Hubby dey fear as we are obviously gonna spend x3 of what we did back in 2014 due to the exchange rate, which is why I want to stay with someone this time around as opposed to getting a rented accommodation like I did last time which made my costs more.

Also I got my renewed visa via drob box just last month. stating my purpose to be visiting. but with all this trump issues, does the change of intent still work? (i did this successfully in 2014 like many other mamas here) abeg no extra doh to go visiting and come back again before going to give birth.

I currently work in a commercial bank in an MIS/Analytics role, and I've been doing that for about 6 years now. I know a bit of Excel and SQL. It's on the back of this work experience that I want to apply for the role. My question is that how likely am I to get in, considerig this background.

Thanks all for the advice on travelex earlier. Now this is how the experience went:
My friend went to hustle for dollar on the 15th in order to travel with Virgin Atlantic on the 16th Nov by 11am. People travelling on 15th were disappointed by travelex as they haven't really started selling when their plane started boarding. He explained to the staff on duty who advised him to try and get on 15th using online boarding pass. Meanwhile he got to the airport around 6.30am and was already around number 60 on the list. They mixed up line and all, gave tallies, changed to queues, etc. Eventually he got dollar around 7pm at rate of N385. Though travelex collected online boarding pass for the processing but this is said to be based on discretion of the officer selling. He was given his dollar at the boarding gate on the 16th Nov. Mehn dollar hustle is real o.

Traveled on 6th Nov. Flight was for 11am; I got to Travelex at 3.15am. Number was 6. Still didn't get before traveling

Oohkkk thanks...If you want to use Travelex at the Airport, would you have to go with the whole Naira Equivalent in cash for lets say you changing $4000 or they allow some kind of bank transfer option or POS payment??

Heard they are not selling at the moment but POS is the best, fastest and most recommended way of paying the naira equivalent. But the debit card has to be in the name of the applicant. You must also ensure that your bank doesn't cap usahe limits below the amount you'll be paying. It's better to contact your bank to verify the limit and/or increase it for you

Very long post.
In the spirit of giving back, had a smooth journey – God took control all the way.
We booked BA for 29th of October late night flight, DH has already gotten to the airport as early as 3pm cos of the supposed queue at ttravellex while I stayed back at home and had already printed out the boarding pass. I got to the airport at about 7ish, DH hadn’t bee attended to yet. I checked in for both of us and continued the waiting game. It eventually got to our turn around 9pm – like @oye84 had earlier advised here on NL the fair lady with glasses that attended to us was pretty fast and understanding. We then proceeded to boarding, there was more than enough room and food on board and slept for most of it.

Please at what rate did you get the PTA?

You should get a reply from them within one or two business day. If they reply you with a Noc 0, A, B. Then you can start the EE process.

Say for instance, at your visa interview, you stated New York as your vacation destination and then you decide to change to, say, California at the time you eventually travel. Assuming you have a new hotel reservation for the California hotel, will one still be fine at POE?

Johnie, it doesn't matter that where you intend staying has changed, make sure you have a printed hard copy of your reservation with you. If asked at the POE where you're staying, be sincere and tell them the hotel (show the reservation), the reason you have given is ok. It happens often times when you end up staying in hotel other than the one booked to apply for visa.

I have gone through the 10 reasons. Am more concerned with No 9. Cos am travelling for the first time. I have a 2years b1/b2 US visa. Issued me to attend a conference in January in Washington DC. I couldnt not make it due to health issue. Now i plan going for Vacation in New York City. For just 6days. I bought a New York City pass. An electronic card that gives me access to over 80 tourist attraction sites in New York. I have hotel reservation for d 6days i will stay. I plan carrying a doctors report as why i didnt attend d conference. I also have my return ticket. I will be travelling a week after Easter. Am taking just enough clothes for d 6days nothing else. Am so concerned about POE as am using d visa for d 1st time on Vacation instead of conference d reason i was issued d visa. Am taking my hotel reservation for d 6days. My return ticket, a 6days New york city pass. Them doctors report. Which other document do i need to take along. Do i still need to hold d conference invitation? What are my chances with d POE officials? Pls ur contributions are welcomed base on experience. Thanks. Just worried
