Timipre never touched that money. There is a report reaching us that a very big rat is living in the courthouse. So the case has to be withdrawn pending when we have a way of catching the rat. Don't forget this is new system, so we have employed new methods to solving issues as such.

RomanceRe: He Was Angry With His Brother Because Of His Fiancee's Unwashed Plates by BabaOneChance: 9:52pm On May 25, 2015

Bros I personally make it a point of duty to cook for my first time visiting girlfriends. It usually drives home the point of what is expected.

First time even tenth time, as long as she is still in girlfriend zone, my kitchen is a no no for her.

The fastest way to a man's heart is through his stomach grin grin grin I nor dey play rough play reach there.

My problem is that the lady is no longer the typical visitor, she is now a familiar spirit cheesy cheesy cheesy
She should be free to do some chores around the house she plans on living after marriage. Abi the 'fiancee' na just for mouth?

Let me give you another story. I had this friend who was living in the elder brothers house after graduation, and he really enjoys cooking.
The elder brothers fiancee would come and he would cook, while she would be in the room playing romance with the brother.

Now food is ready, she comes out and serves herself and this very humble fellow clears the kitchen.

She didnt see anything wrong with it, even the elder brother didnt see anything wrong with it. He was an easy going person so he felt maybe it's because she was still a fiancee/visitor cos she usually comes from Lagos.

When they eventually got married, that was when this lady really showed this guy her true color. She would buy things from the market and be waiting for this guy to prepare the meals. Now my friend started getting angry, but it was already too late, the lady had been given the impression that he was okay with the arrangement. When he tried to point it out to his elder brother, he took sides with the wife. My friend just adviced himself and moved back to their parents house, before a girl he is quite older than turns him to househelp because he was being nice.

So Bros I have seen this kind of scenario play out before, if the younger brother doesn't make his statement now, he should be ready to keep serving that lady.

No properly brought up lady will finish eating, (am not even saying she should cook o) and leave HER plates in the sink for anyone to wash, let alone a grown man of over 25 years. While she calls herself someone's fiancee. That sp called elder brother needs deliverance.

Personally I would have jokingly talked my younger bro to clear the dishes. I will not subject him to such insults just because I pay his fees, just like I will not compel my fiancee to wash my younger brothers dish, simply because she is a woman.

Everyone must understand his/her place, I don't take rubbish from ladies, fiancee or not. undecided
Lolololol! I think this clears it all. If dumping dirty plates for others to wash has become the habit of a fiancee, it might take the intervention of the holy spirit to set things aright for her developing family. The man must do something about it quickly. Normally, only a new chic is treated in that respect, especially when she never share kpomo grin
Ride on, dude

No disrespect man..

First bolded line.
Living with someone doesn't mean you can't voice your opinion, he isn't a slave just as the young lady in question is also not a slave.

Second bolded line..
Respect is reciprocal, if your visitor doesn't show me some respect, i will naturally vent it on you, that's just how it is.

Washing of plates doesn't show respect to anyone, it's just common African etiquette.

I used to visit a family friend of mine during my service year.
She would instruct the househelp to prepare food and serve me each time I came. I would eat and the househelp would clear the table.

Recently I visited her, and found out the househelp was no more there, but she had another more erderly lady living with her now.

As usual food was ready, this time I quickly walked into the kitchen to get my food before the lady would start serving me again.
I also cleared my plates and washed up after eating. I could have played the visitor card, but heck we have become closer than that, were almost like family.

moral is that, when a lady who by all intent and purpose refuses to do what naturally is expected from someone of her esteemed status as a fiancee... trust me, there is usually more than meets the eye in such scenarios.

If the lady in question was in good terms with the younger brother, he would have happily washed the plates. His actions were definetely a reaction to something much bigger in the background, don't look at the dishes saga alone. Something is a miss already.
Ok, now I think I understand ur point of view, but before I conclude on that, let me just ask this: how would you view this issue if this had been the lady's first time of visiting?

A million likes for this post. Nigerian parent forget to train their male children.

Back then, it was sensible that the boys went to farm with papa while girls did the chores and cooking but when education came, some people didn't know what to do with their male kids but still ensured that the girls were trained while going to school as well.

That's why some of these brats place themselves on a pedestal and think a girl is meant to serve them.

You are a disgrace to whatever schools you attended, you are so shallow, the ignorance oozing from you is stinking up the whole place, you don't even know the definition of a visitor, I could go there everyday for all you know but I remain a visitor as long as I don't live there, you slowpoke.

I guess 'husband' is what it all boils down to in your small mind, your kind should not be allowed to raise children(especially girls) tufiakwa.
You're taking this issue too personal. Just assume this is a topic for debate, and the scenario never happened in reality

Leave that dude, he is just seeking some cheap popularity.

Since the elder brother didn't see anything wrong in what his fiancee did, why did he not enter the kitchen, see the unwashed plates
Clean them up, enter his room and sleep off without making a case out of it.

Yet some simpletons can't see that there is already a cold war brewing in the family, they are busy talking from the top of their heads.

I wasn't there, but I can say for a fact... The uwashed plates is only a fraction of the issues on ground. Dig deepeer, you will find the fire for this smoke.

Again something is already fundamentally wrong. It's beyond the plates. I just pity the guy that want's to get married sha.. cheesy cheesy
Dude, I'm not looking for any popularity. If I'm not mistaken, I get mentioned an average of 150 times everyday from the Politics section, thanks to my username! I'm only voicing my opinion like ur doing now, on this issue. We all can't just reason along the same line hence there's need for debate. I still maintain that the younger brother should have washed the plates first before complaining. For fvck's sake, he's living with his elder brother! The plate issue is what he could have quietly discussed with the brother after the girl was gone. That's him showing due respect, not being stu.pid. Initially, I thought the elder brother instructed him to wash the plate in the girl's presence...only that should have been termed "the height of it." But him ranting about plate after the girl has left doesn't make any sense to me. if he doesn't respect the girl, he should respect his brother

How about severally coming to sleep and leave the next day? She is still a visitor? She has already started showing bad characters and the guy should know what he's about to delve his hands into, else, he will be the one going to market to buy grayfish, pumpkins and tomatoes and come cook for her and as well as washing her undies for her when they finally get married.
I gave my own opinion based on your writeup. All this additional 'come home and sleep till next day' is just out of the context. I'm particularly concerned about the egoistical younger brother who felt washing the used plate of his elder brother's fiancee or girlfriend (whatever) is demeaning. Let's leave the girl alone now and question his position with the elder brother. If he looks down on the girl then he can as well slap his elder bro

Here we go again. Feminist egoistic ranter. Keep advocating for equal right but the promise remains that as you were a woman, till you return to your ancestors, you'll remain a woman and men must always exhibit authority over you.
Oga, hold on. Let's look at this ur story in a civil manner.

1. The fiance visited the house (she's a guest)
2. She was served a plate of food (courtesy from the host)
2. She ate up and left the plate unwashed before going home (any crime here??)
3. The elder brother engaged the younger one in a bitter quarrel over the "unwashed" plate the next morning!

To me, this argument is totally baseless! The younger brother should be ashamed of himself. I would even expect him to take the plates away after the girl (fiance and guest) is done eating. So the washing of plate is not even supposed to raise a topic!

It depends on the situation
From what you've explained she was a visitor and you don't expect a visitor to wash up after themselves. The younger brother should have washed it.
Seconded! She's a guest, therefore, should be treated as a guest. And courtesy demands that u treat a guest with respect! It would have been a totally different ball game if the lady was living with the guy and the younger brother was the visitor

So having kitchen manner is the only criterion for ascertaining a wife material, according to u?

I think you are very right. A lady should show her upbringing by doing the right thing all the time. Because one day she will go to her in-laws place and expect her mother in law to wash up after her.
Come on! This is a babe they're expecting to become the madam of the house soon. It won't hurt a fly if the younger brother kisses her feet even...and he's doing it for the elder brother! The girl would naturally like him for that and would wanna return the favour. I don't support the junior at all

RomanceRe: He Was Angry With His Brother Because Of His Fiancee's Unwashed Plates by BabaOneChance: 6:44pm On May 25, 2015
If she used to clean up dishes for them during her courtship, the younger brother should understand now that she's the wife and mother of the house. I don't see any big deal cleaning up dishes. He's the younger brother, not the elder, to the married one. So if that's the least he can do for them for housing him and showing him hospitality, he should do with a clean conscience
