Great article. I was just discussing the implication of this with my director yesterday. We have a lot of USD payments (rent etc) and we also receive the bulk of our income in USD. We are really unsure at this point on how to proceed. However most of our vendors will flatly refuse NGN payment or ask us to use an exorbitant rate for the exchange.

CBN had better come out and clarify this. I understand they are trying to protect the naira but they should be clear and enforce this also after providing clarity.

@ agbo4me. This can be arranged but rent has to be for one year. I have my doubts if a landlord will agree to take a six months rent for his house. Even the one year is not so easily available. Call me on 08032001281 if you are game.

The bible says the god of this age has blinded the eyes of men. I see it even in posts here. The person that started this post just wants to raise dust. If he had really wanted to know he should have asked his pastor (if he has one) and gotten a bible based reply rather than trying to ridicule a great man of God. Unbelief is not new and men will always have 'proof' to support their unbelief. I think she deserves to know, especially now that the woman is pregnant. Your cuz will eventually find out. Could be years but she will. Will you be able to look her in the eye 10 years from now and tell her you knew. I don't think so. The how to tell her is the big issue.

All, take a look at Acts 5:1-5. Ananias sold a piece of land and brought the money to the church. His sin was that he lied in it. He did not give willingly like I wrote before. If you look at Acts 4 you will see that people were selling their possessions and bringing to the church. People were selling land and sowing to the work of God and you are talking about cheques like it is a big deal.  The underlining factor is, whatever you want to give, give willingly and not by some sort of emotioanl force. Whatever you give God cannot be too much. He gave you life for crying out loud. he gave us His son!

Cheques? Ha. What's the big deal about that? Jesus referred to the widow's might who is the woman that gave ALL she had and He did not call her 'mugu'. Jesus was sad over a certain rich man when he asked him to give all he had to the poor and the man would not.

The word of God is real. Do not be deceived.

But I am not suprised. Christ warned us already that there would be plenty of fakes in the last days(mat 24:11,Mark 13:22,2Pet 2:1, ). Guys do not be so quick to judge the girl. I've seen very 'sane' people make 'insane' decisions under pressure. You cannot imagine what her life has been like, the poverty, parental control and all. I'm sure her rxposure level will be very low. I would suggest getting someone the parents can listen to if there is (rich relative, pastor, ) But anyhow she has to get out. That was no marriage. That was a grand deception.
