InfinityEstates: Sorry Boss, I didn't know it rained last night too till I drove out this morning. But my area never bad reach your side...
Meanwhile guys, here's my challenge. So my car engine (COROLLA 2006) got too bad about last month and I opted for changing it as against "ringing". Finally gathered the money to buy it this week.
However, one of my major challenges then apart from the 'usual' oil shortening, smoking and noise it was making was that if the car is parked anything more than 30minutes, I can't just start the car and drive away immediately. Once I start the car, it starts JERKING slightly after about 30seconds, then after like 5minutes it 'BALANCES' then I can drive away. If I try loading before the 5minutes elapses or before it balances, the car goes off and then I start the process again.
The thing is, I thought if the engine is changed the issue would be resolved but I thought wrong. The issue still persists, minus the noise and smoking. They tried scanning but the codes coming were P0016, 0300, 0310 (can't remember exactly).
Please if there's anyone with experience handling this, kindly assist.
CC: radautoworks gazzuzz izzou pope191 et. al... Any heads up with this issue bro? |

Guys avoid Thera Annex as much as you can. The water around that axis is much, if I knew that it rained overnight I would not drive today. Imagine that water removed my front grill while I was driving out around 5am. I did not see my neighbors car in the compound this morning when I was leaving, I thought baba went to club, only to see the car sitting elegant inside the water on the way out. Tokunbo 2010 Camry wey never reach one month that he bought it. If you like your car, avoid that area....anything OGOMBO! |

Morray: Goodmorning Kings. I'm about to negotiate for a car (Toyota corolla) on HP for uber. Owner's asking price is 3.2 with remittance of 30k on weekly basis. I'm new to this Uber industry that is why I humbly succor your inputs as I embark on this terrain. Please here are few concerns I'd love to highlight:
Is 3.2 on the high or a bargain considering how hard the country looks currently?
Is 30k remittance weekly achievable? If yes, will I have some change left to take care of some basic needs?
Would you advice I leave my tailoring work where I make an average of 6-8k weekly for Uber on the conditions listed in 1&2(though the price is subject to negotiation)? Bros stick with your tailoring job. This hustle will test you on all grounds, a time will come that you will feel like giving up. Are you going to make a down payment? If you have a means of getting loan without an overbearing interest rate, gather your money and look for a good car within 500-600k and do the hustle at your conveniency. There’s nothing wrong with you been new to the industry, as long as your driving is good and you are very smart, you should be fine. All the best! |

Otunbalai: Good day guys..
Please, I just got a toyota camry (big daddy) 2004 for this business and many people are advising I remove the thermostat to avoid the car doing over heating during hustle. Kindly note, I'm new to car usage, this is my first car actually....kindly advice .... Dont do it. Likely things they will tell you to do: 1. Remove thermostats 2. Connect cooling fans direct 3. Change to double cell radiator 4. Coolant is not necessary (pour water) If it’s not broken, don’t fix it. By the way READ, go online and read about your car. Study your car and understand it. |

toomush: It seems you did a lot of swimming recently. No bro. Swimming won’t affect engine seats nah...I’ve been managing the car with bad seatings like that since late July, the vibration was mild and can only be felt on the steering, I drove aggressively on Sunday, na him kuku spoil everything. Suspension works that I thought I would be doing next sef is nothing to worry about, the annoying noise coming from the wheel area that I thought is suspension related is not. The bad engine seat caused all the vibrations and plenty sounds. Driving away from Oyingbo, car runs really smooth and bouncing out of potholes. I felt relieved, drive home was fun. |

*SCRAPE OFF BADGES AND TAGS*
*GREAT E-HAILING PILOTS Let's stand to say no to badges and tags*
*The issue of badges and tags is still in the table of Mr Governor, as professional e-hailing drivers and Private-owners Association (PEDPA) already send out letters to the Governor and the commissioner asking for a total removal of both documents from our needed documents*
*✍It's important we all agree with PEDPA by abstaining from collecting the document*
*WE STAND ON THE INITIAL AGREEMENT THAT IT SHOULD BE GIVEN TO APP COYS AFTER PAYING THEIR LICENSES, IF GOVERNMENT CAN'T IMPLEMENT THAT, THEN THE DOCUMENT SHOULD BE REMOVED FROM E-HAILING COMPLETELY❗❗❗*
*LET'S SPEND THESE EARLY PARTS OF THE 90DAYS WINDOW FIHTING FOR OUR RIGHT, WHATEVER THE OUTCOME, WE CAN'T LOOSE MORE♂️♂️♂️*
*WE ALSO USE THE OPPORTUNITY TO REMIND THE GOVERNOR ON THE NEED FOR ALL ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS NOT TO HARASS OUR MEMBERS UNTIL 90DAYS WINDOW EXPIRES*
*We are very hopeful and trust that his Exellency Governor sanwo-olu will be magnanimous to stay by his word and the agreement of the 14th August, 2020 and grant our prayers very soon.*
*We want to appeal to all e-hailing drivers community again! To desist from going to acquiring both drivers badge and vehicle tag personally until we get reply from Mr Governor on our prayer for srapping off these documents or compel the app companies to take responsibility and PEDPA is going to issue directive to this effect, we should also bear in our mind that 90days window for all documentation will end on 27th November, 2020 so there is no cause for alerm as PEDPA will resist every attempt by any government agency to exhort or intimidate our drivers, we also advise every e-hailing drivers that your other car documents and drivers liecences are up-to-date to avoid lawful arrest.*
*We have also written letter to all app companies for discussion on proper partnership, operating guidelines and workable relationship between drivers and ride hailing firms that is seeking e-hailing drivers service on her platform and we are also awaiting their response*
*In unity&boldness we can fight, App companies & government can't beat our one voice*
*... UNITED WE ARE STRONGER* |

northbird: @ babadee, I thought they said d governor has cancelled the vehicle tag since hackney permit is also required.
Someone mentioned an official from the MOT said this on a radio program.
Baba Abeg update us. Boss I’m equally surprised to see that some people have gone ahead to process theirs. I think the problem here is communication or over sabi on some drivers part. Though Bolt still has it as one of the requirements but the red xx sign that indicates it as compulsory before has been removed, now optional. This Pedpa people or whatever they call themselves are not helping matters, they are just using the whole thing to promote their mykab app. Ordinary lasdri I never collect, na driver badge I go come collect See the route tag sef make govt just say you have to paste it on your car |
