Education › Re: 9 Reasons Why Nigerian Polytechnics Are Better Than Universities by ayokenny37(m): 2:38pm On Feb 25, 2016 |
this is the only reasonable and unbiased post in this thread McDoe: One is pained when he is faced with such comparisons. Nigerians are too full of ego. The university student will always prove that he is on top but it is never so. We all have our different skills and knowledge capability. Graduating from the university does not make you a super hero. Neither does coming out from a Polytechnic makes u irrelevant. The two are tertiary institutions and citadel of knowledge. The knowledge acquired and how u are able to put it in use is what matters. Therefore this argument is unnecessary. |

pls pls and pls dont ever buy naija used EOD IamDelilah: Good Morning all,
I intend to buy a Nigerian used car/suv by the end of this year, and I can't seem to make up my mind on the brand. I'm looking at the following:
Toyota Solara (either of the 2 models) Honda EOD (or the coupé) Nissan Xterra (2004 model, the one with round headlamps) Volkswagen Golf 4 or 5
I work on the Island and live in the mainland. This is a car I'd be using EVERYDAY. In terms of cost of maintenance, fuel efficiency and economy, which is the best to purchase?
The roads I ply aren't so bad. The reason I mentioned SUV is because I'm pretty small (5ft3), and even in a baby boy, I can't see beyond the steering, I have to sit on a pillow. SUVs are high, so I'll have a clear view.
Thank you |

Its not because u have BSc you have a job Its God's Grace I have HND with a nice paying job. I was the only HND holder amongst all the applicants then, i got the job. Advice: all HND holders, got get professional certifications to boost your change of job placement. Above all God's grace and mercy is the ultimate Copee: When I see people saying they are going to the polytechnic, I cant just help but pity them. The discrimination in the labour market id massive. I finished ND and still wrote Jamb. Then I got admission to start 100L at University of Benin. My friends at the polytechnic were laughing at me saying that was backwardness. To cut the long story short, I have a very good job today and most of them are still at home and the few ones working are teachers. Sorry bro and I think the Government needs to do something about it. |

You are just a waste to your parents quote author=Philadelphia post=42719531] The one big question has always been "Did they force you to go for a HND programme?" When others wrote JAMB and passed it, why did you not write/ fail/ meet the cutoff? Since you can always go back to school, or convert your HND to a degree, I don't see the need for your ranting #bittertruth
|

nicerichard05: Last 2 Sundays I overheard when 2 men (church workers) pointing to a youth, that this is making it the third time she is gaining admission into the university buh no sponsor! On hearing that, I was like wow, no sponsor in this kinda church when almost everybody are living a comfortable life with excess. I was forced to ask the man, that why can't the church do something about it buh he said the church have too many people on their welfare list already.
Pls Nlanders am I going to do the right by doing that or its not biblical? Deu 26:12 When thou hast made an end of tithing all the tithes of thine increase the third year, which is the year of tithing, and hast given it unto the Levite, the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, that they may eat within thy gates, and be filled. Bro, i will advice you use ur tithe to sponsor this student. |
