What is Corruption?

Corruption is when you drive expensive cars

For those who have brains; you'd realise it takes only little effort to make money in a city like Abuja.

Some Real Estate Agents make as high as N10million on selling 2 plots of land.

You mumu Nigerians won't stop displaying your low I.Q everywhere on the Internet
You couldn't had said it better. I don't know where we got all these deranged youths from all over the internet with a skewed level of thinking, seeing even legitimate successes as proceeds of corruption. Our youths are idealistically and interlectually lazy and cynical.

How did you guys conclude he doesn't have a Job or business? So if your father is a minister and you have all these cars wouldn't you had started a business to at least keep your mind busy and make money if your own? Well, I don't believe he doesn't have a job or business. Most northerners are especially into bureau de change or real estate in Abuja.

Why is the clown not relying on his kinsmen's vote alone? I think Igbo people said they are more than the whole Nigeria? grin grin

Now that Jega is going to use Card reader, the "evil rigging plan" of these "flat heads' don collapse! tongue tongue tongue

Tvegas:
You should complete your treatise by doing an expose on how the PDP mismanaged the war against boko haram. Notable among them is avoiding the real enemy, while tagging APC as the sponsors. Same GEJ alleged that Boko Haram sponsors are in his cabinet, yet no top government official has been prosecuted till date. I can go on and on but nothing will bring back the thousands of lives lost under GEJ. May their souls RIP.

In summary, whichever way you cut and dice this chronicle, Boko Haram shows the FAILURE AND INCOMPETENCE of GEJ. If you like do Chronicle of Narnia,it wont absolve PDP/GEJ from this mess.
That GEJ said "he know that boko haram sponsors are in his government or cabinet" does not mean he knows them one on one. Every man knows that an enemy within is often times difficult to unravel, so GEJ's statement means that he is aware there are moles in his government, but who are they? How do you find them out. What is transpiring in our polity today is a clear pointer to those who are saboteurs in PDP and yet it's difficult to prove that they are sponsoring boko haram. What we have in Nigeria are bunch of unpatriotic elements masquerading as agents of change and progressive.

Up until now, we still have APC and boko haram moles in our military, police and federal government especially those in the hnortherner government as seen in the defection of some governors to APC. They keep giving information to boko haram and APC and they are using it to embarrass the government and NIGERIANS at large. All those who cried against key decision taken in order to deal with boko haram are working in close relationship with these moles.

The difficult thing is that it hard to detect a mole, but With time NIGERIANS will defeat boko haram and they will be exposed. One key thing is that any important government functionary who defects to the opposition party is a first grade mole and must be watched and even spied on. We must be vigilant.

No one is mocking PDP.

It is a fact!

The outgoing president thinks he can hoodwink Nigerians by dressing in a military apparel. That is not how to deal with an attack on the sovereignty of a nation.

This is a clueless President that does not care about a section of the country. We want a President that will lead ALL Nigerians fairly and equitably and not a corrupt drunkard that decides to take action after thousands have lost their lives, tens of thousands displaced and millions disaffected with the level of terror in the country.

We need change and it is nearly here.

Sai Baba
The cluefull one who yet cannot even be nominated to lead a street association meeting, tell us which section of the country GEJ has neglected. It is your section of the country that has played hateful tribal and religious card in this election. Wait until the game fully changes this week then you'll realize that your hate and bitterness toward an innocent gentleman amounts to nothing when God gives him victory over those of you who have positioned yourselves as his enemy. March 28 is soon here.

omonnakoda:
Why must a fee be PAID ,WHY.That may make sense in your head but it does not to most Nigerians.
A consultant was engaged ,BY GOD or his Son JESUS?? Why?
, You spill all this as if it is the most natural thing to do, happening everywhere else in the world. People apply for all kinds of things online and DO NOT PAY.By similar logic why not ask people to pay for voter's cardshuh
Let me tell you what is not only natural but actually obligatory. If you own a large building or venue you should INSURE it so when things like this happen your insurers are liable. Good insurers will not insure risky activity. They will ask that the venue is approved by Fire service for intended activities . Since that incident has there actually been any genuine learning in the government of safety procedureshuh
We saw images of the so called test. Can any credible TEST have taken place under those circumstances. When you come out with such twaddle trying to insult or collective intelligence we will revolt and reject your nonsense. The insult is on you and your family.
People died because they were crowded into an unfit venue for a dubious enterprise it was not surprising at all.
Hear yourself " The stampede happened as a result of something" Do stampedes happen at Aso Rock? Why? Stampedes happen when there are large crowds in small spaces. The stampede happened because a callous and insensitive government organized or should I say misorganized a shambolic enterprise called an "aptitude test". The pictures of the test with "candidates" Cheek by jowl with each other were shameful enough to any decent human.
For you to come out in any kind of defence of that confirms you as a total beast
I will not take that insult from you, I expect civility in your response to my mention ok. I addressed a general house and did not take a swipe at anyone, so if you have to respond to my mention, I suggest you do that objectively & constructively.

Now that the avoidable damage is done, the government had done what it could to compensate the victims and family of those who lost their lives in that sad incident, so what do you now want?, for everyone to get sacked right? Yes you are damn right but that wouldn't bring back those who had lost their lives, take it or leave it. It doesn't change anything. Lessons are learnt everyday and people must move on with their lives. We've seen people die in avoidable auto accidents and yet other drivers still don't learn the lesson, you still see accidents happen everyday and people die yet it doesn't stop other people from traveling.

You speak of crowd crowd crowd. Haven't we seen several thousands of people attend crusade in some churches? why had there not been stampede in such places? Do stampede happen just because you have crowd at the venue? Even as unacceptable as it is, yes the organizers performed abysmally poorly but that doesn't rule out the fact that people would still had failed that test even if everyone had to look up answers in the text books.

About the payment, I find it funny how are quick we compare Nigeria with western countries where we don't even know how things work internally, all we see is the superficial effect of what goes underneath. We don't even know what the infrastructure looks like and how it is managed and administered. Now tell me one government parastatal that has a realtime functioning Internet/IT infrastructure. Even in Lagos state government, most of their IT infrastructure is run on contact by consultants. So does it mean that immigration department cannot engage a consultant who can set up IT infrastructure to help at least in the online registration? Even though the fee is quite high, but it sure gave the consulting firm a lifeline to continue its existence and also pay its staffs. Or you think that the immigration department should had stuck to paper application forms which must definitely disenfranchise a lot of applicants whose application forms will be used in selling roasted yam and plantain even to them?i
Please wake up and stop this insults, the reality is that it was a lesson learnt in a very sad and hard way and the government had done something in the right direction even though it's sad, but NIGERIA must move on, we can't get stuck there.

Lastly, I still maintain that if the test had gone well and people got jobs, would anyone come out here to blame GEJ or complain about the 1,000 fee paid. What if the registration project was awarded to you as an IT consultant and the process went well and no issues, would you say the fee paid was too high? Please let's accept to move on even sadly as we remember what had happened. We can't stop moving on. I have seen worst disasters yet the victims had kept it behind them and moved on. It's your choice and your call, GEJ had tried compensating the victims and I think it's ok. This doesn't make anyone a beast.
Politics › Re: Jonathan Taking Advantage Of Immigration Jobs Tragedy -APC by babestella: 3:00pm On Mar 14, 2015
I want people to analyse how the unfortunate incident happened then we will stop blaming GEJ. It has always been our culture never to resign, step down or step aside in events of tragedy so I wasn't really surprised to still see Abba Moro and David Paradang on board. However, what happened was tragic and very unfortunate but come to think of it, what if the recruitment exercise had gone well will anyone be calling GEJ all these unholy names?

The stampede happened as a result if something, GEJ, or these government officials did not cause the stampede. I have a friend who was at the scene, it was pathetic as no one could exactly point at anything.

Talking about the money paid, we all know that this application was done online and a consultant was engaged, some fee had to be paid though the amount charged was high.

Over I will still indict the immigration depart for not doing the test in batches so as to be able to control crowd and I think they have learnt a lesson from that ugly incident.

Now that the victims have been compensated and given automatic employments we have to commend the government on this and not use it as a political means. APC and supporters please take note.

kastonkastrol:
Kudos to dele.. He intelligently discussed the major problems facing us as a nation today and profess solutions to some of them. What are the major problems bedeviling our nation today ?

The 3 major problems holding our progress and development as a nation today are;

• corruption
• insecurity
• unemployment

Corruption - what have the jonathan administration done in the past 6 years to fight corruption or to reduce corruption to a minimum level? The answer is nothing. The OBJ we all love to hate established a corruption fighting body called EFCC. During the tenure of OBJ, this body spearheaded by nuhu ribadu did a little wonders to the dreaded monster called corruption, it sends fears in the stomach of corrupt government officials. The nuhu ribadu EFCC reduced corruption to a minimum level. It created the NFIU, but today the unit is completely dead. During nuhu ribadu's EFCC some notable corrupt men were arrested and prosecuted. E.g

Dipreye alamieyesiegha

Even OBJ's daughter(iyabo) was investigated in 2008

We can still remember the case of the vaswani brothers. To mention a few.

But the EFCC of today is fighting corruption within itself. SMH

insecurity - our nation has never been unsecured like what we experiencing now.

Boko haram in the north
Militants in the south south
Kidnappings in the south east
arm robbery in the south west

And yet the jonathan government has spend an estimated $27billion dollars in tackling insecurity, but instead of our security to get better, it is worsening everyday.

Unemployment - jonathan just lied some months by telling the entire world that he has created more jobs than any pass administration in the country. And sane nigerians are asking him some questions like "where are the jobs he said he created"? It is the fraudulent SURE-P Job scams that jonathan is talking about or the silly YOU-WIN nonsense that jonathan is reffering to? huh The immigration scam jobs is still at the back of our minds.

just last two months, OBJ accused jonathan of squandering $55billion oil money. Jonathan has failed nigerians and doesn't deserve any second tenure in office.. he has already wasted 6years that was given to him.
what you wrote up there are trash ad trash and trash. You are using baseless allegation from the opposition and OBJ to judge GEJ, I can see how skewed your reasoning has gotten. You talk about Iyabo Obasanjo being investigated by EFCC, it didn't occur to you as a charade to show the world that OBJ was not only hypocritically using EFCC to chase his enemies around.
Then you call YouWIN a "nonsense" it goes to show that you are a complete failure who have refused to think. YouWIN is for great minds who have great and viable ideas. I'm sure if you had an atom of an idea you wouldn't had hesitated to benefit from the project but you are bereft of viable progressive money making ideas that is why you could jettison your conscience to spew that rubbish you wrote here, you will always remain poor and lack in ideas because your mind set cannot liberate you with what I have seen in you. Good day if you'd please.

This is another APC strategy to embarrass GEJ not knowing they have actually embarrassed themselves. GEJ said he never placed that call, so who was paid to say there was a call the official who said this should come out and tell NIGERIANS if GEJ actually asked for the call. Anything other than this, then I see it as an APC works of evil. It will surely backfire. Someone was obviously paid to place this call on behalf of GEJ. Come to think of it, why would GEJ be calling the king of morocco to seek for endorsement when Moroccan will not even be part of our electorate. People should reason na. Haba APC.
