Look, my friend. I've checked, and really there are only 3 or 4 full-fledged public universities in Ghana. I'm not referring to those new mushroom polythecnic equivalents catering to one discipline alone (eg ''university of health sciences'' etc). I mean full universities. They are not more than 3 or 4 max in Ghana. Let's leave it at that ok?

We attended the 2015 IYF(International Youth Fellowship) World Youth Camp in Unversity of Ghana, Legon Ghana. We arrived late at night thus we were given temporary accomdation for that night pending registration the next day. However, we were taken to Elizabeth Francise Hall(hostel) where we were given a room.

At first, i thought it was the usual Nigerian public Universities with dilapidated structures; Dirty and flooded bathroom with no functional water tap, rooms without foams, no table and chairs, no fan, dirty walls, dirty floor, e.t.c.

But we got the ultimate suprises of our life, behold the rooms we were given was well painted white paint i repeat sparkling spotless white paint, two bunk beds with school made foams, four tables and chairs obviously for four students, well designed wardrope for each students, a toilet and bathroom with water runing through the taps, a ceiling fan, tiled floors, fire alarm, private balcony to spread your clothes e.t.c almost or equivalent to what i saw in one Busan University in South Korea when i attended 2014 IYF World Youth Camp in Busan.

Chai!! I don die, see Ghana Ghana wey no get oyel pass us, we no get pass us, infact, holistically we stand a better chance than Ghana but they come get better facilities pass us. Ghanians i beg make una understand. no offence.

No wonder foreigner students full the University.

The next day we register and were given rooms in ISHI(International Students Hostel), the setting is different from the previous hostel. It has two beds with the school made foams, two designed wardropes, two tables and chairs, a ceiling fan, fire alarm, balcony to relax and spread cloth, well tiled floors e.t.c. the bathroom and toilet are not in the rooms this time around but they are very clean with runing water. They have kitchens with refregerators and one other room.

Let me cut the story short. University of Ghana is far far far.....better than all our Public and some private Universities in Nigeria in terms of beauty, maintianance culture, facilities e.c.t

I was told that the school is autonomos, and they always renovates all the structures and facilities at the end of every session.

This story is not completely true. In Swaziland & parts of South Africa they do virginity testing. IT IS NOT COMPULSORY. Those that take part in it, do so on their own accord.

King Muswati DOES NOT choose a wife from the little children, he chooses from the older girls & to my understanding, the girls have a say. They can say, no.

Btw, even his daughters take part in the ceremony. It is called Reed Dance or uMhlanga. The history behind it is that, in the past, they used to send virgin girls to go pick up the reed that would be used to build the palace's cattle kraal. I don't know how it is in West Africa, but in the SADC, the kraal is the most important part of a homestead. It should be pure (women aren't allowed in the kraal) because that's where most family rituals are done, so I guess that's why virgins were allocated the task of picking up the building material. Now times are different, however,not every girl that claims to be a virgin is a virgin, like in the olden days, that's when the testing comes in, just to make sure they're still "pure" before carrying such an important royal task. It has now become part of their lifestyle to remain virgins because they want to be part of the celebrations & of course some have the hope of being the King's next bride. They're there to peacock for him--some & some are just there for the ceremony because it is considered an honour to be part of that.

Anyway, the 1st pic is king muswati's own daughter. She also takes part in the reed dance. The 2nd pic is of the girls, the potential brides to be aka palace's virgin reed pickers. 3rd pic is an example of a kraal.

I don't just understand whether people of today hate researching to confirm what they see or hear or just intentionally allow to be deceived since the falsehood is not about their country. Looking at the pictures the O P posted, they clearly show the girls are been mutilated
