Thanks sir, I can't leave my career for a woman. Only a fool will do such especially a rewarding and a demanding career like neurosurgery or other surgical specialty, my specialty is the hardest to get into any where in the world, my hospital accept two neurosurgical residents each year to know how hard it is, what I just need is companionship and I'll do as you say. Thanks sir

So because I'm in Tech, some knowledge of IT is required for my current role. However there are several remote roles that that do not require programming knowledge (although to be honest programming roles pay way more than many others). Your sister can consider working as a Virtual assistant, which is basically like a PA role where she can manage things like her employer's calendar (meetings, appointments, Phone calls etc). These pay about $5-$7 per hour for US roles. She'd need some knowledge using basic computer software like Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. These Virtual Assistants (VA for short) often don't need to have a university degree. They need to be super organised, good at time management, excellent communication skills (written and spoken)

Thank you very much

airsaylongcome:
Don't let your accent deter you although I'm going to be honest that it could. I work in a Customer facing tech role for a US company and get to speak with Americans daily. I was chosen to take that role because the other European and South American colleagues had a "difficult" accent. It's not easy though as some of those Yankee people start thinking of you as a dumbo when they hear an accent. Some say they want to speak with an American straight up. In those cases, I escalate to my American colleagues and give them the back story so they know where to start.

It can also go the other way. You will think you understand American accent until you hear real life Southern US drawl. I swear you no go hear jack. I didn't know when I said "ehn" one time to a client because the accent senior me by far

But there has been some wins sha. I spoke with an American new mum. Her baby was all over her on the background and she was apologising furiously. Told her to put the kid on video and I was making faces for her until she started laughing uncontrollably. I was eventually able to fix the mother's issue. Would you believe she went to my boss to say she just had a wonderful treatment from me and that she would like me to be permanently assigned to her for subsequent engagements. I shock

Hi Airsay!

What are the requirements for these customer facing roles?

Is an Intermediate experience of a programming knowledge needed?

Does it require a Bsc degree?

I need my sis to get one of those roles. She's an undergraduate and the Assu strike...

sorry to ask, I just want to be sure of what you're saying, is it account opening application or account upgrade application, because when I opened my account with standard chartered, my account opening application was processed the following day, but when I tried to upgrade it, it took 3weeks plus before the application was rejected because of unclear documents that I uploaded I just replied again hoping it would work this time around

At what point did you request for a card?

Is it the Instant savings account? Or the regular savings account

qtguru:
Yes he can you should do this following:

1. Create a new email address not associated with any PayPal to this
2. Let him register with his phone number and address and send him the email
3. When you verify, the code will be sent to his number
4. Install the PayPal, log into PayPal on the browser it will tell you to chose an authorization method, choose the app
5. In the App confirm Web Authorization and from there on, only use the app

Normally you can attach PayPal to a bank so you can withdraw to it, but only use the PayPal Wallet and be selling to people who buy PayPal funds.

All the best

Omg!

You are so sweet.

Thank you!

qtguru:
Send us address so we can come to your house and view the file.

Hi qtguru

I want to relocate to uyo with my family, we are both software engineers and we need a place that have constant Electricity, so we can work efficiently. Please what areas or estates have constant Electricity in Akwa ibom or uyo. Please I would kindly appreciate your inputs. Thanks guys

That state and darkness is like 5 &6

They've got cheap transportation, good roads but Light? Nah.

People will tell you, Move to Ewet housing, move to Shelter Afrique blah blah blah.

Still same thing.

Nothing like constant light In that state.

The only place I've been to with like 12hrs light is Onitsha But the bad roads, mentality, no fun places etc.

When it comes to matters of intellect you won't see any lady on this section, because they don't strive to make it.

I think clients these days are skeptical in handling out projects, because of the notion that they can get everything for free from the internet. Some of them would post jobs on upwork only waiting for a free ride.

Oga, make your comments and leave women Alone!

I'm a lady and I know aloooot of women in tech/Web3 they just aren't active on Nairaland.

I've lost jobs because of Nigerian reputation. Freelancers goal in Nigeria is to jump on a freelance visa and work outside the country or outside Lagos and enjoy your money. Those are the options for us

Did a few Research, and I am hearing that union bank has the lowest rate so Far

Has anyone paid with union card on AE recently or several times?
What's the rate/$

Hello GreaterFuture6

Please do you know the dollar rate for Union Bank?

Premiumwriter:
It's very easy actually.

You need to have a USB stick (USB drive). It should be 4gb minimum.

There are many different types of Linux. These are called Distributions or Distros for short.

As a new user, I'd recommend you go for kubuntu or zorin or Linux mint.

The above Distros are very close to windows in look and will work as normal after installation. I'd recommend kubuntu as your first choice, it's quite stable.

Anyways, which ever Distros you Decided to chose, download it to your system (this will be tricky since you don't have an os on your system, it's best you get windows on it first or borrow a laptop to download it).

After downloading the os, install a bootable disk maker.

I'd recommend balena etcher, it's easy and straightforward.

Download and install balena etcher on the system you are using.

Now plug in your USB drive and open the balena app.

Click on 'flash from file', choose the iso file, select target location which will be your USB and then click on flash.

It'll take some time to flash.

After flashing, remove the disk and plug it in your system.

It'll boot from the USB drive and you can try the Linux app or choose install and it'll be installed.

You really are a premium writer..
Thank you for this.

Thank you

Deicide:
Go do research na shebi you wan be Linux user.

Lol
You mean

Deicide:
You also have to consider GPT and MBR.... BIOS and UEFI

What are those E gba mi

The5DME:
I won't advice you to use Linux(any of the distros), if you're new to it.

Why please

qtguru:
Download Linux.iso , ensure to have a USB Drive and also another tool called Rufus on Windows, once the iso downloads then you can make a bootable USB Drive, oce the drive is plugged, it will self-boot into the setup and you can just install, what is the spec of the system ?

Thank you very much.
