I felt helpless and just wanted to end my life to let go of all the pains. To crown that, I lost about 280k to some investment companies (200k to Themap.ng, and 80k to Quinsessientials.... Money turn monkey wey go market but e no return). Crazy thing is/was,noone to hold responsible. They were doin fine until I decided to try them out. I had tried doin businesses on 3 occasions (I sold Bluetooth mouse, smart watches, and palm slippers), but only broke even. I was happy I didn't lose though). Everythng got me frustrated. I was tired of life with all that was happening
Around that time, my contacts on their WhatsApp status were posting... Depressions is real, talk to someone if you feel depressed, check up on someone you have not heard from in a long time... Blah blah blah.. So I decided to chat up some of my friends
The first 2 I told were my online female friends I was comfortable with, but they were all scared and couldn't sleep that night.. They kept on checking up on me at short intervals I broke into tears at some point and told them to go and sleep after they made me promise them not to do anythng funny that night. Pius upload a pix on his WhatsApp status and I commented Nd we got talking.. Then I told him how I felt.. He called me on phone instantly and told me some things I will like to share to you, that made me have a rethink.
If one commits suicide, he switches to the other world, and will be dead to the pains of this world. It is the loved ones that bear the brunt. They are the once that feel the pains. Imagine the parents waiting to reap the dividends of their investment someday, only to get shattered at such bad news. Some collapse upon hearing such news.
Now Pius said when his won happened.. He had to be strong for his family: his fragile mum who is now of age, his dad, his younger sister, his wife (she already got fond of him) and himself. This is a young man in his early 30s. He had to be strong for everyone. Can you imagine how that would have been for him, especially for someone that just lost his younger brother?
When next such funny thoughts come you, remember all your loved ones esp those that care for you. Imagine them smiling and how happy they will be when they hear you achieve a ground breaking success (because you definitely will, if only you persevere a little). Now, imagine their expressions of they hear the crazy news about your enemy...
Once there is life, there is hope.

For me, I don't take the sound of depression or suicidal thoughts likely since that incident. Try to make yourself happy when you get moody. Stroll out, see a movie on your phone, talk to your close friends, watch comedy on YouTube (I have grown to love AKPAN AND ODUMA, and PAPA BENJI). Whatever makes you happy. You happiness and sanity is key. Nigeria is crazy enough on its own, Lagos stress sef na real wa.

So yesterday morning I got the news in my village in Imo State about lockdown in SE starting tomorrow (Friday till 10th)

So I left my village yesterday to Aba to buy my phone from slot opposite Abia poly, I headed straight to milvaton park to get bus ticket to Abj, they all told me to come in the morning (today)
I lodged so this morning I got there at 5:50am the crowd I saw was much, by the time I got to Abuja park as of 6:am 1st and 2nd bus(Sienna) already left, I got the 3rd bus while I was still there the 4th and 5th bus got filled too

People trying to beat the deadline to avoid being stocked at home

The second semester you see on your portal is the school calendar and does not mean you are in your second semester. The school is currently on the second semester in 2021!
Let me explain. NOUN admits students every semester, this means for every semester running, there students in both first and second semester running the semester concurrently. Read that again.
So, while you are in your first semester now, others are in their second semester. NOUN uses their Calendar to differentiate the semesters but it doesn't mean you are in your first or second semester.
Hope u understand. What matters is that you were able to register your first semester courses. That's all.

It's been a minute since I have logged in here. Phew! My 3.5-year journey to get a bachelor's degree is coming to an end in a couple of months

I will be moving on to the next phase of my life and wanted to drop some helpful tips for anyone who may be interested. I have read how stringent the German embassy has become in trying to curb the number of students leaving for Germany but I think I may be able to give some helpful tips.

I will be done with my bachelor's degree in a couple of months and will be starting a dual-master program later in the year. The university is a private university so tuition fees must be paid. However, it will be a job-integrated program which means that you will also work and be paid for the entire duration of the program. The company is obliged to pay you a salary and also pay about 80% of the tuition fees and you will only have to pay a small amount to balance it which can be taken from the salary you earn.

This could be useful in bumping you from a Category B to Category A because the amount that is paid to you will be given to you in form of a scholarship and you can present that to the embassy. The university does not follow the regular German rules for grading and admission so no Uni-assist needed, no minimum GPA, no English test, and many others. However, note that what the university absolutely requires is some form of previous work experience prior to applying. If you have no work experience, I strongly do not recommend you applying because I am highly certain you will be rejected. I got in because I have been in working student positions since I arrived in Germany 3 years ago, but I do not think you need a lot of work experience to qualify. Also, note that they have a rigorous admission process and make sure they admit only the top 20% of applicants.

If you pass the interview process, you will then be admitted to their talent pool where they have many job offers from various companies in various fields that you can apply for. Once you apply and are interviewed by the prospective company and then offered a position, then you can use that to apply for a visa, stating that you have a scholarship. Also note that most positions advertised require German but you could be lucky to see job positions that do not require German like I got.

They have an International Management program and a double degree for a master's/MBA (which is what I applied for and was admitted).
