ayogabriel: I was contacted by a company to recommend a cost controller. Been a cost controller I recommended my self.
I went for the test and interview, met with the MD. He wouldn't take me because I work for a brother company. My company happens to be one of there client. That was the only hiccup. This happened just few weeks ago.
I would have been a direct testimony. Another company contacted me, asking me to submit my application for the same post. Set up your profile. Make it professional.
I am hardly call upon for test or interviews, through submitting CVS, But through linkedIn I have had a few. Cost controller job opening in said company vacancy available, location PHC . Send your CV to adenikangabriel@gmail.com Topic cost controller NL |

Phones › Re: What Made You Switch To Iphone And Never Looked Back?? by ayogabriel: 8:48am On May 01, 2023 |
I use the latest of the 2 devices. They both have their perk .
IPhone 13 pro, great user experience nice feel, and great camera. Major turn-off Battery health went from 100% to 90% in 2 month Suspect heavy usage of WhatsApp, posting on WhatsApp lag because it has to download from cloud most time.
Samsung s22. Great camera, and a great battery, the user experience is better due to Android flexibility. I go about my usual business without the constant headache of battery wahala.
With Samsung, working is way easier and navigating is way better.
Overall I might be dumping the iPhone in weeks to come |

olisaemeka1: Pls I need inputs on Mitsubishi Outlander . Has any member driven one ? Is it a strong car Would you recommend purchase? It’s an 05-07model.
Grateful for quick and insightful responses My first Experience of this car was a brand new owned by my aunt back in 2008 there about. it was quiet reliable, but as it aged couple of things started going wrong with it. However she gave to her sis who still use it till this day, but i do not know how much of the car is left. Body wise its still very very good, engine wise ; No idea |

Amypriti: Good morning
Pls need assistance with my Acura mdx 2008
Anytime I start the car to drive and accelerate... It doesn't pick up quickly. It becomes slow no matter how hard I press down. Then after few seconds it picks up with force. My technician told me it's fuel pump which has been changed but the issue still persists
Pls need assistance on WHT the cause would be and how to get it rectified
Thank you! A friend had the same issue, it was a sensor that was responsible for that. He changed it and that was all. it was a 2012 mdx though. |

Gazuzz must be a criminal for trying to sell same part at 160k when you were able to get it at 135k.
Gazzuz must be avoided. He isn’t a criminal. It’s business. If you don’t agree with a price you move. Goodwill and insurance is what comes with his price. Check jiji and you will see 140-170k |
Car Talk › Re: Hybrid Repair Problem by ayogabriel: 3:29pm On Apr 04, 2022 |
ayogabriel: I visited @Youngdoc Over the weekend.
My Toyota Camry hybrid 2009 abs, has been making an unpleasant noise for a while now. Because of work i have been unable to get it fixed. We decided to fix a date. He came late but apologized profusely that it was unlike him.
He didn't go straight to changing the part.
So this is it;
I have had the car for about 1 year and 6 month. The noise coming from the abs was so minimal that could be ignored as at the time i got it. I took a trip from Port Harcourt to Lagos. After 2 weeks of coming back to PH, the noise became prominent.
I reached out to my usual hybrid guys. They pointed to the ABS but they advice i change the master break, as the noise seem to emanate from it and sending the sound to the ABS. I was reluctant but we went ahead. 39k and the noise was still there.
I didn't want to get upset as i was the one that gave them a go ahead. I had reached out to oga @gazzuzz earlier this year. He slammed me 120k. I kept dragging feet. Few days After changing master break the noise disappeared. 120k saved i was already happy. I continued cruising the car. While in traffic and blasting my music i started hearing what felt like the noise. low and behold it was back. I chatted with @gazzuzz. ABS 160k. KILODE!!! I told him i could not afford it. We ended the conversation.
The butterflies in my stomach died. I called @youngdoc telling him the noise is back as i had informed him earlier. He invited me to his workshop the next day which was Saturday. I woke up around 6am hoping the noise will disappear but the village people are here to stay.
He first pointed out the 700 break fluid is the usual one which was in the system and it gets so Hot. It might be the culprit he said.
We bled it the system and replaced with the recommended blue color one.
BOOM!!! the noise disappeared. I almost gave him a kiss. We agreed on price, gate open, while reversing the sound came back. At this point i hunger came and frustration on everyone's face.
He and his young comrades were disappointed as i was. He asked me to drop the car and go home.
I booked a ride. I went home and slept. He called someone to bring a direct ABS to test with. The ABS at his workshop was used but the pump refuse to work.
Around 3 i made my way back to his workshop. He said the new ABS worked and the sound has disappeared. I was happy and sad. Happy because it worked sad because i had to spend 150k on another ABS. That's the price my usual guys gave me excluding shipping from lagos as they cant find it here in ph.
Getting to the shop , tested the car and all sound gone. Break was sharper all was good.
So back to the price, He negotiated 135k with the abs guy already.
I looked into his eyes like, Really!!! I had already communicated the price of others to him so wondered why he didn't pocket the 15k on top and send the balance to the guy. I guess few honest engineers still exist.
@youngdoc is quiet young and open to suggestions. He explained every step of the way when i ask him questions. The second guy was even younger, as well as the 3rd. i couldn't help but ask how long he has been working on hybrid. They were not fidgeting or anything as i decided to stay incase i notice try and error i carry car commot, but that was not the case.
I am sure he will be shocked reading this.
Thank you champ.
I think this should be the official hybrid thread in Port Harcourt.

Klass99: I still feel the same way, but sorry I prefer meeting people naturally and organically, in the course of my normal activities. Not online and definitely not from Nairaland.
If you don't mind my asking, why don't you want children? Is it a matter of choice or defective reproductive organs? The chances of meeting people like us in the normal world is quiet slim. Hence, I decided to search Nairaland and found your post. It’s a matter of choice |

Klass99: You're not alone in the decision to be child free and like you, I make my own choices too, irrespective of cultural norms and practices, societal expectations or what other people think.
Your entire post and narrative lights up my heart, I like the mindset I see and I like a kindred spirit. The bolded parts of your text are things I can relate to and I totally feel you on. Hi, sequel to your post, if you are still up for it. Do you mind we having a chat? |

sabanageorge: What do you guys think about never wanting a child? I just have that weird feeling of not wanting a child ever. Do any of you get these same feelings? My reasons are not because I hate children. On the contrary, I like my little nephews and nieces. But I feel like I just wanna be free to live my life unencumbered, make my own decisions without having to worry about how they'll affect a kid or kids, and just up and travel anytime I want. I'm terrified about bringing a child into this world. I never wanna do it. Does anyone feel the same? Hi, do you still feel this way? If yes can we have a chat? |
