A United States (U.S.) District Court for the District of Columbia has granted leave to 10 Biafran plaintiffs to sue Nigeria’s Chief of Army Staff, Gen. Tukur Yusuf Buratai, and 13 others for complicity in the 2016 torture and extra-judicial killings under colour of Nigeria law to retaliate for peaceful Biafran protests against ethnic or religious oppression.

Brought under the Torture Victims Protection Act and Alien Tort Claims Act Complaint, the plaintiffs are seeking millions of dollars as damages to compensate for their grievous losses and suffering.

The suit, John Doe, et al vs. Tukur Yusuf Buratai et al, with Civil Action No. 1:17-cv-01033, has been assigned to United States District Judge Ellen S. Huvelle, who was appointed by President William Jefferson Clinton.
The court further ruled that the “plaintiffs alleged that identifying plaintiffs or decedents would expose them, their families and relatives to an intolerable risk of death or serious bodily injury at the hands of defendants or the Government of Nigeria.”

Counsel to the plaintiffs, Attorney Bruce Fein of Fein & DelValle PLLC, and W. Bruce DelValle, said, among others: “This landmark lawsuit is about justice and the rule of law coming to rescue Igbo, Biafrans and their political supporters who are persecuted, because of their Christian religion, ethnicity and political viewpoints since Nigeria’s independence from its colonial master Great Britain in October 1960.”

He is also linked to the arrest of Olanrewaju John, also called Pastor, Okunola Saheed and Saheed Adekunle after they attacked a bureau de change in the Murtala Mohammed Airport, Ikeja, Lagos, in 2013.

CSP. Abba Kyari also led the Special Intelligence Response Team (SIRT) of the Lagos state Police command, that rescued the 3 abducted school girls in Ikorodu on March 6th, 2017 has met with Lagos state governor, Akinwunmi Ambode who expressed his gratitude after the rescue operation.

As a result of his hardwork, Kyari has won many awards including the IGP Commendation Award for Courage 2012, 2013, 2014. He has also won the Governor’s Award for Gallantry, Leadership and Service excellence 2011, 2012, 2013.

The boys aged 3 and 5 had their throats slit before being dumped into the river while the eldest 6 was hit on the head with a blunt object before he was dumped into the river.I don't know where it happened but according to the FB user who shared the story,their father is a political aspirant.Currently he remains childless

The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu today unveiled a statute which was carved and designed in his honour. A sculptor named Mazi Okwuchukwu Njoku and his crew from Owerri, Imo state - reportedly designed the sculpture.

They presented the sculpture to Mazi Nnamdi Kanu right in his home in Afara ,Umahia the capital of Abia State.

“I introduced a friend based on trust to my aunt who is a car dealer.he came to buy my aunt’s faulty car for 550k without dropping any peny with the agreement that he would have to fix the car first before he starts paying .

Dark-skinned Nigerian singer Oyindamola Johnson Emmanuel, aka Dammy Krane, was arrested on Friday for grand theft and credit card fraud in the US after he allegedly used stolen credit card details to book a jet for a trip to Miami from a private jet leasing company, Tap Jets.

No sooner had the story surfaced online than it was followed by the Amin singer’s mug shots. He was reportedly arrested in company with another Nigerian, Chukwuebuka Gabriel Ilochonwu.

The charge sheet, which has since gone viral on the Internet, listed Krane’s crimes as ‘Grand Theft 3rd Degree/Armed/Conspiracy/Credit Card Forgery/Intent to Defraud.’

Sunday Scoop sought to ascertain from insiders close to the embattled singer what the true story is. According to one of Dammy’s aunties, who lives in the US and who pleaded for her identity to be shielded, he was only a victim of circumstance.

She stated:

“We don’t stay in the same state over here but Dammy came to visit me just last week. I got the news of his detention on the Internet just like everybody else.
After making some calls, I was able to confirm that he was indeed arrested. He has been in the US for some time now and he has regularly been booked for shows all across America.
The guy he was arrested with had actually booked him for a show this weekend in Miami. And he (Chukwuebuka) was the one that paid for the jet and made hotel reservations with the stolen card details.”

Speaking further, she said:

“You know it is a usual thing for show promoters to book flight tickets for artistes, so one cannot blame Dammy in this situation. A lawyer has already been contacted but unfortunately, Dammy would have to stay in jail till Monday when they would be able to go to court to perfect bail conditions.”

However, this is contrary to the prevailing views on social media, with many Nigerians lambasting Krane for trying to live and portray a lifestyle above his means.

The singer had recently been posting pictures of himself eating, drinking and dancing on different private jet trips in the US.
