This is the person that funds the JL, all their tech, satellites and even their outer space HQ are from him so why would a suit of armour be something he wouldn't add to his repertoire also considering the fact that he like to plan for every circumstance.

Besides the Crux of the argument is what makes Batman as a character...and that is his character being one of a street level vigilante...
until later writers forced him into battles way above his tier

Everything about the way Batman as a character was created...and the way he fights is that of stealth combat...
Batman stands out as a street level vigilante, who uses his cleverness, stealth, cover of darkness and his tech to clean the streets of Gotham...

Just because one or two authors decided to give Batman a super powered suit doesn't change the core of what is Character is meant to be and what fits his character...

I admit some writing for the recent Multiverse trope has been bad but this one wasn't, a rule was set and followed and it's even simpler to understand unlike some other ones.
The concept of multiverse can never be removed from CBM's man, it's part and parcel of it, it enhances the story, gives flexibility and makes things more interesting.
I agree it shouldn't be overused tho but the Flash isn't guilty of that.

For Batman, I disagree with you. There is no suit of armor that puts Batman on the same scale as Characters on Superman's level.
No one is denying the existence of these feats in comics...but even in the comics they are well-known as PLOT ARMOR FEATS hence the mockery of the so-called Batman Prep time

A single punch from superman level aliens will destroy every suit of armor Batman has...
These characters have such universal scale powers but when they meet Batman they are nerfed so hard just to put Batman on an equal fighting scale...

Both in speed and in power, Batman lags far behind no matter what suit he brings...
There is no viable explanation why Batman should be useful in combat against enemies who can keep up with Flash and Superman's speed

There is nothing in Batman's skillset that realistically puts him at these level of combat. Batman's skillset is far better suited for stealth combat, not fighting superpowered aliens in broad daylight...

Batman is more of a vigilante...that's why most people prefer the Batman stories that focus more on that rather than those where he's somehow shoehorned into large scale universal level combat

That Flash movie wasn't bad, people just find it easier to shit on Superhero movies nowadays.
The CGI was good, the story was good and airtight with the time travel shenanigans.
The Cameos didn't take focus away from the main character, it was well directed and paced too.
You can't watch this movie and accurately pinpoint anything wrong with it.

@baddestguyp I saw Critical Drinkers review and it was rubbish... you'll know that guy has an agenda against the movie or totally zero comic book knowledge when he says that Batman should never be fighting against aliens that came for world domination cos he is only suited for low level street gangs. If this movie was released in 2016 it would have mad 1bn dollars + and people would applaud it as a masterpiece.

Secondly, Critical Drinker said in his opinion Batman is better suited for night stealth battles rather than out in the open alien combat. I don't think he said it's never happened before.
The reality is Batman is a street level Superhero, but the formation of the Justice league and teamups in the comics led him to fight way bigger enemies.
That's why the Batman is well known for PLOT-ARMOR termed PREP-TIME. Simply because his Skillset does not match these superhuman aliens...e.g superman


Thirdly, I've said many times that my reviews are not based on anyone's opinion. I clearly said that I've said a million times before that I hate the whole multiverse thing and that Critical Drinker has same opinion from his video yesterday.

I don't really think it's mainly about Ezra. There's many things going against the movie and Miller isn't even the major cause in my opinion.
My belief is:

a) The DC brand is at its lowest ebb with general audience. Black Adam, Shazam 2 and the last few movies haven't lived up to expectations.

B) WB inadvertently pushed the movie to overexposure with fan screenings.

c) The negative press and malicious agenda by some vested interests was a major player in undermining the movie. Several clips was leaked as well as the full movie as well as Camrips and stupid tales about its wack CGI few weeks to launch.
This movement somehow destroyed all hype or positivity building up for the movie and it's hurting its word of mouth.

d) and then there's Ezra Miller issue but I don't see this really significant with the general audience. Cos peeps who aren't on movie twitter don't know shït about the movie star's antics.

e) then there's also the issue of bias critics and industry watchers who fail to review the movie for itself and instead make it a morality judgement of its star. It's evident in the reviews, almost all the negative feedback wasn't even about the movie itself but because of Ezra Miller's appearance. Funny enough, some critics praised his performance in it. But as you said, even the Flash can't outrun Ezra's shithousery.

f) another major plot to this disaster is the serious competition in movies this summer. There's TLM doing strong business in domestic box office as well as SpiderVerse waxing strong globally. More movies are also coming out almost weekly with Indy 5 set to join (another problematic film too).


And this is why I want no Ezra Miller back as well other possible problematic actors for the upcoming projects. DC needs to stay out of the news and bad press for a long streak. Incoming creatives, actors, directors, writers etc needs to be put under the microscope for any negativity and watch their words in the public.
This is why I have some faith in James Gunn. So far his creative team and directors for the films is going the right direction as well as the choices I'm seeing for Superman Legacy.

It's been my opinion too that Erza Miller's rep is not what killed the movie...general audiences don't care about that...they don't even know...

Word of mouth + being part of a rebooted universe killed it

Audience lost faith in DCEU already

The whole CGI narrative did serious damage...every post about The Flash had many people making fun of its CGI even weeks before release
Trailers didn't help as the CG was never shown to improve

DC's entire marketing of the movie was on Batman rather than Flash as a means to deflect from the Miller controversy...but it made things worse imo...

So each media tries to mess with it to fit thier narrative. In the real world science, "Multiverse" is purely speculative theory existing within the science of time and space, so what hasn't been figured out in the real world, i doubt it will in fiction.

For me tho, i am not really bothered about the multiverse been stereotyped in CBM, as i think it is part and parcel of it. It will take a really good writer and serious maneuver to avoid the multiverse concept entirely, i can't even think of one CBM of the top of my head in the last 5 years that has done it successfully.

The multiverse is always a great trope for movies. In fact even the early 90s spiderman series had a spiderverse and handled it well.

The problem occurs when the IP is owned by a company so no singular writer can create his own rules since they're not allowed to restrict subsequent writers

That is why the Multiverse as a concept can never be good in CBM...
The best we can get are movies with good story that can hide the flaws in the concept like the Spiderverse movies...

Watching this Bloodhounds series, the main characters piss me off so much sometimes...

Episode 1: dude saw about 20 thugs harassing his mother in her shop...instead of calling the police first, he rushed in beat up many and got beaten up almost to death...

So many times in the series...instead of either calling the cops or calling their friends first, they choose to fight first when they're outnumbered...

Even if your friends can't arrive soon to help you, at least you should warn them to be prepared or something...
Instead all the characters somehow forget they have a phone for plot reasons ...

James has massive work and rebranding to do with the upcoming DCU. Good thing he has pedigree already and has favour with general audience & critics and industry professionals.
The DCEU is officially dead and no plastering work would have saved it.

And they need to stop trying to be like Marvel...even Marvel right now are finding a way to reinvent, why can't DCEU just go its own way...?

The Flash had no story to tell obviously, everyone knew that...I haven't watched the movie but I know it's just a mix of the Flashpoint comics/animation + Multiverse nostalgia fanservice

The Flashpoint story sef is a good story but feels overused. I don't know where it's been done in live action but literally everyone knows it already.
Flash runs so fast he goes back in time to save his mom, then the butterfly effect leads the world to chaos with many heroes dying...
And as a result Flash has to learn to accept the past and realize what is most important and sacrifice his mom again by undoing everything to restore order.
Good story but loses impact since everyone knows it already even before watching the movie



I believe DC for now should focus first on individual Character stories instead of trying to rush things with too many characters and cameos...


And they need to forget this multiverse nostalgia shît.

Actually I have high hopes for the franchise🔥
One is the people working on the project - the original directors are in on the franchise
Two is famous director like Guillermo Del Toro has watched the pilot episode and have praised it's originality and cinematography; people who worked on the cinematography and make up of Dune and Game of thrones are the one piloting this show , they even had to patent some camera techniques and equipment for this show plus I have seen some behind the scenes clips of the stunt work, the main actor is a master kungfu artist too

They would have released it this year but they saw it could be big so they had to shift the streaming date

honestly it's not that hard to make a live action of ATLA....

Despite having some Asian lore...it's very Western...the dialogue, original language etc...this is the biggest reason why I believe it could be pulled off


Even in the VFX department it's not that hard...just different elements
plus the combat too....not too hard to replicate...

The only issue is how to replicate the childish comedy to live action... since they'll most likely want to go for a more serious tone for the live action...

Also they'll want to cut out a lot of fillers...which I personally think most of those should be cut off especially in season 1
