Good morning fam, pls how do i go about a rider that claimed he made a transfer to me but it’s 3 days now i have not been credited. I have called him to explain the situation but he said he can’t do 2 transfers claiming he has done it hence he is not going to do it again. I reached out to bolt about the situation and bolt said they have blocked him until he pays before they will unblock him. So early this morning i saw his chat that i reported him to bolt so therefore there is nothing he is going to do. I told him wen he pays they will unblock him. The funny part is i try to be civil in my conversation with him but the guy is very callous. The trip is from inside festac to ikeja, #4800. This is the first time since a year am in this work but never experienced it. Experience drivers can advice pls.

Ajah, Abijo, sangotedo are some very dangerous places to pick requests ay night. i'll rather blow empty back to lekki axis.
At around 9pm around jan i picked up some 3 hagard looking guys at sangotedo. I called and they told me they were going to chevron and that they were waiting by the road side.
I already sensed danger but i picked them. During d ride they started arguing and d one beside me was threatening to stab d one at the back for forggeting smtin back home. I already sensed danger.
They told me to reverse and fo back to sangotedo when i was already at abraham adesanya.
I just pretended like my car had issues. They all got down and i zoomed off.

You did the right thing boss.. It shouldn't always be about the money.

I had one experience last year December. Was still a new driver on Uber then. Around 10pm, this request beeps and i accepted, called rider; said he's going to Lekki or Sangotedo area. In about 5mins, I arrived at PU(Ilaje in Bariga).
Two men and a woman came out with some light loads and was asked to oo3n my trunk.
But I alighted from the car before opening my boot in order to quickly peruse what they are putting in my trunk.
Hmn, i was a broom, wooden box for seating, cutlass and some other stuffs in a sack.
My heart beat immediately accelerated to about 250 counts per minute. I didn't outrightly cancel the trip cos the street self was so deserted.
So i started the trip and on getting to a third street which was still active, i switched off my engine and pretended there was a fault. I ended the trip there. They were somehow disturbed but do i care!!!
They moved away from me and I think they were making another request but me just zoom off.

You even started the trip .
One thing that always worked for me in this hustle is my instinct; I never go against it.

My neighbor picked me up today, always had d feeling he's a Uber driver based on the way he leaves early and comes back late.

But wat surprised me was he said assuming he knew it was me, he would've declined That he doesn't even accept trips from or to our estate (probably he doesn't want anyone to know he's an Uber driver).

I don’t know why some people do it though. The only reason I don’t take request inside my estate is because of the bad roads other than that, I have no issue with it.

All my neighbors know that that’s what I do, even though I didn’t open my mouth to tell them..there was a day I was reversing out of the compound and one of them rushed to meet me and said she wants to see me. I said okay, hope all is well?

Another time, I had closed for the day, destination to ‘HOME’, I was buying fuel at Ilaje Northwest when a request came in. Accepted and rider called immediately, he was at the other side of the road we reached an agreement for him to crossover to the filling station, when baba entered the car Na my immediate neighbor I see.

Dude was a former driver too, his current job now he got it while on the platform.

Tell me; has it not happened to you before that a rider book you from say GIGM Ajah and destination is somewhere on the mainland, getting to Agungi side, rider decided to abort the trip and on ending it you get 1200. Would you say there’s an error in that pricing? Bear in mind that GIGM Ajah to anywhere on the mainland won’t be less than 4K.

I beg to disagree with you. You get paid for every distance covered on Bolt. Even after arriving at your riders destination, should rider have you go further than the preset destination it will count and your money will not short a cent.
