People in Naija don't understand why people abroad putting money into properties at home. Number 1 reason, Taxes. Abroad you are taxed when you earn, spend, save and die. Nigeria is a tax save haven. |
Crime / Armed Robbers: What Is Your Experience? by BAC: 11:09am On May 15, 2009 |
For those of us abroad, especially if you don't go home frequently. What can we do to protect ourself from the dangers lucking everywhere in Nigeria. If you live in naija what are your experiences and are there any lessons to be learned. I think one of the problem with us Nigerians is we like to show off too much and we are too loud (ego problems which is a trace of insecurity). And we let out too much information in the process. The last time I visited Naija, armed robbers visited my next door neighbours and it turned out to be inside information, check this out http://odili.net/news/source/2009/may/14/401.html |

Na wa ooo. A business partner of mine is caught up in this one. he has over 27million accumulating there in Nigeria that needs to come back to the UK, he is finding it difficult changing to pound at reasonable rates, this is becoming ridiculous. He is telling on the phone there is no petrol in Lagos, it keeps raining non stop and Soludo as turned a scaremonger over night by saying that there is another Economy down turn coming God help us, is it worth doing business in naija at all, |
Properties / Re: Get Ready For Property Price Crash In Lagos by BAC: 4:46pm On Apr 22, 2009 |
Due to the problems we have here in the UK and USA. My Nigerian brothers and Sisters are pumping money into properties at home. Especially Land. At NairaInvestors.com we don't even have space on our books. So i don't know where the property crash in Niaja is coming from. The trick to Investing in Naija is buy cheap land in Lagos axis and Hold. In a few years time, my brother , you won't want to sell. |

Politics / Re: Charles Soludo Makes 12 Million Naira A Year by BAC: 5:03pm On Mar 27, 2009 |
I don't appreciate Soludo's moves and lies. But for that position N12M is just too small. I expect double that, to match up the responsibilities. Come and ask Our bankers here, Many earn over £1M in bonuses alone. And they still send people's money into a black hole, |

Business / Re: Any Hope For The Naira? by BAC: 6:09pm On Mar 23, 2009 |
Reason for recent dollar fall is because USA is printing money 1.3 trillion dollars. Can you imagine. And now nigerian newspapers has attributed that to Soludo's clever moves. How can that be, Vasuani brother are blamed for naira fall by buying dollar officially and selling on the Black market. If there is a lot of supply of dollars in the Black market, won't the naira gain value. I don't know how this people think. It may be true that the brother are profiting from the sale. But the dollars they are changing is not enough to pull the naira back. So the underlying problem with naira is the price of oil , non else. So Soludo and EFCC, don't blame others for Nigeria's problems, |
Politics / Re: Obasanjo Pelted With Eggs, Tomatoes In London by BAC: 1:44pm On Mar 23, 2009 |
Too many fools on this board. I consider Obasanjo as a man that has tried his best for a Nigeria. Ask yourself: How many presidents has left power willingly to democracy in Nigeria. How many president cleared Nigerian debt. only fools would think that a nation that was destroyed for over 40years will the repaired in 8 years under the stupid democracy. If people don't think. Democracy cannot work in Nigeria. How would you expect one man to enforce truth and honesty where the majority voice is considered truth. democracy is a voice of multitude. That the multitude are crying Crucify him does not mean they are right ( Example is Jesus), Democracy is simple demonstration of craze. The same people obasanjo critics on this board will do worse if they have the opportunity to become president, You think because you are president under democracy you can just do anything you want? Fools |

Travel / Re: Uk Brings In £50 Visa 'surcharge' by BAC: 12:21pm On Mar 19, 2009 |
That sounds good to me. Why? Boris (Mayor of London) has been talking about Amnesty. If immigrants pay more taxes then there would be more weight behind the Amnesty debate. In this country a lot of people pay taxes but without papers their progress is limited. To Nigerians sending their children here for studies £50 is a KFC fee, |
Business / Re: Any Hope For The Naira? by BAC: 9:27pm On Mar 17, 2009 |
Soludo and friends are making a big mistake, Naira should be left alone to find its level in the market. If you use Nigeria's foreign reserve to back the naira, the market may not forgive as not only speculators are playing this market, FEAR is also a player ( the big boys are storing dollars). Dangerous move by soludo and friends, Watch this space, Trouble is brewing for Nigeria, If I where the CBN governor, My policy will be "Let use stay where we were before and let naira find its level in the market. Full stop. |

Business / Re: Any Hope For The Naira? by BAC: 1:11pm On Mar 16, 2009 |
Naira now 200 to dollar Odidison Omankhanlen, Lagos - 16.03.2009 The nation’s currency has continued to maintain a free fall against other world currencies at the weekend as the naira exchanged for N200 for US dollar. This confirms the fears expressed by analysts earlier last year that the naira would attain N200 for US dollar in the first quarter of the year. The present development has rendered ineffective, efforts by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to check the falling naira. It will be recalled that the apex regulatory body of the banking sectors had embarked on several measures to check the sliding naira. These have, however, failed to achieve the desired results. The foreign exchange market has virtually moved to the parallel market, where black marketers are experiencing boom. A bureau-de-change operator in Ikeja told the Nigerian Tribune that the situation was getting out of hand, stressing that despite their efforts, the naira was still maintaining free fall. |

How can a preacher managing an organisation of that size in many countries of the world be expected to jump from one commercial airline to another. Pastor Adeboye, Special congratulation to your organisation on the purchase of this air craft. Let the idiots keep shouting they will shut up when time is due, That was how they shouted when the church brought the first TV, devils still expect the church to be riding Vespa. |
Religion / Re: Video: Men Of God Worshiping Money by BAC: 1:47pm On Mar 12, 2009 |
Many fools on these board, if you are worshipping something would it be under your foot? , Jesus came to set the captives free. You need to be set free from Poverty mentality? These men of God you are talking about have found out the secret of releasing the blessings of God. It is not money that makes you rich , Dump Fools. The bible says The blessing of the Lord maketh rich. Money is not the issue here, the issue is freedom./ blessing This is a taste of the blessing: The most difficult money I have ever made in my life was earnings within the first Million. After that the blessing produces over and over again. I am a life witness. So stop that dump talk. |
