PoliticsRe: Nigeria External Debt Forgiveness: Where Do We Go From Here? by babagana(m): 8:53am On Dec 20, 2005
D'yu kno somethin? People are still very much suspicious of the whole thing I presume and people do not understand in plain language what the debt forgiveness is all about and what price we have to pay at long run. And everybody knows that the Europeans and the Americans are the last people to be altruistic in anyhing.

Personally there is more to it than meets the eye.

this topic has caught my attention but I had nothing to say or comment because I don't know were we are heading in virtually everything we do in this country. therefore I felt my comment might be meaningless here. But something that is happening to the topic quickly made to realise that this topic has been left unattended to probably because a lot of a Nigerians are aslo in the dark just like I am. Therfore no one will say a word, and if that is the extent to which Nigerians are left confused and in the dark on matters relating vividly to theiir future and that of their children then it is a pity.......

HERE IS PRAYER FOR THE SUPRESSED.

May the Impartial Arbiter,
The Protector of the weak,
The Provider for the deprived,
The Avenger for the dispossessed,
The Guide to the orphan,
protect us from the wielders of the storm of hypocrisy.
Amen!!!!!!!

From all indications, guys love approachable girls.

14 guys have obviously said they want the easy approachable girls. So ermm.. sisters, ease off the gas oo.
HOT_ANGEL I really think you're an angel, realistic, down to earth kind of person, objective and straight to point. i wont say so. the nigerian police force and indeed our military are highly skilled and very professional though poorly paid. If you are referring to the few bad eggs which do not amount to 5% then you are being unfair.
Otokx, are you in this country at all? Did you say 5%? pleeeeeeease!!!!!! 5% at every check point is enough to say its too bad not just a few bad eggs. And don't bring the rest of the Military into this. The situation is terrible!!!!!!!!

I wonder if you guys have taken the time out to look at the oppinion poll on this issue you'd clearly see how a lot of people think. I don't know if thats the oppinion of guys only but it seems more people prefer simple and approachable babes, may be even the girls do prefer to be simple and approachable.

Its not just to play hard to get, sometimes ladies take pleasure in humiliating guys just for the fun of it, or just to show how HOT they are. This I believe is what most guys call hard to get. Simply, "sorry cant go out with you" can be said in a polite and civilised manner and the first time too. But NO the HOT headed would rather prefer to tell the world that I have just dicthed another and start a head count how many have asked her out today.
RomanceRe: Men: Simple Approachable Lady or a Hard-to-Get? by babagana(op): 4:26pm On Dec 16, 2005
.
Seun:
I hate it when ladies play hard to get because:
1) At the end of the day, after finally 'getting' her, I might discover that she's not my type. In that case the 'hard to get' game would merely have been a waste of my time (and hers too).
2) The 'hard to get' game is a game of deception, so a lady that plays hard to get is a 'playa' of sorts. If she is already playing me so early into our acquaintanceship, how do I know that she won't be playing me for the rest of my life if I go ahead and have a relationship with her leading to marriage? How do I know that she won't also play the cheating game on me?

So I like approachable ladies, and I am bitterly opposed to the idea of young women playing hard-to-get. It doesn't help anybody because you end up with the most desperate man and not necessarily the one that is right for you.
Seun this is true but you know some men treasure better what they have worked hard to earn, besides the ladies will have their general profile uplifted and be more respected if they are not easily....... you know.

NOTE: can you please change the topic category and send it to "romance"? It seem thats where it should be

On a more serious note, the Nigerian Police Force is a reflection
on how far corruption has eaten into the society.
lets face it, Nigeria is not the only country whose police force is
corrupt basically due to low salary infact that is the major reason
why the U.S.A police force is influenced by
the crime lords to an extent.

In nigeria our policemen/women are underpaid
with no health plans for their family and themselves
and the retirement benefit is a joke! and when
a low rack officer dies in the line of duty...

his family is paid =N=30,000( as at two years ago) {although TAFA tried to change that(the man be try for the force oh) }
so tell me why the same man should not take bribe?
their barracks is a den for deseases and a hid out for germs.

The Force is just corrupt like the rest of Nigeria.
You know something, you are really spicy and hot. This is one of the most sensible quote of the topic! please these are issues that are biting deep into the fabrics of our nation and we need to discuss them at forums like these.TRUE TALK, TRUE TALK!

Who Would You Rather Deal With? A Simple Approachable Lady or a Hard to Get

Ladies think playing hard to get makes them have some respect when it comes to men. True talk but relative. Same goes to the men: they treasure what they battled to get. This too true, but very relative.

For instance some ladies think it's always better to play hard to get but eventually the man gives up after trying the first time, the ladies finally loose the guys they really like to date. Then they respond by saying well "he doesn't deserve me if he can't try harder".

Meanwhile men also think "what if I talk to her and she embarrasses me? afterall she is putting up a firm face." And they end up not uttering a word, then they loose a precious love.

the Police Force should be scrapped without further delay. They make things worse for Nigerians through their regular accidental discharge, misrepresentation, bribery on our roads, prostitution (largest patronizer of sex workers), bad drinking habit, etc.

i just hate the social menace called Nigeria Police Force.

I don't know if responding to Seun on your behalf was a good idea, becos you know what, he picked the last topic I sent in on Police and said he does not like it hence he is removing it. Well I am not taking it personal I think he is doing his job as a moderator. But then one thing came to my mind there are lots of topics that have been there for more than a month without receiving a single response yet they remained there. But mine was there for just two days and he described it as "difficult to redeem", yet it recieved at least a response or two in its two days of appearance.

Well Seun one bad apple wont spoil the whole bunch, you are doing a good job guy and we love it here but can you try not being very unilateral in you decisions in view of the fact that your site is meant for people to participate freely?

Again I hope you are not removing my topic for the above reason ko? huh huh huh huh huh

A guy wakes up prepares to go fishing, hops in his car and drove off. Realizing a bad weather, changed his mind and drove back home; undressed and quietly cuddled behind his wife and said" D weather out there is terrible". In a sleepy vioce she replied:"Can you believe my stupid husband is out fishing in that Shit?"

RomanceRe: Why Nigerian Ladies Feel Shy to Make the First Move? by babagana(m): 3:28pm On Dec 14, 2005
Banderas:
Unfortunate, but the average Nigeria boy is quite immature emotionally, as well as being old fashioned (goes for Nigeria babes as well). So most Nigeria guys can't handle being asked out, and most Nigeria babes still beleive it's the man's responsibility.
Oh come on now banderas what d'yu think of guys in Naija here. I think you're not in touch with this country. this has nothing to do with emotional immaturity. Its more of sexes and tradition. Its simply not a ladies job its believed to ask guys out. Its more to do with tradition and societal expectation of poeple here. I cannot speak for the ladies but I do think they do not see it as there role to play the "spinner". Give us a break pls and not unders-etimate our maturity level. May be you guys there go to the moon to date and we date in our rotunda mud houses but we cannot be denied having a more stable emotional maturity.

When coming to Nigeria, I will not drive myself. Even though I consider myself a reasonably good driver, I fear my instincts and habits would work against me on Nigerian roads.
Well you better don't, because a route you have plied a day before can simply transform in to a death trap the next day. You know something, you may not find a pothole or ditch there but a massive tree trunk placed by the police in the name of check point making you drive as though you are making two U turns in opposite directions and finally going straight.

Worse still the Police will stand at different points with fully loaded automatic Rifles asking to pull over while agressively indicating to you they are ready for a kill for even blinking your eyes. No wonder foreign investment inflow is so low into this country.

Usually the first person to disagree with the fact that affluence is a determining factor will definately be a female despite knowing this is a fact. Don't get me wrong I am not a male Chauvinist. One can list the guys that have had the experince of ladies making the first move within his/her area and are in most cases loaded. Even during my school days that I had a similar experience my good friends were from the rich and famous so I was tagged one though I was far from being one. I think I agree with you guys just as in the Scar Face movie, get the dough first then the ladies will follow.
