TayserMahiri:I would also like to let you know Nigerians and Kenyans have different way of life. The average Kenyan man lookk Meek and humble from the way he carries himself but that does not mean he his Meek and humble and the average Nigerian man in Kenya appears to be arrogant and proud from his composure and the way he talks and carries himself but that does not mean he his arrogant and proud. Way of life and where you come from has a lot to say about you but that does not make you a good or bad person never judge a book by its cover . Many times my caretaker then would apologise to me when I am telling him something's he thinks am angry but I am not I am only passing a message to him it took awhile for him to understand that is how we talk. Also it took me some months to adjust sometimes I get a text message from a junior colleague that would pass as an insult in Naija but in the real sense the Kenyan sending this message means no harm or insult it is just their way of life. Get closer to people and you will get to know them better and not just making general assumptions get to know of them on a more personal level. In Nigeria you are arguing with someone and you say are you okay? That is an insult in Naija but this same scenario in Kenyan is just a question not an insult |
TayserMahiri:Listen and listen well whether you are a Kenyan or a Nigerian am not really bothered all I am saying is presenting our continent in a very bad way on the media is very bad. Let me give you a little illustration this happened at junction mall 2015 I think, nakumatt to be precise (very close to where I was staying) I went to get some groceries it was end of the month so every was filled up I got my stuffs headed towards the counter for payment there was a queue. This white guy was in front of me it got to his turn after the cashier calculated all he bought there was this 5 litres yorghurt he bought it was not sealed properly so the cashier brought it to the white guys attention like sir this yorghurt is not sealed properly I can't pack with the remaining items so it does not stain and mess them up the cashier told his assistant that packs your stuffs for you to help the white guy change yorghurt. The white guy went into a rage and was insulting this cashier cursing and swearing at him everyone was silent nobody could talk I did not know when I started to shout at the white guy (maybe reflex) cause it all happened right in front of me the cashier was only been helpful, cos it was the white guy that picked the yorghurt from the refrigerator himself and put Into his shopping trolley if I did not stand in for my African brother that dirty looking old white guy would have just embarrassed the cashier for nothing ,now why am I telling you all this, these particular white guy looks at Africans as lower people and can talk to them any how that pleases him and nothing will happen if you really investigate why the white dude reacted this way it won't be far from this bad media presentation of ourselves. Throughout my stay in Lavington Nairobi these cashiers and their assistants at the mall are part of the nicest set of people you will come across. |
TayserMahiri:what is so difficult in reading and understanding I am talking of media presentation not physical presentation. |
Don't rush stop show off keep your money in your account when you get home you have e slot of time to build your house yourself. Why hurry to build a house you are not going to be living in till 4/5 years time. Why do Nigerians treat money like it is going to disappear the next minute. Things have changed keep your money in your account .most people that fall victim to these are those people that want to show off.

My advice to single ladies out there if you want that oga to marry you or take you serious first form for him but don't over do it even if you are tripping for the guy still form, most guys won't take you serious if you just let them have their way easily. |
[quote author=ehissi post=61655022]As I talk say na Esan no be Benin, go use your head and switch on transformer. I didnt say he wasnt a Nigerian, I simply wanted to correct OP statement "that a Nigerian man believed to be Benin". Na you dey use your shallow minded excuse for a brain dey reason another thing.... I know the fella personally, he is not benin. Plus the same americans when asked, where are you from still answer with, am an american citizen, from Newyork, or from the Country. Sit down for one corner dey assume wetin dey happen around the globe. Or better yet, just do your own "one corner"dance, ode oshi...... [/quote |
GrandFinale2017:I get your point, but most people don't know these difference except you are from that state or you have stayed there. All this age long unnecessary rivalry we should not be a party to it, that's all I was trying to let him know before Baba went ballistic. The hutu and tutis genocide in Rwanda started with harmless tribalistic statements before you know it is a full blown war we should not wait till it gets to that before we start to correct ourselves. |
martha89:three gbosa for you. Leave the tribalist alone. When you correct a Nigerian or you bring a better suggestion you become that person's enemy. I wonder why he his so pained. |
So she expects him to leave his schedule gather some of his relatives and come to your family house to collect bride price back. I think she is just looking for an Avenue for reconciliation if she is really tired of the marriage she will pay the bride price into his account and send him a copy of the deposit slip along with all the items her family put on the traditional marriage list collect from this man and most importantly she should also include the divorce papers send all to his family house then we know she really means business not coming to social media to announce. SIMPLE AS A B C |
Disturbing the cyber space with their local and useless life (money miss road people) even footballers that play in division 2/3 make so much more than this guy's we hardly hear anything about them that is how rich people behave they have nothing to prove to anyone or impress anyone cause they know themselves.if you follow any Nigerian footballer on instagram look at their profile you hardly find such money pictures and all the worst you will see is classic cars and they are very modest people all this people all follow a particular trend ,even as poor as I am I can never post a picture holding bundles of money on social media it looks so awkward and I believe many out there won't do such too. So use that to rate this two hungry boys. All I see here is NOTICE ME. |
Humanistme:poverty or no poverty safety first. So because someone is poor the person should not know what is right and what is wrong. And if I am to follow your thinking I think a poor person should even be much more careful to avoid spending unnecessary money on accidents that can occur as a result of their carelessness |
seunmsg:just two years and they want to steal people's money you and I know will be misappropriated or embezzled and end up in a luxury flat in ikoyi or bdc somewhere what of people abroad serving jail terms, sick two years is too small abeg leave people's money some will come. After 20 years na wa |
ehissi:You should have put his family compound name too, Benin and Esan are they not in the same state? for some reasons known to you only you just like confusion, too much segregation change man we want one Nigeria Esan and Benin which is more popular ? When you meet a foreigner and ask him or her where are you from? you get answers like I am an American, German, Canadian but ask a Naija man the replies you get will be I be igbo man, I am from ogun state too much segregation. It is only in Nigeria this kind of conversation can happen at an accident scene for example Passer by 1: how many people died in this accident? Passer by2: na 5 people die ooo and one mallam So mallam or aboki no be human being stop it we are one Benin or Esan ,awori or egun, urhrobo or ijaw.We are all Nigerians. This is the same poo that has caused serious genocides and civil war in countries like Rwanda ,Somalia segregation by tribe it starts like a harmless conversation and description with time it becomes a time bomb not only in Nigeria all over Africa this segregation by tribe and Geo political region or zone is killing us |
guys make una chill for their level it is okay you can't judge from a few pictures at least they tried no matter how local or cheap it looks at least it worked out. Organising such is not easy these are students where do you expect them to get money from to organise something better or flamboyant, this attitude of condemning things let's stop it at one point or the other we all passed through this stage. |
Humanistme:This is more of an issue of common sense and not finances and as we all can see you are you are just a perfect example "common sense is not common" we are talking of safety here you are twist and turning it.Cant you make a point without this your nasty uncultured manner or attitude. Most people suffer from lack of common sense and not finances that is just it. So because you can't afford a nanny or a maid means you should expose baby to such risk na wa. One day you will be a father encourage your wife to take such unnecessary risk with your baby, without being told the lady herself should know what she is doing is wrong. Or where or who has she seen doing such before and am not blaming only the lady am including the stupid slowpoke that took the pics, the gym instructor and all others in that gym at the time she was doing all this nonsense |
kennypedia: |
Humanistme:.Oga when you see such try to point out the dangers to these set of people politely. And if the picture is just for selfie purpose alot of selfies have gone wrong. |
DisGuy:thanks for correcting me I looked at the picture again and I have modified my comment but it is not right to strap a baby to yourself and go work out in a gym even if the mother is careless what about the instructor.Whether you get dizzy or not is not the argument and the number of times you use a particular equipment. I have heard of people dieing from a particular routine they do everyday and have been doing it over the years .Nigerians purposely ignore the message and focus more on the messenger (or mistakes of the messenger) she is trying to form a caring mother but in the real sense no right thinking mother would do such talkless of going to post it online .Waking up in the morning and going about your normal duties without headache or any symptoms is not a guarantee that you are 100 % okay and healthy. Equipment and machinery some workers have been using over the years still end up cutting their hands.when it comes to equipment and machinery safety should be the first thing on your mind. |
Strapping a baby to your back on a gym equiment which kind yeye gym is this where is the instructor even as a guy I use this equipment almost everyday once I stop the threadmill I feel somewhat dizzy and have to calm down once I do the emergency stop on this threadmill what she is doing is not right abeg poop. |
Mine is. |
obaataaokpaewu:must everybody on nairaland live in Naija |
Most of this our yeyebrites need to employ people to handle their social media stuffs I know some people pay people to do this, we are all humans no one is perfect but when you are a public figure you need to watch what you post and how you reply to some statements .People do this things everyday and you don't get to see it on social media I tire for this people |
SweetBoyFriend:shut up we know your type |
I can remember vividly me and my cousins had à big argument on this 25m winning. Thèse days 25m is not as big as we think it is, the way things are in naija at the moment if he his not frugal with that money he might go broke in the next 1-2 years, a friend of mine recently moved out of his parents place to get his own place within Lagos we had a budget of 700k rough estimate. Right now my guy has spent over a million rent inclusive and the flat is still not coming out yet these days the way money has lost its value you need to be careful. You just decide to take fresh air outside before you know it 10k Don follow am. |
Change to double cell radiator, remove thermostat completely, permanent the fans, check the polarity of the fan whether is it blowing inward or outward you can use a nylon to detect that. Follow all this steps and enjoy your corolla shikena |
TayserMahiri:This is the problem with you guys unnecessary stereotyping every country on earth has the good the bad and the ugly. Why some of you generalise I don't know. You see a Nigerian you just hate for no reason. Stop the hate free your mind and learn more.I used to be in that school of thought stereotyping people based on hear say and all that, if someone has not proven otherwise you have no reason judge you lose more that way.Get to know the individual on a personal Note and you stand to gain a lot And as for the African countries that think Nigerians are looking for greener pastures in their economy get your facts right most only come to spend their money in your country they don't benefit directly or indirect from your economy.Nigerians don't have that time to start calling you names the fact we like to communicate in our local dialect should not be of any concern or worry to you but just because you want to get into every Nigerians business and know what they are up to makes you feel this way. When you learn to mind your business it saves you a lot of headache. |
logica:contradiction how |
wiringdpt:you have said it all we don't want much from buhari and his people pick one and achieve it atleast even if we don't all like pdp and obj he sorted telecomms (cell phones, internet, cheap calling rates by giving out more licenses even if Nitel had to fold up) now we have other necessary stuffs like security, electricity and many more but I believe security is the most important from national identity to the amount of people we are, and social identification number, CCTV, give license to private security guys just national security what will put fear Into Nigerians (if you commit a crime you will be caught) an organised database for the police and general public to verify who is who that is what we are begging for even if apc should use the whole 4 years to do this I am okay that is the only way. It is only in Nigeria the whole high tension providing electricity to a particular village is stolen everything and no body is held accountable such things should not even be sold in the market it should be strictly government business and if you are caught in possession of it you are in big trouble |
Lesson to be learnt there is nothing like doing proper documentation in whatever you do family still remains the hardest set of people to deal with. Some are just there to use you and some just feel entitled all the time. If you want peace to remain in a family things should be done properly clear cut documentation avoid verbal agreements I learnt this along time ago be it money or joint ownership of anything I knew it was going to be like that. Jude is a big factor in this I can see from the video 2 against one, if it was just Paul and Peter they would have settled but once it is 3 it is very difficult. Anything that has to do with money and ownership of properties always do proper documentation with clear terms. Avoid na my family na na my family |
This story has many inconsistencies. Your baby still cries up to the point he sent you back to your own room so where is the second child now an issue when the only child is still a baby madam calm down just say you are trying to justify your cheating this matter over clear |
MtuMsuper:Oga what are you saying? If you can't read and understand a simple write up and get the message, no body is saying we are the same even twins born on the same day have their different personality and character. Even if you claim to have visited all the African countries and know their way of life even more than the citizens of those countries all you have written does not correlate to the write up above. The message in that write up is basically about the way we Africans portray ourselves to the whole globe ,when you see an Asian you know them even before they introduce themselves. All I was saying is we need to stop or reduce this negative media presentation of our individual countries and the continent as a whole. A Caucasian does not see you as a Kenyan, Nigerian, togolese he sees you as an African. So what is so difficult in getting this message. Now back to that senseless Kenyan woman how can she say every Nigerian is frustrated and the richest man in Africa is a Nigerian infact the richest black man alive is a Nigerian abi the word frustration Don change meaning. ORUE |
