Properties / Caretaker Locks Up My Shop With Another Padlock (PLEASE ADVICE) by baibbieboy: 5:28pm On Jul 06, 2013
Hello Nairalanders,

Please I will like anybody who is a lawyer or has any knowledge about the rights of a landlord and tenant to please advice on the next course of action.

My rent expired on April 3oth 2013. I pleaded with my caretaker to give me time to come up with the right as business is not all that good for now.

On June 3rd he dropped a quit notice which was dated November 30th 2012 with my neighbour to give to me. The name on it is not even my name. So he came the following week to ask if I got the letter he brought and I told him that the letter was back dated and secondly the name on it is not my name. Then he asked what my name is and I told him to check his records and look at the receipt they gave to me when I moved in. If he wants to give me a quit notice he should give me a valid one. He said he'll come back.

In July again, he dropped another 7 day quit notice that was back dated to June 6th with the same wrong name on it with the same person.

Now I was told this afternoon by a friend that he has come to lock my shop with another padlock.

So how should I deal with it
Crime / Re: 'I Watched Them Kill My Brother' Tekena's Sister (ALUU4) by baibbieboy: 8:32pm On Oct 12, 2012
Well I was online with one of my friend in PH, she told me that the whole thing is cult related. The person they went to attack actually shouted thief and the whole community took it from there. She said robbers has been disturbing that community in recent times.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Should Arsene Wenger Be Sacked? by baibbieboy: 11:35pm On Apr 19, 2010
I dont think sacking him is the solution. We all blame him for not signing players, yet the board seems to be comfortable wit it for five seasons. That means they both have an understanding.
Music/Radio / Re: Owerri Crowd Frustrates Mi by baibbieboy: 11:43am On Jan 31, 2010
I think we should all understand that most people in naija dnt really feel rap music, so i think that's the price dudes like MI, Neato, mode9 and others doin rap on dat level pays. Most people dont even have the time to listen them. They prefer dbanj, psqr, timaya n co because of the groves in their stuff even they dn't make sense to some. So no matter hw good these rappers are, they can never be as popular as dbanj, tuface, 9ice n co. we are all free to like who we want

Music/Radio / What Do You Think Can Project Our Naija Hip Hop To The Next Level by baibbieboy: 10:20am On Feb 23, 2009
I have av always thought about our naija hip hop genre. No doubt the industry is getting better every day by the kind of stuff dat our artists are doing right now. But How can we really cut across all barriers by getting our naija hip hop recognized globally just like some other genre from naija. I'm talking about people likes of Fela, Femi, Asa, Lagbaja and co.
This sets of artists are really rocking the world stages everywhere. Our hip hop artists too do go for events outside there but not on the platforms that they do. we need more of concerts like the one 9ice was on Mandela's birthdays concert in the UK even though the performance wasn't spectacular. And maybe they should just try to balance creativity and being commercial. I encourage them to do songs for naija people and at the same time show the rest of the world that they can really do some real stuffs too. I think in that process we will represent better with our own kinda of hip hop. And our lyrical content should be on point. not just make we dance alone. It's my own opinion sha please do coment
Music/Radio / The Dark Details Of Freestyle And Tpain Joint by baibbieboy: 9:57am On Feb 23, 2009
Fellas I got this form downtown-inc.ning.com so i felt i should share it with you guys

The Collaboration Between TPain and Freestyle of the now defunct Trybesmen came to my notice in an entertainment report by STV.Then it was two things for me really, first was the excitement for him even with the status of our ever rocking twin of the Psquare who couldn't pull off the collaboration with Busta Rhymes and lost a huge sum in the process (don't say I told you if you just found out) and just as that thought struck with the money involved the next came calling, how much did Freestyle pay to see the collabo happen and what possible arrangement could they have reached cuz even with Tuface,I hear since facilities to measure royalties R Kelly gets is on not solidly on ground here,Tuface had to pay handsomely but don't border fans-he got an handsome reward from Marketers of the 'Unstoppable' album.

Back to Freestyle and Tpain. Then this popped up,Another artiste who goes by the name ,Sha Stimuli used the same hook by TPain.
sha stimuli version with TPain

and for those who have not heard the Freestyle version here

freestyle version with TPain

I got inquisitive and sent a mail to Sha Stimuli with both links and here was the response as it happened that Sha Stimuli version was for a mixtape and like we know mixtapes permits alot of infringement.
"it's not an original song fam.it doesn't belong to anyone. It's from a contest but the contest is over now.I'd send you a link when i find it".well, the link kept me from putting this out but looks like the link is not coming soonest.
so I sent another email to Freestyle. He responded, here:

"Nappy-Boy's tryn t'sign sm1 on, I took MY chance, T-pain and his manager Micheal Blumstein KNOW abt MY collabo, AND THEY LOVE IT. Guess when i shoot the video it'l be official aint it?" I wondered again would TPain be part of it (video shootin).I wonder too much, right?

It rocks that TPain is aware of this but Now the issue is why would Freestyle settle for a signature tune for a competition, that's if I'm not wrong

I took my time to figure this out before posting this, I've come to realise that most of this artist don't really make all their money from music alone. I got this info from a reliable source. actually it's from one of this hiphop artist hype man.
Although some of them rock shows and gets some money, u will still find it disappointing that this so called A-list artist that we think they're well paid are into drugs, 19, n the so called yahoo boys. the dude mentioned names like 9ice, Ajasa, ruggedman, olu and even our so called d'banj n don jazzy n so many others. he said we shld not be fooled by everything the say.

I 've also come to realise that if we look at it very well how many people are really buying albums in naija?, other the alaba compilation discs. i've really noticed that most people that really talk about music or listen to current naija hits don't really cop albums. thats why when you mentions some tracks in some album, they won't know them.

dn't get me wrong, i did not say they don't make money but not as much as they claim they do.

Olu maintain is an example and i'm picking him cos i've met him personally a couple of time during the maintain days. I even use to go to his crib at ogundana friend wiv a bruv then and i know who he is. hw many shows did he rocked and hw much did he make from his album. Anyway i dnt want to go into detail on that i don't want to start unnecessary insuations.

I jst we should stop judging them(artist) in naija about hw much they have

I understand it's ur opinion on who you prefer among mode and rugHEAD, ur post r just senseless

U sit down 4 uK dey tell us wetin dey happen 4 naija

Music/Radio / Re: 'modenine Is A Bastard And Will Die A Pauper' ----ruggedman by baibbieboy: 11:35am On Jan 30, 2009
Hi fellas, I just read ruggedmans interview now and i will like to post one or two tins concerning the beef issue that have been goin on for some time now.
Hosnestly I don't want to us to start another who's better btw mode and ruggedman.

First and foremost I want to believe that both artists in question have done alot for hip hop in this country. I simply don't see any reason why the should be locking horns with each other. If it had been Mode vs i'll bliss or OD, it wuld av been a bit understandable.

Their style of hip hop is different and i don't see any reason for rivary. even in the states there are rappers that are hadcorerapper like ice cube, dr dre, game, wc, etc and there are some like nellyy, fabulous, etc. that are not hardcore rappers. And everybody still held their ground. I dn't think anybody should be punished for doin whatever kind of music
he feels like doin. although sometimes beef is good for hip hop, cause it gives mc's materials to work on and all that, but i don't think it shld go down like this. He's the best rapper and he's broke, He's wack, pidgin rap n all dat stuff is just silly. whether he's sleepin on a mat or he's skinny is none of our business. what we want is good music. we'll follow who we want.

I'm a mode fan till whatever but I dn't think doin a beef track for rugged was a good thing for mode to do now. he's shuld've done before now. It's even silly that rugged acknowledged that mode is the best rapper in nigeria, he was only insisting that he's broke and all that. A while ago Jay Z n Nas had there own. why didn't Jigga claimed he's more successful as a base for his beef.

I think they r now both behaving as small kids

We know ruggedman did help hip hop when he spat then, but he should not please bore us with praising himself everynow and then. I think he should focus on switching up his stuff too and mode should do the same .

We shuld only hear beef on something credible not hw many cars i get , shows and wackness

Music/Radio / Re: Is Nas The Greatest Rapper Or What? by baibbieboy: 9:00am On Dec 05, 2008
Nas is one of em greatest no doubt. I rate him the best right now considering 2pac is dead. But all in all 2pac is the best rapper i've ever listen to in my life. I still listen to him and feel him anyday.

And i think we shouldn't deviate from the topic of discussion, we're not talking about how succesful they are but how good they are
Music/Radio / Re: M.i. (mr Incredible) by baibbieboy: 8:46am On Dec 05, 2008
M I is no doubt a good emcee. I've got credit for him alot at least i can still rate him to be one of the top 3 rappers in naija. but not as hot as mode. lyrically mode is the don. lookin forward to cop M.I's album anyway. The only thin i've got on M.I apart from lyrics is that i can't just take my mind away from kanye anytime i hear M I. he's a great dude though.
Music/Radio / Re: Review Of Modenine's Album: Emphasis On Track 22:death Blow by baibbieboy: 6:47pm On Dec 02, 2008
i've listened to all the tracks on the album and i think mode has done it again. The album is a classic no doubt.
I have been following him since 98 and i got all his mixtapes and albums and i can tell you that mode never dissappoints.

On track 22 I think rugged really deserved the blow. we all know that mode is the boss and wether rugged likes it or not
mode is his father when it comes to rap.
That is wat u get when you try to make a career out of dissin. Make we talk tru mode is number one.
THe album is da bomb
Music/Radio / Re: Pls Who Is Modenine Talking To by baibbieboy: 4:01pm On Dec 01, 2008
I think we should all understand wat dis beef is all about, It's about respect.
we all know mode9 is lyrically better than ruggedman.
Ruggedman has always been makin money from dissin people. apart from his dis tracks, which other songs has he done that is dope. ya'll tot he was the messiah when he dropped ehen, I've been hearing about mode since 98. And I know they are no match. Ruggedman should av did his own thing and let mode do his and everyone will be cool. talkin abt hip hop should be done strictly in pidgin is rubbish, I think he needs schoolin on that note.
He just av to admit that we all av bosses, mode is his boss lyrically. no matter what he spits he'll never win

go cop the album it's the sh***t
Ride on the mode
