I think the busy port will dry up soon as well. |
End of last year on this tread I predicted N175 to $1. I was a bit optimistic but Now that we have hit the $175. Would this stop now or not, Only God knows. Any one out there please update us with £ from the white market. |
Damola, nothing to do with the thiefs, don't blame them this time, they themself have been hit on this one. It is all to do with the forces of demand and supply. Nigeria relies too much on her oil wells, now oil is fallen, . Last year I brought a litre of Petrol in London for £1.19p now I am buying for £0.84p what a happyday. How are the mighty fallen, It is about time people go back to the village and do some farming. (sorry if that offends) ![]() |
Ummm!!!! Boycott The UK VISA? It can't work. People that have not travelled before think UK is making a lot abroad. You cannot compare that to what they are making here in the UK men, There is a guy in the UK called "TaxMan" his website is www.hmrc.gov.uk he collected 41% from my earning and he even wants me to pay for all the money I make in my own country Nigeria. And out of the 59% left, he collect 17.5% - 15% on almost everthing i buy. including toilet roll. Then I have to pay him everytime I drive to town(Congestion charge). Then for each building I own he charges me Council tax. If I buy TV he collect Licence fee. He is not asking me for money to collect my rubbish per bag, The list goes on. Any other incomes for directorship, share sale, inheritance etc has to be paid to him by 31st Jan every year. If you are let to pay they charge you £100 and then Intrest until you pay. If you don't pay you go to Jail. But if God wants you to be here. No one can stop you, even the Queen. |
1.2 million to make 142 million Naira in 5 years, yeh right. I hate that type of returns, |
What is the rate of Naira to £ today on the White Market, help |
Guys did you see what happened to the Naira today. The CBN does not want to tell how far they want naira to fall. Guess what, it is a happy day to me. We have been enjoying our pounds between 230-260 for a long time.Imagine trading my almighty ££££ for N170 - N190. Very bad. It has been a sad story for about some months now. But its tme to do business, I am coming to Nigeria loaded , My prediction is 1$ to N170. Although I am losing asset value in Nigeria, but who cares. I am born to invest , let my children sell if they want. Anyone knows what the £-N is on the "white" market today. (Black is a negative word), Haaa by brethren don't presecute me, I don't mean Black as in skin color. |
Thanks guys. |
The guy is not real. Can't trust him. I have decided not to rent it out any more though. Cheers Guys although no one knows how much this NNPC guys earn, |
Olakunle, Just read all you comments: If I have offended you . Please I am sorry. cheers BAC |
Pastor Olumide Emmanuel. |
NNPC staff wants to rent my duplex in lagos, I only use the duplex when I come to Naija on business and I do give friends of mine access as well as it is not too far from the airport, you can imagine the BA flights arrive 5am and I am home sometimes by 6am or 6:30 depending on the time of picking my luggage, I hardly stay there when I am at home, i know its such a waste but the reason why I did not rent it out is because, the property is too expensive to leave to just anyone. I am looking to leave everything in the house. As is fully furnished with all sort of expensive gadgets He has been boasting that he works for NNPC ( to impress me I suppose), NNCP or no NNPC, who cares, all I want is someone that can look after my property and able to pay the rent and all other cost like security, garbage collection etc. I have asked him for employer reference though and a record of his last one year earnings. lets see what he comes back with. if he earns less than N500,000 a month , it is a no , no , Cheers Guys |
How much do people that work for NNPC earn. Average monthly wage please. |
With all due respect. How do you overcome the power problems when you use these products. I can imagine coming home and my gate will not open because NEPA, (or what ever you call them now) has put us under the power of darkness. I am sure there must be a way to open the gate manually by how about CCTV. ( Its like a thief in the Night) |
Now that you've told us all the streets you know in London. Are you happy now? I was a genuine buyer. But now your jaws have betrayed you. I have found what I am looking for and at a good price. Good luck |
This story cannot be true. Ask yourself, how can the UK turn down asylum with weeks?. The day the UK government is able to operate that fast, I will send a letter congratulating the prime minister. In nigeria people are belivers, they believe all junk. so this guy is in troubled waters. |
My advise: I found my self in the same postion about 7 years ago. I am based in the UK and I need to start business in Nigeria. Lesson number 1: Nigerian are people that have all sorts of ideas and advise, but everyone thinks about how to steal your money so be careful. Lesson 2: Nigerian staff are very lazy. I suggest don't do a business that you have to hire Nigerians they will frustrate you. Lesson 3: Nigeria is full of get rich quick lies. So be careful. Lesson 4: Never do a business that requires PoWER. Nigeria is in Darkness. Most business spend all their profits on Deisel for Generator. Lesson 5: Never do a business that requires you to move goods from one location to the other. The authorities will frustrate your efforts as they want to be settled everytime. e.g POLICE lesson 6: There is something they call Nigeria factor: What this means is that, be prepared to lose all that money, make sure it is cash your life does not depend on. Why did I say that? No standards in the country, there are a lot of disorderliness, A lot of people use their creativity to tell you why things don't work , and don't forget NO GOVERNMENT SUPPORT. Insurance in the country is a taboo, My advise: Put that money in real estate and continue with what ever you are doing. Add more investment properties as you can along the way, So take care and Good Luck. |
any one out there , Exchange rates , pleaseeeeeeeeeee ![]() |
You've got my location wrong. I am not based in Nigeria. I am speaking from the UK. Quality and stardards are the order of the day here. Good luck and I hope you find a good buyer soonest. Cheers BAC |

Same question from me. I need to know the exchange rates today, Black market please. And was there any news on the forex activity today. We need to make money from this fall of Naira. Price target N175 to the Dollar, Info please, |
Guys Get ready Naira is going to 175 or above. In the UK we are filling the pains of the pounds. Someone is giving our Queen a knock on the head and she is caving in, from N260 - to N175 the money market do not forgive when speculation starts. |
This house cannot be built in this erra. Just not possible. This look like the victorian erra when buiders and designers give a lot of attension to details. I lov this house. I am going to paste it on the wall of my dream room. what so ever the mind can conceive it can acheive. |
How much is this property going for? A lot of people trapped in the Buy to let business are seeing thier investments go down the drain now. I have alot of cash, but if you want to sell to me. considering the credit crunch. I will have to bagain hard and that it is near the Olympics venue does not count. Olympics is just one event. let me know, only if you are deperate to sell. As a cash buyer we can do it fast. My lawyer is always ready |
If you are borrowing in Nigeria to build and rent don't try it if you do not have other sources of income to supplement. some tenants in Nigeria find it difficult to pay. But if you are looking at return on investment it can be very good if you buy now, build and sell in a few years time. |
I visted this place last time I was in Nigeria. Tell me, are you one of those that brought the land from Nitel. How much do you want for the land, what documentations do you have. I hope it is not too close to the huge building someone is raising for hall at the top of the hill. or is the land on the other side of the road. Please let me know I am intested if the price is reasonable |
Please i need a valuer. I have a property in Bariga on the road to abule oja. The propery is on the side of the road. At the moment it is occupied by 14 tenants. email me to discuss tunrayojadesola@yahoo.com |
Those gentlemen are correct. Price varies. But one thing I want you to take note: The person helping in project managing it can make a lot of difference to the price. There are a lot of dishonnest people in Nigeria. If you can get some one trust worthy you should be able to save loads of money. At www.nairainvestors.com we are just too busy our project management book if too full now. We could have helped you. We are not taking on any more projects till end of 2009. Check out our website there are a lot of info there for you. with pictures and videos |
