oyaskii:I think it'll be decent. Season 1 of ATLA wasn't even that good sef apart from last 2 episodes...so you guys should lower your expectations... Season 2 is when it kicks off and S2 is when the Netflix adaptation will kick off Just hope the visual effects are good... And that the action scenes are good...not like the movie where it took a full squad of earth benders to move one stone ![]() |
Yemmie24:next time, Google first make you no waste your time on cancelled shows... And mid shows sef are usually the ones that get cancelled, so watch better shows |
oyaskii:those numbers are awful no matter the excuse... Wonder Woman 1984 didn't even make it's budget... embarrassing... Can't believe I wasted my money watching it The Suicide Squad was actually surprising since it was a good movie Projections are looking like Blue Beetle will flop too... If after the reboot, DCEU drops another bomb, they should just retire the universe and stick to solo movies |
oyaskii:they use cheap looking sets sometimes For ATLA...the costumes looked like cosplays |
DCEU dropping consistent nukes ![]()
|
oyaskii:have some faith... It won't release till next year... They have enough time to fix things |
Baddestguyp:what I'm worried about here is the MCU type of humour. It just doesn't work for One Piece and I personally hate it in media generally Luffy isn't the kind of person who says lines like: "I'm sensing some tension here" That's MCU script, not One Piece script The sets looks kinda like Cowboy Bebop live action sets... The teaser looks goofy...but One Piece manga/anime is also goofy af...so it could work... Buggy looks scary...like a horror movie villain...not a bad thing tho... |

Can't wait to see first looks from One Piece and ATLA
|
NaijaMemes:if you say so
|
pu7pl3:yeah sure. I honestly don't know why people are complaining of bad CGI
|
“The idea, of course, is...we are in the perspective of the Flash. Everything is distorted in terms of lights and textures.” ![]()

SOZINN: ![]() Imagine using CGI to give dead actors a cameo... Very pathetic...cash-grabbing tactics |
Arizoner:I said I check reviews doesn't mean I depend on them. I'm the same person who has said multiple times here that I don't trust critics and their reviews |
Broskyjames:S is seen as a special metric...special grade... I don't know if any critic site uses it, but my point is that alphabetical metrics aren't consistent A+ exist for some...for some the highest is just "A" Same as B and B+ The only way to actually know what the rating really means is to know the exact metric used. A far easier and more accurate method is to use figures. Alphabets preset a vague score unless someone fully knows the entire metric system being used |
. Nice cameo These nostalgia bait is getting more embarrassing. Even dead actors are now making cameos...
|
Beorn:is this a guess or real? I have never seen below a C on Cinemascore And alphabetical metrics are not constant lol Some metrics see "S" as the highest grade...some see "A" Some see "A+" Same as lowest...some metrics don't use up to "F"...some use "C" as lowest...some use " Nigerian University no be movie...some unis don't even use A+...it's A...even B+ and B- don't exist in some |
SOZINN:and someone wants to tell me that an "F" exists in Cinemascore when movies like Thor Love and Thunder and Shazam got a B+? |
Broskyjames:I don't follow Cinemascore but I haven't seen any movie rated below a C by them... And alphabetical metrics are not constant lol Some metrics see "S" as the highest grade...some see "A" Some see "A+" Same as lowest...some metrics don't use up to "F"...some use "C" as lowest...some use " ![]() Nigerian University no be movie...some unis don't even use A+...it's A...even B+ and B- don't exist in some |
CrystalTiger:yes the kid was annoying... But that's what he is...a kid. Just like Tyler said, he is confused. He made mistakes...he doesn't know who to trust...he was being told different things |
Extraction 2.......8.8/10 Solid action movie. The objective was clear. No one went in expecting some grandiose story... But I won't go into spoilers The uncut action scenes of the extraction from prison to the train and to their extraction point was incredible... I heard it took 4 months just to film that scene... Some insane directing there since everyone knew their roles... I'm glad people are starting to appreciate uncut scenes more and more...I remember one of the legendary uncut fight scene from the old Korean movie: OLDBOY Not like the cheap scenes with a million pointless cuts we mostly get in Hollywood nowadays... for the record, I'm Not saying all action scenes with many cuts are bad...the Bourne movies did it well...and they used it with a purpose and efficiently... But most movies after just use to make cheap effortless action scenes Glad uncut scenes are getting more focus nowadays The action scenes weren't realistic but never broke investment...not like the supernatural scenes in Fast and Furious. They put in a lot of effort to make them as professional as possible, making full use of different artillery and kits The only scenes I found incredibly hard to believe was the fight with helicopters on the train. At a point, they had a clean shot at Tyler but somehow, all their bullets managed to miss him out in the open while all of his landed on the chopper Was it better than the first movie? I don't know...I think I enjoyed the first movie slightly better but it's been long. All I know is that both movies are very good...it could go either way
|
Broskyjames:if A+ is the highest, then what is the lowest? C- ? D? F? Or maybe even "S" could be the highest |
Beorn:stars... especially 1-10 stars is still great... Most people can understand it... IMBD uses stars but final score is in digits... The whole alphabetical score is too vague... different sites can have different meaning of these alphabets If A+ is the highest, then what is the lowest? D? C-? F? |
Broskyjames:well I don't use Cinemascore anyway... I just see their scores and don't click... I hate alphabetical scores |
Beorn:I think his point was that this alphabetical rating is a very sîlly and vague rating... Whenever I see it myself, I personally ignore it... It's too vague, you can't really tell from it... Same as most people... because the alphabets can represent different scores... I think Cinemascore do it so people focus more on their reviews than the score itself... Same as the review I see on this thread. Whenever I see alphabetical scores, I personally ignore it and focus on the review itself...the score is pointless so yes...using alphabets to score movies is a sîlly rating system except your intention is to get people to focus on the review and not the score If you simply dropped an alphabet without a review to accompany it, it would be clownery...but with a review, it makes more sense |
