professor: Tell us if you have ever heard your GOD? Student : No , sir. Professor: Have you ever felt your GOD, tasted your GOD, smelt your GOD? Have you ever had any sensory perception of GOD for that matter? Student : No, sir. I’m afraid I haven’t. Professor: Yet you still believe in Him? Student : Yes. Professor : According to Empirical, Testable, Demonstrable Protocol, Science says your GOD doesn’t exist. What do you say to that, son? Student : Nothing. I only have my faith. Professor: Yes, faith. And that is the problem Science has. Student : Professor, is there such a thing as heat? Professor: Yes. Student : And is there such a thing as cold? Professor: Yes. Student : No, sir. There isn’t. (The lecture theater became very quiet with this turn of events.) Student : Sir, you can have lots of heat, even more heat, superheat, mega heat, white heat, a little heat or no heat. But we don’t have anything called cold. We can hit 458 degrees below zero which is no heat, but we can’t go any further after that. There is no such thing as cold. Cold is only a word we use to describe the absence of heat. We cannot measure cold. Heat is energy. Cold is not the opposite of heat, sir, just the absence of it. (There was pin-drop silence in the lecture theater.) Student : What about darkness, Professor? Is there such a thing as darkness? Professor: Yes. What is night if there isn’t darkness? Student : You’re wrong again, sir. Darkness is the absence of something. You can have low light, normal light, bright light, flashing light. But if you have no light constantly, you have nothing and its called darkness, isn’t it? In reality, darkness isn’t. If it is, well you would be able to make darkness darker, wouldn’t you? Professor: So what is the point you are making, young man ? Student : Sir, my point is your philosophical premise is flawed. Professor: Flawed ? Can you explain how? Student : Sir, you are working on the premise of duality. You argue there is life and then there is death, a good GOD and a bad GOD. You are viewing the concept of GOD as something finite, something we can measure. Sir, Science can’t even explain a thought. It uses electricity and magnetism, but has never seen, much less fully understood either one. To view death as the opposite of life is to be ignorant of the fact that death cannot exist as a substantive thing. Death is not the opposite of life: just the absence of it. Now tell me, Professor, do you teach your students that they evolved from a monkey? Professor: If you are referring to the natural evolutionary process, yes, of course, I do. Student : Have you ever observed evolution with your own eyes, sir? (The Professor shook his head with a smile, beginning to realize where the argument was going.) Student : Since no one has ever observed the process of evolution at work and cannot even prove that this process is an on-going endeavor. Are you not teaching your opinion, sir? Are you not a scientist but a preacher? (The class was in uproar.) Student : Is there anyone in the class who has ever seen the Professor’s brain? (The class broke out into laughter. ) Student : Is there anyone here who has ever heard the Professor’s brain, felt it, touched or smelt it? No one appears to have done so. So, according to the established Rules of Empirical, Stable, Demonstrable Protocol, Science says that you have no brain, sir. With all due respect, sir, how do we then trust your lectures, sir? (The room was silent. The Professor stared at the student, his face unfathomable.) Professor: I guess you’ll have to take them on faith, son. Student : That is it sir … Exactly ! The link between man & GOD is FAITH. That is all that keeps things alive and moving. P.S. I believe you have enjoyed the conversation. And if so, you’ll probably want your friends / colleagues to enjoy the same, won’t you? Forward this to increase their knowledge … or FAITH. By the way, that student was EINSTEIN. |
I was amazed when I came across this picture of a friends phone, and I wonder can nigeria ever be better thank it is now? Your views;

Well this is africa, stuffs like this happen they say even in movies we see. my dad told me of one that happen to him, his close friend who died sometime ago. After months of his death, a mutual friend went to cotonu to buy furnitures, on getting there he saw the same dead guy, in a workshop working alongside some other people, he was the boss of the place same as when he was a alive.. The man came back home, called my dad, and they both went to cotonou, when he saw it with his own eyes, from distance studying, and was convinced he was the one, he came back to nigeria, and ask the wife and the son to follow him, and they all went to the place, on getting there, and the dead man seeing all of them, smile at them, and welcome them into the workshop, and he entered with them and he just called his son, and he parted the son on his head, and said' you have grown' all of them couldn't talk, he said his mouth was heavy , legs stiff, and the man stood up went outside the door, and was never seen again since then. After 3min my dad said he stood up and went outside and made enquiry and they said he said he wanted to buy something, and that was the end of it all never seen again. So I think it might actually be true, that's if the old man, didn't cook It up for me, because I asked him the same question when the story popped up. Also in our estate a man that carries touch at night anytime his walkn at night, slumped and died, my dad was sitting in the sitting room, and he was like he saw a shadow of sum1 lookn like the man with touch, and he called out to draw his attention, he said he stood up and went after the man, by d time he got there, nothing, the next morning, he heard the man has dead. So .... The mith may be true. And even in the bible if am right when jesus was dead he appeared to some people, am not a bible scholar so don't blame me if am wrong |
Awwwww, so nice of far222's |
Best of luck with that |
Nice piece though,this should make the front page. |
This is hilarious |
Otuabaroku: @ Ayo, I'm not comfortable with your choice of word "white man". It makes it seem that only or every white man behaves that way. For instance I'm a white man(lol) but I do not behave that way. In this case ,the person in question is not civilised enough to know how to talk to people. A black man can equally behave this way, so, is not a question of white man.Ok tanx bro, am not of the stereotype that white bosses behave that way, am just sharing my experience and also asking others if they encounter any funny or anything with there white bosses. That's all. |
