Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Has Anyone Actually Gotten A Job From Nairaland Job Section by Ayrastarr(f): 10:15pm On Jan 11, 2024 |
Yes. Not for me tho. For my friends and relatives. Most of the writing jobs my sis has done were all from Nairaland. All the good Nairalanders have left Nairaland. This place Is just filled with bigots now. 2016-2019, met a lot of super-rich people that I wouldn't meet In real life. One nairalander even asked me if I was done with school so he could fix me somewhere(One of the top companies In Nigeria). I wasn't done with school then, but I kept In touch until I lost my phone In 2021 and his contact. I keep going through my mail to see if I can remember his name but I really can't. N/b: my old account was banned for 70years so I created this one. |

Obnoxious2001: So I am thinking of traveling to Benin to for a course. The course duration is around 6months.
Now my problem is how do you tackle accommodation for a short period if you don't have people present in that place.
Besides this accommodation is also affecting people job search. My friend earlier Moved to Lagos after he got a job without any accommodation in place.
Please drop your tactics or strategy on how to survive. (Besides rents are no longer paid monthly in Nigeria ) I use Facebook most time. I searched "Roommate needed In so-so place" It brought out post of people who needs roommates. I send them a message from there. |

Pussyisgud: Exactly, office cleaning pays 35k for a Monday - Friday job, while hotel /lounge /bar hospitality cleaning can be doing shifts but the problem here is that they would not allow you to work double shifts and earn double salary in the same hotel, if you decide to be working double jobs at two a separate hotels (morning and night shifts) how are you gonna meet up with arriving on early for both jobs and also you will not be sleeping at night or day coz u will be at work and automatically no holidays or off days for you. In order words you will neglect yourself start looking like zombie to the extent that small time YOU WILL JUST DIE. You are actually right. Sad situation |

They drop how much the companies pay their staff. Before you go for an interview, don't you google about the company? Please, just get off my mention! |

jedisco: For Question 1 and 3, the answers are clear on the UKVI Health care visa webpage. Regarding basic visa rules, you'd not get any information online that'd rival what you have there.
Extra work has to be in thesame occupation code as your mainjob or a shortage occupation. Extra work done with your sponsor is not counted towards your 20hrs.
For Q2. No. Hi Jedisco. You kinda know a lot. Please, I want to ask: if I get married to a British citizen, then move to London and have a global certification like CSCP. Can I get a Job? do I need to start with Menial jobs or go for Masters? |

007inc: Nobody said anything about staying in Togo or Benin for 6 months although some folks do it ( they know what’s at stake). What I was pointing out is having a valid 6-month residency before proceeding to the Embassy. It means Togo & Benin is now your temporary address. Oh. I get now. Thank you |

007inc: Hallo Everyone! I observed that the study route process took a different turn since during the COVID era and a lot has changed unlike it used to be pre-2018. People applying and having to wait for over 1 year to get interview dates cos they don’t fall into a “special” category. Well I have carefully studied and analyzed the trend, and had a friend apply the strategy. For candidates who which to study in Germany, here is a strategy that worked it’s a “7-month plan”; 1. Bookmark prospective schools 2. Move to Togo or Benín to apply for a resident 3. Apply for as many schools as possible 4.Ensure that your residency is Atleast 6-months old before you proceed to the embassy( from experience) 5. Proceed to apply via your new country of residence. 6. Takes approximately 1 month to conclude visa process if you have everything in place ( Sponsor letter or Blocked account)
About me: Studied in Germany (2017) got every info from this platform too.
Learn to utilize your time by applying the right strategy. Advice: For those in Data Science/Engineering/Analytic & Software development or any tech space, make sure you start looking for internships as soon as you arrive. Germany NEEDS YOU.
For those who needs SL, it’s also available but one must fit some criteria ( People prefer giving it to females).
I will respond to mentions & PMs ( when I got the chance, also busy with work)
Goodluck This question might sound silly but I really want to understand something. If one travel to Togo or Benin, what are we going to be doing there for the 6months? Work, school? I really want to get this part |
