MAY BE GOD IS A DICTATOR?


"Thus say the Lord..." as repeated in the bible many times has been a point of argument for many baby Christians and even atheist. Some of the questions they ask would be:

Why must God always talk all the time?
Does He care about our own choices or just forces things on His so called children?
Why must prosperity be tied to serving God, a dictator?

Yes, He is a dictator. A good dictator. Who is then a dictator?

“A person exercising absolute authority, especially a person who, without having any claim through inheritance or free popular election, seizes control of a government"

God is all that this definition beholds true.

1. He excercises absolute authority. He is not expecting everyone to be obedient, but His children alone, those He has called forth out of darkness into His marvelous light.

2. He does not have any claim to His throne through inheritance or popular election. He didn't need our votes and ballot boxes to have made the Heavens and the Earth and never will He need your opinion to make things the way He wants. He created all things.

3. He does not need to sieze control of government because He formed all things, He spoke them into existence and the government is upon His shoulders Isaiah 9:6 .God made the world presidents, He install kings and made kingdoms all over the world that have existed - from Mesopotamia to Greece, Rome to Europe, the Americas, Carribean Islands, Pacific, Middle East and what have you. See Col 1:16-20 for reference.


God loves authority and dethrones competiton. He is selfless and wants obedient children only. These same children He loves and have given them power over other lower powers of darkness. He also made them kings and queens, decorating them as gods, sons of the Most High.


I am glad to let you know that God is not a dictator, He is a father who entrusted you to your earthly father and mother. He made them to be head over you. And no father, especially our earthly fathers would want a rebellious child. Even our earthly fathers rule the home with authority and wants you to honour them always. God wants the same.

Don't see obedience and principle as autocracy and dictatorship


The Book of Matthew 21:12-14 New International Version (NIV) records Jesus at the Temple where He chased defaulting rebels away from His father's house. This is the impeccable Son of God. Why did He get angry? Getting angry to the extent of turning tables. Can you picture that? When last did you turn a table upside down?

Ref: Jesus entered the temple courts and drove out all who were buying and selling there. He overturned the tables of the money changers and the benches of those selling doves. “It is written,” he said to them, “‘My house will be called a house of prayer,’ but you are making it ‘a den of robbers.’ ”

Those who think God is a dicator do not live according to the standards and principles of Christ. They tend to be worldly and deny biblical separation. We are not entirely perfect by by His will we can reach perfection. God wants and requires our total obedience. See Deuteronomy 28:47-48



Benefits a dictator will never give you:

1. Blessings - He will continue to be God in your life and every other thing concerning you

2. Protection

3. Supremacy in your life
Malachi 3:6

I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me:

That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am the LORD, and there is none else.

I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.

3. Dominion and Settlement


God is not a dictator. He is a loving father who requires the total submission of His children to His Word, His Son, Jesus and dwelling through our inward witness with His Holy Spirit. Jesus cares about your choices, just let Him know.

God loves you and bless you.

LHC... Reach your stars

The Nigerian literary scene spans across three wavering generations with the emergent 3rd and 4th generation writers who are doing everything possible to chart and re-map literature in Nigeria. And of course, we belong to that generation.

The NGO, 'Write Now' was formed in July 2017 and started as a social media platform where established and budding writers could meet to network and shared ides on the craft of writing, editing, publishing and the trends in writing. Its purpose was to awaken a new generation of contemporary Nigerian writers in all genres as well as improving the nation’s reading culture.
Truly, the initiative has stayed loyal to this founding vision having had several online writing workshops and a virtual magazine to that effect.

Along with this is reaching out to schools with the goal of spreading Literature and teaching Creative writing to secondary school’s students for free. Although, this project; Write Now is not inspired by personal need, but communal and national need, with the founder’s desire in spreading Literature and Writing to the young minds. In his words, “It is focused on creating a platform where young students would be trained on the art of writing as a skill and as a future career for those who decide to follow that path”.

I find joy in helping people become more, see more and do more. More than anything, writing and seeing budding writers become better writers have been one of my greatest passion. The Literary/writing project is also inspired by my love for Poetry and the gap in most communities having trained over 150 students by the end of March, 2018 which was ots first outreach.

I feel elated to have helped over 150 students to walk through the path of writing, not just for NOW but for the FUTURE. Truly, their lives are bigger than they can imagine. The published magazine contains the various visits and workshops in the selected schools and is available online. It also contains the works of art created by the students’ beneficiaries. They address varying themes and issues.

However, to further run with this vision, we have decided to spread across to most schools in Nigerian major cities: Lagos, Ibadan, Abuja, Port Harcourt, as well as other states with time. This would reqire finance on a large scale in order to purchase books, literary materials, teaching aids, publication and scholarships for promising writers among them. The students are in our hearts and of our greatest interest. With this, we will successfully promote Nigerian Literature which I believe forms a big part of World literature(s).

Your write up was making sense, until you claimed that back of the wood University is prestigious.

Did not even know Osun State had a University. Too much mushroom schools popping up everywhere.

How come you didn't know Osun State have a University? You just broke my heart. That means you've been busy in the woods finding mushrooms.

Some predecessors had made NYSC look like it's a total waste of time. No it wasn't. It is a one whole year I would wish for again(yes, I meant that)... Serving in a church as a pianist, graphics designer, Media director and Creative writing/English Grammar/Literature in English teacher was heart warming. More than that, I didn't only had the opportunity to serve the Nigeria of my dreams, I served God too. It was stupid when I told people I served in a church: Victory Int Church of Pastor Taiwo Adelakun but I followed God.

In less than one year, I was able to chronicle my priceless experiences, feats, challeges and how I was able to overcome them achieving worthwhile results. I wouldn't have written my new book, "Mbok Don't Kopa Me" which is my first work of creative non-fiction, my second book and has received over 1500 downloads.

I wasn't the best, God's grace was the reason and I return everything to Jesus today. I served as the state's Graphics designer and creative director for the NYSC Akwa Ibom designing the monthly newsletters, banners, social media-ads and the Cover page of the final POP Magazine.

Through my Creative Writing Initiative: "Write Now", we trained over 150 students in Uyo metropolis and published a magazine. More than than, I have learnt patience, diligence, service, humility and building networks.

Today, as we move to the next phase through God, not through man, I'm privileged to be part of the 5 to have received an NYSC/State Award for having carried out a Personal CDS successfully. I held my tears as I received this remembering all the hurdles I went through walking all over streets in rain and sunshine to get sponsors. Enough said, only praises to God.
