flamingREED:You seem to have no sense of dignity because look at how after arguing blindly, you're now shamlessly accepting that you've been wrong all the while, while I've been right. So it's now you know God hears thoughts when I been saying it since in the Op but you came and started speaking out of the abundance of your ignorance. You should take a deep breath and look at the rubbish you posted desperately trying to disguise the fact that you're wrong from the onset. At least now you've, even though reluctantly and indirectly, admitted that saying was not inspired of God's Spirit but of man because man doesn't need to confess with the mouth to be saved. |

flamingREED:You're obviously a worshipper of men, because the same men Jesus said were all brethren and that He was Master, you're now making the saying of Jesus about salvation of no effect by positing that error of one of them as the Word of God. If you continue on this destructive path, you'd eventually be destroyed for lack of knowledge. Obviously your scripture quotations have proven who your lord and holy spirit really is and it's certainly not Jesus and the Spirit of God. |

flamingREED:You keep dodging glaring instances that prove that you're walking in error. I asked you how the dumb and mouthless would confess with their mouths unto salvation you dodged it. I asked if both Paul and Peter were inspired of the Spirit of God when they disagreed on a subject, you also dodged it to prove that you are just blindly following such a teaching even though it contradicts the Word of God and His Will that no man perishes. Paul himself also said "a man believes with his heart", which is all Jesus said a man needs to be saved, so that can be said to be inspired by the Spirit of God, and why, because it's in accordance with God's Word. But he added confession of the mouth which God never said and is contrary to what God said to show that it wasn't inspired by God's Spirit but his flesh. You don't really love God because if you did, when you're shown such glaring error which makes it impossible for the dumb and mouthless to be saved, you would humbly acknowledged it even though you had previously considered it to be God's Word. I'd like to see how you evangelize to the dumb or mouthless, and teach them that those who can't confess with their mouths can't be saved. I pray the Holy Spirit would deliver you from viewing such words of men as the Word of God. |

flamingREED:How ironic when you're the one doing the bolded you're accusing me of. Jesus didn't say everything we needed to hear, yet you equate the Spirit of God to mere men? You're the one greatly erring, belittling the Holy Spirit, dishonoring Jesus here, therefore you need to say the bolded to yourself. |

flamingREED:Lol! I asked for where Jesus Himself who paid the ultimate price for mankind's salvation said man needs to confess with your mouth to be saved, instead of doing that here you are showing me what Peter one of his disciple said about Paul. Okay here what Paul said about the same Peter who said this about him: Galatians 2:11-14 But when Peter was come to Antioch, I withstood him to the face, because he was to be blamed. For before that certain came from James, he did eat with the Gentiles: but when they were come, he withdrew and separated himself, fearing them which were of the circumcision. And the other Jews dissembled likewise with him; insomuch that Barnabas also was carried away with their dissimulation. But when I saw that they walked not uprightly according to the truth of the gospel, I said unto Peter before them all, If thou, being a Jew, livest after the manner of Gentiles, and not as do the Jews, why compellest thou the Gentiles to live as do the Jews? So tell me if both of their words and actions were inspired by the Spirit of God on that occasion when they disagreed? That should show the error in positing every word they said or action they took as inspired of God's Spirit. God's Spirit cannot disagree with Himself... Only humans can. |

flamingREED:Paul you know, Jesus you don't know, that's why you'd make the saying of Jesus concerning salvation to be of none effect with that saying of Paul. If you truly know Jesus show me where He also made the confession of the mouth a requirement for salvation. I don't mind being an NL deceiver to you if that's what it means to posit the saying of Paul which clearly contradicts that of Jesus, as that of man and not God. John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that [b]whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. |

flamingREED:Lol! Even the words of the devil in the Bible were inspired by God's Spirit? And you think you're not ignorant of the Truth? But feel free to continue in it, as you seem determined to remain so even though it's been hence exposed. |

UgoFly:Even if one was truly saved and no longer a sinner it doesn't necessarily mean that the person will never fall into sin even though it's possible. The major difference now is that sinning would no longer be a lifestyle and the norm but an exception, that's if that happens at all. And this can be drawn from the lives of those who've walked with God at the highest level of faith in times past. Jesus who never sinned despite being subjected to many temptations gave us a clue into how He was able to achieve that feat when He said, "Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak." Matthew 26:41 So one of the ways He was able to overcome temptations was by praying, for prayer gives the spirit which is willing more power and control over the flesh which is weak. Another thing He did to overcome temptations was to fast, as He also said while observing a fast, "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God." Matthew 4:4 So any who does likewise would be able to achieve same results. Have a blessed day. 1 Like |

0temSapien: This was exactly what God meant when He said, "by this deed thou hast given great occasion to the enemies of the LORD to blaspheme..." 2 Samuel 12:14. The enemies of God have continued to blaspheme up til this very day because of that, nonetheless God wouldn't mind bearing it for His servant David regardless, because David was there for Him when He sought for a man after His heart. I think a few lessons could be drawn from that. |

flamingREED:You mean leave man's word as it is? Obviously you had no answer to my question to prove it's man's word not God. That you're not sure doesn't include me, for what you're claim to be surrounded by haziness is clear to me, but what you claimed to be a clear scripture is clearly not of God in my opinion, because God wouldn't say He "so loved the whole world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life," and later say "if they confess with their mouth they shall be saved", because believing in Him only requires the heart. Man adding "confessing with the mouth" to what God said, has only succeeded in depriving some men (the world) that God so loved and gave His only His begotten Son to save, of the gift of salvation that God gave, and that's what you do whenever you posit that saying of men as the Word of God. If you can't prove how the dumb or the mouthless can confess with their mouth unto salvation, then you've hence proven you have no case. |

flamingREED:I wonder why you people would not be afraid to posit the thought of man as that of God. If you really feared God you wouldn't dare do such a thing. Otherwise you'd tell me how the dumb and those without mouths pray with their mouths to God? Or are you saying that they can't pray to God and can't be saved? As for the woman, you're not even sure if she prayed with her mouth but regardless Jesus said she was saved. From the reasons Jesus gave which led to her salvation, none had to do with what she said with her mouth. God doesn't follow the rules of men, it's men that ought to follow His. |
Religion / 10 Characteristics Of A Man After God's Heart - jesusjnr by BackllGodNaija: 9:23am On Aug 06, 2020 |
11 Characteristics Of A Man After God's Heart These characteristics were drawn from the life of David, the son of Jesse, who was said to be a man after God's heart. 1. He was not a men-pleaser. For anyone who truly desires to be a man after God's heart this is a very essential characteristics, because it's impossible to a men-pleaser and someone who craves the praises of men to also be a man after God's heart. This was one of the characteristics which stood David out from most men, as David showed on several different occasions, even from his youth that he was not interested in what men thought said about him or his actions but God. One of such occasions was when he decided to take on Goliath, as his eldest brother Eliab's disapproval of him and actions did nothing to deter him from that which he had determined in his heart to achieve for God. Neither did Saul's discouraging words nor Goliath's mockery of his weapons amongst other such things. I Samuel 17:28-47. He was willing to lay down his life for them. "Sheep" in this instance implies the people he led, however before David became a leader of the people, he was also a leader of sheep in the literal sense even as a youth, as two of his achievements which he listed to king Saul to prove he was qualified to take on Goliath despite being just a youth and not a man of war, was how he saved a lamb from the mouths of both a lion and a bear, as he said: "Thy servant kept his father's sheep, and there came a lion, and a bear, and took a lamb out of the flock: And I went out after him, and smote him, and delivered it out of his mouth: and when he arose against me, I caught him by his beard, and smote him, and slew him. Thy servant slew both the lion and the bear: and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them, seeing he hath defied the armies of the living God." 1 Samuel 17:34-36 Therefore he showed on those occasions that he really cared about his earthly father's sheep as he risked his life to save theirs. Perhaps that was what prepared him and gave him the experience he required for the real deal, which was to lead his heavenly Father's sheep, Israel. For more click here: https://www.nairaland.com/6037306/11-characteristics-man-after-gods/1#92690834 3. He earnestly desired to do whatever pleases God and keep His Commandments. 4. He didn't allow fame, glory, power, and riches, to derail him and take the place of God in his life. 5. He took full responsibility for his sins and mistakes. Didn't lay the blame on someone else. 6. He was patient. He waited on God and kept the faith even when it seemed that God had forsaken him. 7. He had mercy on his sworn enemy who was hell-bent on taking his life. 8. He was a defender of the poor, helpless, oppressed, and stood-up for their rights. 9. He always relied on the Lord for direction. He enquired of the Lord. 10. He was very passionate and proud of his God. He defended God's interest to the very last even if it meant putting his life on the line. I'd expound on each of these characteristics of the man after God's heart called David in subsequent posts. God bless Nigeria. 1 Like |

Amotolongbo:Lolz! From God's "House of prayer" men have turned it into "houses of prayer". But no matter what men do, the fact remains that there's only been one "House of prayer" for God, and it's the temple at Jerusalem. No other House has God ever dwelt in, and even that one God left it once Jesus had made it possible for Him to dwell in man's heart. But let them keep deceiving themselves that God still dwells in any house like that...they do it on their own. |

Do Not Be Weary In Doing And Being A Good Example. You Never Know The Impact It Could Have I just got off the phone with a missionary friend of mine, and the kind of words he was using to show his appreciation to me for the impact I had in his life really humbled me. It almost drove me to tears. He said, "i'd be eternally grateful to God for your life....i didn't need to read the Bible...to be inspired to do what i'm doing and to be what i am today...It's because of people like you that inspired me...it's because of your example that made me to be so generous today that i don't give to be compensated or recognized... although it's been over ten years now, you can see how fresh what you did is still on my mind..." I didn't know what to say but I was just humbled at how just loving God and trying to do the things that please Him could impact someone else's life. It's crazy, really crazy. I was just telling Him "it's God oh, it's God oh" because in Truth it's God... it's a testament of the extent to which God could make someone to have a positive impact in someone else's life without even trying to do so but just doing what God instructs. And this was not the first time someone had said such a thing to me, it's happened on several occasions where my life and example has motivated people to love God more, become more selfless, more generous, more humble etc. No wonder God keeps telling me that i'm a blessing. It really works! It'd not just by preaching with the mouth but with one's examples and actions. Hence Jesus said, "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." Matthew 5:16 Therefore do not be weary in doing good, being a good example, and doing what God instructed us to do, because you never know the extent to which it may go to impact lives. This my friend, a graduate of ABU Zaria, is someone who goes to places the gospel has never been before, bringing the gospel to the unreached. He's shared with me some of the testimonies of some persons who got saved and whom God used him to heal. He also narrates to me some of the difficulties he faces, like one village he went where there was no water, so he had to dig the ground for water to gather so he could have water to use. And I've seen some pictures of him having to walk through water which almost covers his full legs on some his missionary journeys. It's really amazing the great things God could use our lives and examples to inspire... God bless Nigeria. |
