Rikidony: As the war against Boko Haram rages on, the Defence Headquarters (DHQ) has said it is recording great results in its current battle to wipe out the insurgents, especially in Sambisa Forest and Gwoza in Bo According to the Nigerian Watch, military authorities claim to have killed over 600 Boko Haram fighters in a concerted attack on their base in Sambisa Forest. The Nigerian Air Force bombed the terrorists while ground troops launched a land offensive. Targeted at Boko Haram’s training camps and logistics facilities in Sambisa Forest, the strikes targeted the town of Gwoza where the terrorists have a base. Reportedly, 615 insurgents have being killed during the operation. According to military sources, hundreds of other fighters have fled into the surrounding countryside as a result of the assault, while large caches of equipment were recovered. The DHQ in a statement confirmed the incident, saying that a lot of terrorists have died in a coordinated air campaign by security operatives, while many others were fleeing in the forest. The statement reads: “A concerted air campaign by the Nigerian Air Force is ongoing in furtherance of the mission to clear terrorists from all their enclaves. rno state. “The air strikes which today targeted the training camps and logistics dumps of the terrorists in Sambisa forests and parts of Gwoza have been highly successful as it achieved the aims with required precision. “The death of a large number of terrorists has been recorded while many others are also scampering all over the forest and out of the struck bases. Details of casualty will be determined in subsequent phases of the operation. “Meanwhile, the strikes continue in other locations of the theatre heralding the advance of troops and other elements of the mission.” It is widely suspected that the Sambisa Forest, located not far from the Borno state capital, is the home for Boko Haram insurgents. About two weeks ago reports surfaced that Nigerian troops had finally invaded the insurgents’ notorious hideout in the forest as a part of actions to suppress the terrorists. http://www.naij.com/388424-nigerian-air-force-kills-boko-haram-men-in-sambisa.html If all dis una figure of victories over Bokoharam correct, dem suppose don dey experience cholera outbreak for dat region |

Jonathan docile ways of life has nothing to do with his clueless name. He is a clueless president because he is always lost of words and don't always know correct response to questions/interviews by both local and international news media. Also, whatever he says, there is a likeable of an error. He is not always on top of situations. Don't misconstrue impunity with clueless |

Politics › Re: POLLS: 6m OPC Members Will Vote For Jonathan –Gani Adams by BabaO2: 9:05am On Feb 23, 2015 |
AKPOSbaba: NATIONAL Co-ordinator of the Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC), Otunba Gani Adams, yesterday, said that six million members of the group have resolved to vote for President Goodluck Jonathan at the March 28 presidential polls.
He said OPC members took the decision at their National Co-ordinating Council meeting after taking time to assess President Goodluck Jonathan of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Major Gen Muhammadu Buhari (retd) of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
He made the disclosure at his Lagos residence while hosting Special Adviser to President Jonathan on Niger Delta Affairs, Hon Kingsley Kuku, who came to solicit his and OPC’s support for Jonathan’s re-election. Adams said OPC is rooting for Jonathan because of his human rights records in not arresting or detaining any activist since he came to power, convocation of national conference and promise to implement the 633 recommendations that will help to restructure the country, which he said is in the interest of the Yoruba and South-west.
He said: ‘’OPC is a group of six million people. We sat down at our National Co-ordinating Council to decide on who to vote for between President Jonathan and Buhari and the support for Jonathan is unanimous.”
”Now, we have come out to support Jonathan because of the National Conference. We have been clamouring for National Conference since 1992, even our leaders could not organise it. President Olusegun Obasanjo organised the National Political Reforms Conference with a lot of no-go areas. In the end there was a stalemate. ”Now a minority, Jonathan, did it. The only no-go area is the unity of the country. He gave us open cheque to decide the future of Nigeria.”
http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/02/polls-6m-opc-membersll-vote-for-jonathan-adams/ Liar, business man, kuku came to dangle pipeline protection contract if you can coerce your tribe to vote Jonathan. All OPc in my area are for Buhari. Shame on you adams babawo kekere |

ziccoit: Fayose is not the problem but the society that produced him as a leader. There are about four essence of leadership, Fayose does not possess any of them. Our situation as a people of Nigerian nation becomes pathetic when you consider the state that produced Fayose as a leader. Ekiti state is popular for its erudition, a state with the highest number of professors and doctorate degree holders. Can we now say education doesn't always bring the best judgement out of people? Certainly, Fayose is yet another mistake in the political history of my dear nation. He has persistently demonstrated how he shouldn't be in a forum where leadership is being discussed not to mention being a leader. If you don't think my country is a failed nation; ponder on the picture below. Good writeup, but with available information in public dormain after the election, Fayose robbed people of ekiti state at gun point. Some of his identified about 200000 were allowed to vote for him, but people of ekiti were not allowed to vote on that day for the candidate of their choice. |

echarlz: It is no longer news that OBJ's third term agenda was real. He never denied it. He only said he didn't initiate it. Do people still say GEJ pushed the election? Only one body could do that and it was INEC-an independent body which did due to its unpreparedness and the unfavourable security report. I think GEJ is seen as a weakling.if he has been exercising his powers with impunity as many claim, he won't be so tagged. Rather he's accused more of inaction or slow response. I'm sure you know that OBJ's major grouse with GEJ and PDP is the prominence of place of his sworn enemy Buruji Kashamu in the party. All other ssues he raised were just add-ons to divert attention to his personal interest in it all.. People are applauding OBJ because he has joined the crowd echoing the APC slogan. For that alone, his sins have been forgiven as was done for Bukola Saraki, Oyinlola, Segun Oni, Amechi, Gemade and other self-serving politicians who Odumakin and his group chose to be different from by working for the common good Jonathan is regarded weakling, daft, clueless because he is always lost of answers and confidence to both local and international news media not because he was not acting with impunity. Also his postures and carriage is not always natural, it is like someone that is failing carriage training instructions. |

echarlz: What moral right has Obasanjo to extract a single-term committment from any political leader? Did OBJ not reneged on his own single term deal with the north and even pushed for a third term after the consitutional two terms? Tell me a an elected leader who kept the single-term promise. Truth is all politicians speak from both sides of the mouth. This same act U people are quick to demonise GEJ for is characteristic of all politicians. Ceaseless brainwashing via APC-sponsored propaganda wouldn't allow many to view issues objectively. The ills which confront our nation today are not about a political party but a greedy and inept political leadership. People should start addressing real issues and stop attacking individuals who hold political views and convictions different from theirs Postponement of election made me believed that Obasanjo never pushed for 3rd term, ask urself if Jonathan could push election certain to lose with impunity what could have stopped Obasanjo to have 3rd term with the same impunity ? Sincerity is the soul of business, Jonathan never aspired to be president of Nigeria, but to satisfy constitution he was confirmed president after the death of yaradua a northern slot, to compensate Jonathan again OBJ rose against northners even despite it was their turn/slot to rule. OBJ pacified them, Jonathan will spend only a term. So what is moral justification for Jonathan and his beneficiaries to reneged that promise?. I can feel Obasanjo with shameful, unfaithful and untrustful character of mediocre Jonathan |

Obas are mearnt to be wise and incorruptible people in Yoruba land, enough of polluting jonathan daftness in our region and even religion christianity. Jonathan can not be trusted, why are some self seeking folks like mimiko, fayose etc polluting our region with lies and backwardness? Jonathan told OBJ/PDP he will do 4 years, he reneged Jonathan promised stable power within 4 years, he reneged All what jonathan promised when he was sympathetically looking for votes in 2011, nothing he has fulfilled. Few Yoruba people fooling themselves that they are supporting 'jonadown' because of the implementation of CONFAB, have they asked themselves that if Jonathan can deceive OBJ, who are they and what is even National confab for jonathan not to trash in the bin at the instruction of Edwin Clark. It is now clear, the game plan of election postponement by mimiko and jonathan is to win by hook and crook and crude way. |
