Islam for Muslims / Karamat (miracles) Experienced By Of Some Of  The Salaf (pious Predecessors) by balash(m): 6:30am On Jul 21, 2017
Abu Bakr
----------
Once Hadhrat Abu Bakr radiyAllaahu unhu was eating with 3 of his guests. Whenever he would lift some food from the utensil, more of that
food would appear from below it. When those present noticed this, he presented the food to Rasulullah sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam, who then fed a large number of people from it.

Hadhrat Khubaib
--------------------
When Hadhrat Khubaib radiyAllaahu unhu was a prisoner of the kuffaar in Makkah Mukarramah, he was miraculously given grapes at such a time when grapes were not available in Makkah Mukarramah.

Aamir bin Fuhaira
---------------------

When Aamir bin Fuhaira was martyred, his body miraculously ascended to the sky. The kuffaar could therefore, not find his body. Aamir bin Tufail witnessed the body being lifted up.

Hadhrat Safeenah
-----------------------
Safeenah (ra) narrates: A lion advanced towards me, so I said: O lion, I am the freed slave of Rasulullah sallAllaahu alaybi wa sallam.”
It then lowered its head and advanced To direct me, It would nudge me with its shoulder. This continued until it escorted me out of the jungle, left me on the road and snarled. I understood that it was now going to leave me.

Baraa bin MaaIik
--------------------

Whenever Baraa bin MaaIik used to entreat Allaah Ta’ala to fulfil some need, Allaah Ta’ala would readily accept his plea. Whenever the Muslims would experience a difficulty on the battlefield, they would ask Baraa to entreat Allaah Tatala to aid them. They would then defeat the enemy. During the incident of Qaadisiyáh; he entreated Allaah Ta’ala to be sufficient for them; and that he be granted Shahaadat. He became a Shaheed on that occasion.

Khalid bin Waleed
---------------------

Once Hadhrat Khalid bin Waleed radiyAllaahu imhu besieged a fort. The occupants refused to surrender unless he drank poison. He drank it and was unharmed.

Umar
------------
Hadhrat Umar radiyaliahu unhu once dispatched an army under the leadership of a person named Saariyah. On one occasion, whilst Hadhrat
Umar radiyAllaahu unhu was delivering the khutbah (in Madinah Munawwarah), he began calling out: O Saariyah, the mountain! 0 Saariyah,
the mountain!” When the messenger of that army returned, he said: 0 Ameerul Mu’mineen, when we engaged the enemy they initially overpowered us. All of a sudden we heard a person calling out: ‘0 Saariyah, the mountain! 0 Saariyah, the mountain!’ We then used the mountain as our rear support, and Allaah Ta’ala caused the enemy to be defeated.”

Usaid bin Hudair (ra)
--------------------------
Once, while Usaid bin Hudair (ra) was seated in his animal-pen reciting [the Quraan], his horse became agitated and began roving around. It did so a second time. but he continued reciting. He says: I then feared that the horse may trample Yahya (his son). I stood up to see what it was that was agitating the horse, and all of a sudden there appeared to be a cloud above
my head, in which were lanterns suspended in the air, for as far as I could see Rasulullah sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam said: They were angels who had come to listen to you. If you had continued
reciting, the people would have seen them in the morning with the naked eye.”

Hadbrat Zunairah
----------------------
When Hadbrat Zunairah radiyAllaahu anha was persecuted and
tortured because of her Islam, she refused to relinquish the Deen. Because
of the torture, she lost her eyesight. Upon this the mushrikeen retorted:
“Laat and Uzzah (two idols) have snatched her eyesight.” She replied: “By
Allaah, never.” So Allaah Ta’ala restored her eyesight.

Hadhrat A’ala bin Hadhrami
--------------------------------

Hadhrat A’ala bin Hadhrami radiyAllaahu unhu was Rasulullah sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam ‘s governor over Bahrain. When he used to make dua he used to exclaim: “0 Allaah, The most knowledgeable One! 0 The Most Forbearing! 0 the Most Lofty! 0 the Most Exalted!” His dua would be accepted. Once when water was not available, he made dua in this manner and his desire was fulfilled. On another occasion he made dua when the Muslims could not cross the sea on their horses.
Thereafter they passed over the water without even the saddles of the horses becoming wet. He also made dua that no one should see his body when he dies. After his burial, they did not find him in his grave.

Umme Aiman
---------------------
Hadhrat Umme Aiman radiyAllaahu unha migrated without any provisions. She was also fasting. At the time of iftaar she heard a sound above her head. When she raised her head she found a suspended bucket of water. She drank from it until she was quenched. For the rest of her life she never felt thirsty again.

Abu Muslim Khawaani
-----------------------------
He and his army walked over the Tigris river, while it, due to it’s rising waters, and was spilling forth debris. He then turned to his companions and asked: “Are any of you missing any item so that I may make dua for it “.One of them replied: “My (horse’s) nosebag is missing”. He said: “Follow me.” He followed him and found the nosebag caught on something.

Abu Muslim Khawaani
---------------------------
Aswad Anasi (the false claimant of prophethood) once asked Abu Musa Khiwaani: “Do you believe I am the rasool of Allaah?”
(na’uthubillah). He replied “I cannot hear”. He (Aswad) then asked:” Do you bear witness that Muhammad sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam is the
Rasool of Allaah.” He replied:” Yes”. Aswad then threw him into a fire and found him standing in the fire performing Salaah while the fire was cool for him.
When Abu Musa radiyAllaahu wihu arrived in Madina Munawwarah after the demise of Rasulullah Sallalahu alayhi wa sallam, Hadhrat Umar made
him sit between him and Abu Bakr radiyAllaahu unhuma, and said: “All praise is due to Allaah Ta’ala who has kept me alive to see such a person from the Ummah of rasulullah sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam who had experienced that which Hadhrat Ibraheem alayhissalaam had experienced.”
On another occasion his slave girl poisoned his food but it did not harm him.

Abdullah bin Abbaas
--------------------------
Abbaas radiyAllaahu unhu once sent his son Abdullah radiyAllaahu unhu to Rasulullah sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam for some work, but he found Rasulullah sallAllaahu alayhi wasallam busy with a man, so he returned without speaking to him. Abbaas (ra) asked: Did you see the man” He said: “Yes”. Abbaas (ra) said: That was Jibraeel alayhissallaam. He who has seen Jibraeel alayhissalaam will not die until he loses his eyesight and be granted vast knowledge.” It is well known that Abdullah bin Abbaas (ra) became Hibrul
Unmmah - a most distinguished Aaalim, even amongst the Sahaabah (ra). During his old age he lost his eyesight. This prediction was thus fulfilled.]

Abu Umaamah(ra)
---------------------------

said to his son Abu Umaamah (ra): Oh my son, if only you had seen us on the day of Badr, pointing our swords towards the head of a mushrik, and his head would fall from his body before our swords would reach him.”

The Janaazah of Ihn Abbaas (ra) and the Bird
-----------------------------------------------------
Ibn Abbaas (ra) passed away in Taif. A strange bird, the likeness of which was never seen before, was present at his janazah. It entered his body, but none had seen it coming out. When he was buried, this Aayah was heard at the side of his grave, but none knew who recited it. "Oh the tranquil soul! Return to your Rabb (Lord) in a state of you being pleased with Him and He being pleased with you."

Umar (ra) Vanquishes a Jinn
---------------------------------
Ibn Mas’ood (ra) narrates that a Jinn wrestled thrice with Umar (ra), and on each occasion he dropped it. The Jinn then asked: Do you read Aayatul
Kursi? He replied: “Yes”.
The jinn said: Whenever you read it in any home, the Shayaateen will depart with such speed that they will produce a sound like that of one
passing wind from the rear, and they will not return until the morning.

Hamzah bin Amr Al-Aslamee
------------------------------------
Hamzah bin Amr Al-Aslamee radiyAllaahu unhu says:
We were once with Rasulullah sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam, We then dispersed into a pitch-dark night. My fingers began to glow, so much that the people gathered around.
Note: Hamzah used to fast abundantly.

Abu Huraira (ra) narrates: Alaa al-Hadrami (ra)
---------------------------------------------------

once made dua for rain, and it rained in the arid desert. After his death and burial, within a short period his grave was opened, but his body could not be found.
On one occasion, he made Du’a: "O Allaah The Most Knowledgeable! 0 The Most Forbearing! O The Most Lofty”’
The Gulf then, by the permission of Allaah, allowed them to cross over.
They gently trotted over as if on sand. Water did not touch the feet of the camels, nor the knees of the horses. In this way they traversed a distance that normally took a day and night by boat.
Crossing the Tigris River
The Muslim army once crossed over the Tigris River during its flood.
They passed over on the surface of the water. When the Persians saw this, they fled shouting: “The madmen have come!”

Graves like Musk
-------------------------
A person once took a handful of sand from the grave of Sad bin Mu’aaz (ra) and when he opened his hand he suddenly found the soil had become
musk. Upon this Rasulullah sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam said:
SubhaanAllaah! SubhaanAllaah!... . His delight was apparent from His noble countenance.
Wasps Protect the Body of Aasin
Aasim bin Abil Aqlah beseeched Allaah Ta’ala that he should not touch any mushrik nor should any mushrik touch him When he passed away.
Allaah Ta’ala sent a cloud of wasps over his body, which protected him from the mushrikeen. This is why he was also referred to as Hamyuddubur
(the one protected by the wasps).

Umar bin Khattab
--------------------
Narrated by 'Abdullah bin 'Umar:
I never heard 'Umar saying about something that he thought it would be so-and-so, but he was quite right. Once, while 'Umar was sitting, a handsome man passed by him, 'Umar said, "If I am not wrong, this person is still on his religion of the pre-lslamic period of ignorance or he was their foreteller. Call the man to me." When the man was called to him, he told him of his thought. The man said, "I have never seen such a day on which a Muslim is faced with such an accusation." 'Umar said, "I am determined that you should tell me the truth." He said, "I was a foreteller in the pre-lslamic period of ignorance." Then 'Umar said, "Tell me the most astonishing thing your female Jinn has told you of." He said, "One-day while I was in the market, she came to me scared and said, 'Haven't you seen the Jinns and their despair and they were overthrown after their defeat (and prevented from listening to the news of the heaven) so that they (stopped going to the sky and) kept following camel-riders (i.e. 'Arabs)?" 'Umar said, "He is right." and added, "One day while I was near their idols, there came a man with a calf and slaughtered it as a sacrifice (for the idols).
An (unseen) creature shouted at him, and I have never heard harsher than his voice. He was crying, 'O you bold evil-doer! A matter of success! An eloquent man is saying: None has the right to be worshipped except you (O Allah).' On that the people fled, but I said, 'I shall not go away till I know what is behind this.' Then the cry came again: 'O you bold evil-doer! A matter of success! An  eloquent man is saying: None has the right to be worshipped except Allah.' I then went away and a few days later it was said, "A prophet has appeared."  (Bukhari,Volume 5, Book 58, Number 206)
Sustenance From an Inconceivable Source

Abu Hurairah (ra) narrates:
--------------------------------

A Sahabi came home to his family and found them in dire need of food. He then went out into the desert. When his wife saw this, she took her hand-mill and placed it on her clay oven. She turned the mill and pleaded: “Oh Allaah! Grant us sustenance.” All of a sudden she found the container to be full. She also found the clay-oven to be full.
I (Abu Hurairah) mentioned this to Rasulullah SallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam who said: “If she did not open the container, the mill would have continued to turn and produce flour until the day of Qiyaamah.”
Hisham bin ‘Aas says:
When we were sent to the emperor of Rome, we proclaimed to him: “La ilaaha illAllaah wAllaahu akbar. When we did so, the chamber (of the emperor) collapsed. And Allaah knows best.

Abu Kurfusah
---------------------
One of the Sons of Abu Kurfusa (ra) was captured by the Romans. When the time of each Salaah would approach, Abu Kurfusa would climb the wall of the town of Askalaan and call out: 0 so and so! It is the time of Salaah. His son would hear it in Rome a vast distance away.

Khalid bin Waleed (ra)
---------------------------
A man came to Khalid bin Waleed (ra) with a water bag full of wine.
Khalid (ra) said: Oh Allaah, make it honey.
It turned into honey.
According to another narration, a man passed by Khalid (ra) with a water bag full of wine. He asked: What is this. The man replied: Vinegar. Khalid (ra) said: Indeed Allaah has made it into vinegar.
He then found it to be vinegar, whereas it had previously been wine.

A Miracle of Husain (ra)
-------------------------------
A man once relieved his call of nature on the grave of Husain (ra), son of Ali (ra). His household was then afflicted with mental derangement, leprosy, white-liver (a disease) and poverty.
Abdul Mali asked Ruhr: Can you inform me what sign occurred on the day Husain (ra) was martyred.
He replied: None of the pebbles of Baitul-Maqdis were lifted, except that blood was found under it.
He also narrates: On that day, no stone in Shaam Syria remained without blood on it.
Both Umme Salmah and Maymoona radiyallaliu unhuma said that they heard the jinns wailing at the death of Husain radiyAllaahu unhu.

A Miracle of Uthmaan
---------------------------
One morning Uthmaan (ra) said: Last night I saw Rasulullah sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam in my dream, and he said: Oh Uthmaan, break your fast with us. He was martyred that same day, whilst in the state of fasting.

Umm Malik
--------------------
Jabir reported that Umm Malik used to send clarified butter in a small skin to the Apostle of Allah (may peace be upon him). Her sons would come to her and ask for seasoning when they had nothing with them (in the form of condiments) and she would go to that (skin) in which she offered (clarified butter) to Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him), and she would find in that clarified butter and it kept providing her with seasoning for her household until she had (completely) squeezed it. She came to Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him) and (informed him about it).
Thereupon, he (the Holy Prophet) said: Did you squeeze it? She said: Yes. Thereupon he said: If you had left it in that very state, it would have kept on provid- ing you (the clarified butter) on end.
(Sahih Muslim, Book 30, Number 5660)

The Army of Abu Ubaidah
------------------------------
Jaabir (ra) narrates: Rasulullah sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam dispatched us [i.e. our army] and appointed Abu Ubaidah (ra) our ameer. We were to capture a caravan of the Quraish. He provided us with a bag of dates. This was all we had with us. Abu Ubaidah (ra) used to give us a date each, We used to suck that one date, then sip some water. This would suffice for the whole day. We used to strike the leaves with our sticks, moisten and eat them. The sea sent forth for us a huge fish, from which we ate for 18 nights. The fish was so huge that Abu Ubaidah (ra) made 13 of us sit in its eye-socket. When a rib of this fish was held upright, the largest camel together with the tallest rider passed under it without him having to bow his head.

Zaid bin Khaarijah Speaking after Death
-----------------------------------------------
Sa’eed bin Musayyib (ra) narrates: When Zaid bin Khaarijah passed away during the khilaafat of Uthmaan (ra) he was shrouded with a clothe. The people then heard a reverberating sound from his chest. He then said:
"Ahmad . . .Ahmad in the first book. Abu Bakr has spoken the truth, spoken the truth; Umar has spoken the truth, spoken the truth. Uthmaan has spoken the truth, spoken the truth.”
Sad narrates: Thereafter a man from the Barn Khitmah clan passed away and was shrouded in a cloth. Here also a reverberating sound was heard from his chest and he then spoke:
"The brother of Banil-Haarith bin Khazraj (referring to Zaid in the previous
incident) has spoken the truth, spoken the truth.”

The Martyrs of Uhud
--------------------------
Jaabir (ra) narrates: When Mu’aawiyah (ra) constructed a canal, it passed through the graves of the martyrs of Uhud. We therefore removed their bodies, after 40 years, finding them soft and fresh, their limbs easily folding.
According to another narration, while digging the canal a pick hit the foot of Hadhrat Hamzah (ra), and it began to bleed.
Amr bin Jamooh and Abdullah bin Amr (ra) were both buried in one grave. Floodwaters threatened to flood out their grave. The people
exhumed them to transfer their bodies. They found that they had not changed. It appeared as if they had been buried yesterday. This occurred 46 years after Uhud.
Islam for Muslims / The Story Of Habil And Qabil (abel And Cain),the First Crime On Earth by balash(m): 5:53am On Jul 21, 2017
Allah the Almighty says:
{And (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him» recite to them (the Jews) the story of the two sons of Adam (Habil and Qabil) in truth; when each offered a sacrifice (to Allah), it was accepted from the one but not from the other. The latter said to the former: "I will surely kill
you." The former said: "Verily, Allah accepts only from those who are Al-Muttaqun (the pious)." "If you do stretch your hand against me to kill me, I shall never stretch my hand against you to kill you: for I fear Allah, the Lord of the `Alamin (mankind, jinn, and all that exists)."
"Verily, I intend to let you draw my sin on yourself as well as yours, then you will be one of the dwellers of the Fire; and that is the recompense of the Zalimin (polytheists and wrong-doers);" So the Nafs (self) of the other (latter one) encouraged him and made fair-seeming to him the murder of his brother; he murdered him and became one of the losers; Then Allah sent a crow who scratched the ground to show him to hide the dead body of his brother; He (the murderer) said: "Woe to me! Am I not even able to be as this crow and to hide the dead body of my brother?" Then he became one of those who regretted}. (Al--Ma'idah, 27-31)

Narrated As-Sadiy on the authority of Abu Malik and Abu Salih after Ibn 'Abbas (May Allah be pleased with him) and on the authority of Ibn Mas`ud and other Companions that Adam (Peace be upon him) used to get the male brought by one birth married to the female brought by the other. Hence, it was supposed that Abel would get married to Cain's sister who was better and more beautiful than anyone else. At the same time, Cain wanted to keep her for himself. Adam (Peace be upon him) ordered him to allow' Abel to marry her, but he totally refused. Then, Adam (Peace be upon him) ordered both (Abel and Cain) to offer
a sacrifice to Allah Almighty. Meanwhile, Adam set forth towards Mecca to perform Pilgrimage. Just before leaving, Adam tried to entrust (the affairs of) his children to the heavens, the earth and finally to the mountains, but all declined to shoulder the (heavy) trust. Thereupon, Cain accepted the trust and after Adam went away they (Abel and Cain) offered their sacrifices to Allah. Abel offered a fat she-goat, while Cain offered a bundle of bad plants. Later, a fire came down from heaven and consumed the sacrifice offered by Abel and left untouched that of Cain. Cain became livid with rage and said to his brother: I will kill you so as not to marry my sister, Abel said: {Verily, Allah accepts only
from those who are Al-Muttaqun (the pious)}.
'Abdullah Ibn `Amr (May Allah be pleased with both of them) said: By Allah! The murdered (Abel) was stronger (than the murderer, Cain), but he refused to stretch his hand against his brother to kill him due to his piety and God-fearing.
Abu Ja`far Al-Baqir mentioned that Adam (Peace be upon him) was present there when they offered their sacrifices. After Abel's sacrifice was accepted, Cain said to his father, Adam: "It was accepted only from him because you invoked Allah for his sake." And, he secretly intended something against his brother. One day, Abel was late and Adam sent Cain to look for him. The two brothers met and Cain said: "Your sacrifice was accepted and mine was not." Abel said: "{Verily, Allah accepts only from those who are Al-Muttaqun (the pious)}." Cain got angry and hit his brother with an iron rod and Abel fell dead
at once. It was said: Cain killed Abel by throwing a rock at his head while he was asleep. It was also said: Cain choked Abel violently and bit him to death as beasts do. However, Abel's saying when Cain threatened to kill him: {If you do stretch your hand against me to kill me, I shall never stretch my hand against you to kill you: for I fear Allah, the Lord of the" Alamin (mankind, jinn, and all that exists)} (Al-Ma'idah, 28) indicated his good morals and ethics, his fear from Allah, and perfect piety that he may harm his brother, in contrast with the odious deed intended by his brother, Cain. For this,Abu Bakrah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported Allah's Messenger (Peace be upon him) as saying: "'When two Muslims confront each other and the one amongst them attacks his brother with a weapon, both of them get into Hell-Fire.' He (Ahnaf, one of the sub-narrators) said: 'I said, or it was said: Messenger of Allah! It may be the case of one who kills, but what about the slain (why he would be put in Hell-Fire)?' Thereupon, he (Peace be upon him) said: 'He also intended to kill his companion. "
Allah the Almighty says: {Verily, I intend to let you draw my sin (on
yourself) as well as yours, then you will be one of the denizens of the
Fire; and that is the recompense of the Zalimun (polytheists and
wrong-doers)}. (Al-Ma'idah, 29) i.e. I do not intend to fight against you though I am myself far stronger and tougher than you are, but you will {draw my sin on yourself as well as yours}, i.e. you will bear the sin of murdering me along with your previous sins.
{As for the Prophetic Hadith that was transmitted by some other narrators that reads: "The killer will bear all sins of the slain", no one even knows its degree of validity: whether it be Authentic, Good, or even Weak. It cannot be found in any of the Prophetic Hadith Compilations}.

Narrated Imam Ahmed, Abu Dawud and At-Tirmidhi on the authority of Sa'd Ibn Abu Waqqas his statement upon the ordeal of `Uthman Ibn `Affan that reads: I testify that Allah's Messenger (Peace be upon him) said: "There will be soon a period of turmoil in which the one who sits will be better than one who stands and the one who stands will be better than one who walks and the one who walks will be better than one who runs." Someone said: 'Allah's Messenger! What is your opinion if someone entered my home and stretched his hand to kill me?'
Allah's Messenger (Peace be upon him) said: 'Be just like the son of Adam (Abel).
"Narrated by Ibn Mardwiyah after Hudhaifah Ibn Al- Yaman in another wording as saying: "Be just like the best of Adam's two sons."
Imam Ahmed transmitted after Mu`awiyah and Waki` their saying: We were told by Al- A ` mash on the authority of `Abdullah Ibn Murrah after Masruq after `Abdullah Ibn Mas`ud (May Allah be pleased with him) as saying: The Prophet (Peace be upon him) said, "None (no human being) is killed or murdered (unjustly), but a part of responsibility for the crime is laid on the first son of Adam who invented the tradition of killing (murdering on earth). " (Ahmed's Musnad) However, there is a cave, called the "Blood Cave", in a mountain located to the northern part of Syria. It is thought to be the scene of the crime where Cain killed his brother Abel. The people living there came to know this through the People of the Book (Christians and Jews) and only Allah Almighty knows the validity or realness of this. .Al-Hafiz Ibn `Asakir mentioned in the biography of Ahmed Ibn Katheer that "He (Ahmed) saw in a dream Allah's Messenger (Peace be upon him), Abu Bakr, `Umar and Abel. Ahmed came to know from Abel -who took an oath of that- it was his own blood (that was spilt there (in that very cave)). Abel said that he had asked Allah Almighty to make the invocations and supplications offered in that place acceptable. Allah accepted his own invocations and His Messenger, Muhammad (Peace be upon him) believed in that and said: I
(Allah's Messenger), Abu Bakr and `Umar used to visit that place every Thursday. "However, it is to be stated that this narration represents only a vision. Even if it were true, no religious ruling can ever be based on such a thing; and Allah knows best! Allah Almighty says: {Then, Allah sent a crow who scratched the ground to show him how to hide the dead body of his brother. He (the murderer) said: "Woe to me! Am I not even able to be as this crow and to hide the dead body of my brother? "Then he became one of those who regretted}. (Al-Ma'idah, 31) Some interpreters said: "After Cain had killed

his brother, he carried him on his back for a full year (not knowing what to do with his brother's corpse!)." Others said: He carried him on his back for one hundred years till Allah Almighty sent two crows who fought against one another. One of them was killed. The murderer scratched the ground to hide the body of the dead crow. Seeing him doing that, Cain said: Woe to me! Am I not even able to do as this crow and to hide the dead body of my brother? Then, he buried the body of his dead brother and covered it with earth. Historians said: Adam became very sick at heart and felt great sorrow for his
dead son, Abel. Mujahid said: Cain was brought punishment very soon afterwards. On the same day he killed his brother, Abel, his foot was tied up to his thighbone and his face was forcibly directed up to the sun disk. His face used to go where the sun goes as a way of punishment and penalty in return for what he had done to his own brother. Allah's Messenger (Peace be upon him) said:
"There is no sin more recurring punishment (very rapidly) in the present life,
along with what awaits for its doer in the Hereafter, than transgression and
severing the ties of relationship. "
Imam Abu J a' far mentioned in his Tarikh "History" on the authority of some people who had said: Eve gave birth to forty children through twenty births. Ibn Ishaq viewed the same and he mentioned their names in detail. However, nothing is sure of their names or numbers. Only Allah knows best and no one else can know their exact number! Others said: there were one hundred and twenty births, in each one a male and a female were born. The first among them
were Cain and his sister Qalimah, and the last ones were `Abdul Mughith and his sister Ummul Mughith. Then, humans increased in number and spread into the earth. Allah Almighty says: {O mankind! Be dutiful to your Lord, Who created you from a single person (Adam), and from him (Adam) He created his wife [Hawwa (Eve)], and from them both He created many men and women; and fear Allah through Whom you demand (your mutual rights), and (do not cut the relations of) the wombs (kinship). Surely, Allah is Ever an All-Watcher over you}. (An-Nisa', 1)
Historians said: Adam did not die till he saw from among his progeny and offspring four hundred thousand persons (400.000). Only Allah knows best!
Allah, the Almighty says: {It is He Who has created you from a single
person (Adam), and (then) He has created from him his wife [Hawwa'
(Eve)], in order that he might enjoy the pleasure of living with her.
When he had sexual relation with her, she became pregnant and she
carried it about lightly. Then when it became heavy, they both invoked
Allah, their Lord (saying): "If You give us a Salih (good in every aspect)
child, we shall indeed be among the grateful." But when He gave them a Salih (good in every aspect) child, they ascribed partners to Him (Allah) in that which He has given to them. High be Allah, Exalted above all that they ascribe as partners to Him}. (Al-A'raf, 189, 190)
Adamwas mentioned first to draw the attention of the reader of the Qur'an, then whom was mentioned second was the whole race of mankind. This is done by way of mentioning the whole race of mankind after mentioning the forefather thereof; Allah the Almighty says: {And indeed We created man (Adam) out of an extract of clay (water and earth). Thereafter We made him (the offspring of Adam) as a Nutfah (mixed drops of the male and female sexual discharge and lodged it) in a safe lodging (Womb of the woman)}. (Al-Mu'minun, 12, 13); and in: {And indeed We have adorned the nearest heaven with lamps, and We have made such lamps (as) missiles to drive away the Shayatin (devils)}. (Al-Mulk, 5) Where it is wellknown that the "lamps as missiles" are not the same as lamps of adornment, but He turned from a single category or person to the whole race.
Adam (Peace be upon him) was. the father of mankind. He was created by the Hand of Allah Who breathed out of His Soul into him, Who made the Angels prostrate themselves before him, Who taught him names of everything, and Who made him dwell in His spacious Paradise. Narrated Ibn Hibban in his Sahih on the authority of Abu Dharr his saying: "I said, 0 Allah's Messenger! How many were the Prophets of Allah?' He (Peace be upon him) said: 'One hundred twenty-four thousands.' I said: 'O Allah's Messenger! How many were the Messengers among them?' He (Peace be upon him) said: 'Three hundred and thirteen, a great number!' I said: 'O Allah's Messenger! Who was the first among them? 'He (Peace be upon him) said: 'Adam.' I said: 'O Allah's Messenger! Was he a Prophet sent with a Message?' He (Peace be upon him) said: 'Yes, Allah the Almighty created him with His Hand, then, breathed into him out of His Soul, then, He fashioned him (in a very proper manner). "
In the Night Journey Hadith that can be found in the two Sahihs -Al-Bukhari and Muslim        Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) said: "So the gate was opened and we went over the nearest heaven and there we saw a man sitting with some people on his right and some on his left. When he looked towards his right, he laughed and when he looked towards his left he wept. Then he said,
'Welcome! 0 pious Prophet and pious son!' I asked Gabriel: 'Who is he?' He replied: 'He is Adam and the people on his right and left are the souls of his offspring. Those on his right are the people of Paradise and those on his left are the people of Hell and when he looks towards his right he laughs and when he looks towards his left he weeps. "
(Al-Bukhari and Muslim)
Regarding the Prophetic Hadith that reads: "Then, I passed by Yusuf (Joseph) and I found him to be granted half of beauty."Some scholars explained that it means that he was given half of the beauty Adam was granted. Indeed, this is very suitable and convincing! That Allah, the Almighty created Adam, fashioned him by His Hand and breathed into him out of His Soul, for all these Allah the Almighty must have created the best of all things. It was narrated on the authority of `Abdullah Ibn 'Umar and' Abdullah Ibn 'Amr that: When Allah the Almighty created Paradise, the Angels said: "'Our Lord! Make this for us for You created for mankind the present world in which they eat and drink.' Allah the Almighty said: 'By My Glory and Loftiness! I will not equalize between the pious from among those whom I created with My Hand, and those whom When I said "Be ", they were!" It was narrated in the two Sahihs-Bukhari and Muslim that Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported Allah's Messenger (Peace be upon him) as saying: Allah, the Exalted and Glorious created Adam in His own image with His length of sixty cubits, and as He created him He told him to greet that group, and that was a party of angels sitting there, and listen to the response that they give him, for it would form his greeting and that of his offspring. Adam then addressed them: Peace be upon you! They (the angels) said: May there be peace upon you and the Mercy of Allah, and they made an addition of "Mercy of Allah ". So he who would get into Paradise would get in the form of Adam, his length being sixty cubits, then the people who followed him continued to diminish in size up to this day. "(Al-Bukhari and Muslim)

Islam for Muslims / The Means Of Developing Khushoo'(calmness) In Salah by balash(m): 5:17am On Jul 21, 2017
Salaah is the greatest of the practical pillars of Islam, and khushoo’ in prayer is required by sharee’ah. When Iblees, the enemy of Allaah, vowed to mislead and tempt the sons of Adam and said “Then I will come to them from before them and behind them, from their right and from their left…” [al-A’raaf 7:17, interpretation of the meaning], one of his most significant plots became to divert people from salaah by all possible means and to whisper to them during their prayer so as to deprive them of the joy of this worship and cause them to lose the reward for it.

The site of khushoo’(in the body) is the heart, and its effects are manifested in the physical body. The various faculties follow the heart: if the heart is corrupted by negligence or insinuating whispers from Shaytaan, the worship of the body’s faculties will also be corrupt.

Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “Successful indeed are the believers, those who offer their salaah (prayers) with all solemnity and full submissiveness.” [al-Mu’minoon 23:1-2] – i.e., fearing Allaah and in a calm manner. Khushoo’ means calmness, serenity, tranquillity, dignity and humility. What makes a person have this khushoo’ is fear of Allaah and the sense that He is always watching. (Tafseer Ibn Katheer, Daar al-Sha’b edn., 6/414). Khushoo’ means that the heart stands before the Lord in humility and submission. (al-Madaarij, 1/520).

Making a show of khushoo’ is condemned.
Hudhayfah (may Allaah be pleased with him) used to say: “Beware of the khushoo’ of
hypocrisy.” He was asked, “What is the khushoo’ of hypocrisy?” He said, “When the body shows khushoo’ but there is no khushoo’ in the heart.” Fudayl ibn ‘Ayaad said: “It was disliked for a man to show more khushoo’ than he had in his heart.” One of them saw a man showing khushoo’ in his shoulders and body, and said, “O So and so, khushoo’ is here” – and he pointed to his chest, “not here” – and he pointed to his shoulders. (al-Madaarij, 1/521)

Allaah tells us
(interpretation of the meaning): “And seek help in patience and al-salaah (the prayer), and truly it is extremely heavy and hard except for al-khaashi’oon [i.e., the true believers, those who obey Allaah with full submission, fear much from His Punishment, and believe in His Promise and in His Warnings]” [al-Baqarah 2:45].

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “The first thing to be lifted up (taken away) from this ummah will be khushoo’, until you will see no one who has khushoo’.” (Al-Haythami said in al-Majma’, 2/136: It was reported by al-Tabaraani in al-Kabeer, and its isnaad is hasan. See also Saheeh al -Targheeb, no. 543. He said it is saheeh).

Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah
(may Allaah have mercy on him) explained the things that help us to have khushoo’:
“Two things help us to [develop khushoo’]: a strong desire to do what is obligatory, and weakness of distractions. With regard to the first, the strong desire to do what is obligatory: [this means that] a person strives hard to focus on what he is saying and doing, pondering on the meanings of the Qur’an recitation, dhikr and du’aa’s, and keeping in mind the fact that he is speaking to Allaah as if he sees Him, for when he is standing in prayer, he is talking to his Lord.

With regard to the second, weakness of distractions:
This means striving to push away all distractions that make you think of something other than the prayer itself, and warding off thoughts that keep your mind off the purpose of the prayer. This is something which differs from one person to another, because the extent of waswaas has to do with the extent of one’s doubts and desires and the heart’s focus and dependence on what it loves, and its efforts to avoid what it dislikes.”

Preparing oneself for prayer properly
---------------------------------------------

Moving at a measured pace during prayer

Remembering Death whilst Praying

Knowing that Allah Responds to Prayer

Praying with a barrier ( Sutrah) and praying close to it

Placing right hand on the left hand on your chest

Looking at the place of prostration

Performing sujood al-tilaawah when reciting an aayah where this is required

Seeking refuge from Allah From Shaytaan

Knowing the advantage of khushoo in salaah

Striving to offer du’aa’ at the appropriate times during the prayer, especially in sujood

Removing anything that might distract the worshippers

praying in a garment that has decorations, writing, bright colours or pictures that will distract the worshipper

Adhkar after Solaat

Not praying when there's food prepared to eat

Not praying when someone needs to answer call to nature

Avoid disturbing others with recitation

Do not pray while one feels sleepy

Not raising ones gaze to heavens

May Almighty Allah Answer our prayers and grant us our heart desires in this ummah

Politics / FG Offered Me Biafra Without Rivers, Benue — Nnamdi Kanu by balash(m): 11:55am On Jul 20, 2017
UMUAHIA—THE leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, yesterday, disclosed that the Federal  Government offered him Biafra Republic while in Prison with only the five South East States as the component parts but he rejected it. According to him, he rejected it because that did not constitute the complete Biafra, saying that he told them that he wanted a Biafra with Rivers and Benue States inclusive. The IPOB leader also claimed that he was offered an oil block and mansion in Dubai aimed at making him to abandon the cause but that he rejected them and insisted on the actualization of Biafra.

Kanu said those things were Greek gifts to buy him over and maintained that he has no price other than to actualize the restoration of Biafra Republic and liberate the Igbo. “They gave me Biafra in prison with only the five Igbo states; I said no, I want Benue and Rivers”, Kanu said, pointing out that “Biafra is coming, there is nothing to stop it”. Also yesterday, Anambra Governor, Chief Willie Obiano  rubbished the statement of IPOB that the November 18 gubernatorial election in the state would not hold. Speaking at the erosion site in Odume Obosi Layout in Idemili North Local Government , Obiano said IPOB  does not have the interest of the people they claim to be fighting for at heart. This is even as some former state governors  raised concerns over agitations by separatist movements in the country. Knocks Igbo leaders Kanu, who spoke when leaders of Igbo Civil Society Coalition led by Prof. Obasi Igwe paid him a solidarity visit at his Umuahia home, also gave knocks to Igbo elites for their anti-Biafra activities, saying that they have no interest in the Igbo masses. He lambasted Igbo elites who he said are bent on scuttling the Biafran agitation, saying they were doing so for their selfish interest and challenged them to show the Igbo masses what they have been able to do for them since their romance with Nigerian Government. He said they would not succeed. Kanu lamented the deplorable condition of roads in Igbo land and general lack of social amenities and wondered what the elites have been doing in Abuja other to fight for their self interests. He further dismissed Igbo elites whom he said had thought he could be bought over, saying he has no price tag. “They can’t buy us with money. If I can turn down oil block, turn down mansions in Dubai, what can they offer us? All the roads in Biafra land are in deplorable condition, yet we have elites who are just interested in their pockets. “All the roads in Biafra are bad. Apart from Okpara (late Michael Okpara), Mbonu Ojike and Sam Mbakwe, I have not seen any elite in Igbo land. Let them show us what they have done, no roads, no water, nothing. Because they are in Abuja, they are now elites, let them show us what they have done for the people as elites. “They said everything has price, I told them that Nnamdi Kanu has no price. All of you here know my wife, I sacrificed her for two years; so what can they offer me. “Self actualization is not war. We are not for war. We are not talking of war but self actualization. Self determination is not war. Any elite that interprets self determination to be war does not understand English. “Biafra is coming; there is nothing that can stop it, no matter the level of intimidation and blackmail. Some people are running around, saying why must it be Nnamdi Kanu, why not me. I am not an elite, I was born to restore Biafra. We are not interested in any violence, self actualization is not violence”, Kanu said. Adding to the IPOB leader’s statement, Media and Publicity Secretary for IPOB, Emma Powerful said  Kanu’s  position has always been clear. “Our leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu had discussion with government in prison   and he rejected every offer and demanded a referendum in all the states in South East and South South, including those of our brothers and sisters living in some parts of Benue, Edo and Kogi States. Federal Government should fix a particular date for the people to decide where they want to be. We cannot afford to abandon those in Igbanke, Igala, Idoma and Igede because they are Biafrans unless they decide otherwise. “To join or be part of Biafra is not by force but through referendum, we ascertain who wants to be part of Biafra or not.” In his remarks, the leader of the delegation, Prof. Obasi Igwe commended Kanu and IPOB for their non-violence approach to the agitation and urged him to maintain that approach. He said their aim of visiting him was to encourage him and urge him to ensure that the Igbos have one voice for peace and prosperity of Igbo nation, the entire Eastern region, southern region as well as the middle belt. In an interview, Prof. Igwe insisted on non-violence approach to the issue, and called for appropriate sanctions for the Arewa youths who gave the Igbo quit notice. Obiano replies IPOB In his reaction to IPOB’s statement on Anambra election, the visibly angry Governor Obiano said that “whoever that says there will be no election in the state and the South East in general is not carrying  the interest  of the people at heart and wants the thing that happened during the last census in which our people were not counted to happen again. “We will not allow what happen during the last census where our people were not counted to repeat itself. Due to MASSOB activities, our people were not counted and it affected the entire South east adversely. It will not happen again. We are still suffering it today because we were counted less than what we are. “People are free to vote the candidates of their choice. You can see that in Anambra state today, people now sleep with their two eyes closed”. He urged the people to vote for him come Nov 18th  for continuity. “We are not against our brothers in IPOB and MASSOB who are agitating for Biafra restoration, but they must apply caution and ensure that whatever they are doing are within the law. Election must hold in Anambra State and South East at the appointed time, nobody can stop elections in any part of South East.” Ex-govs call for calm over separatist agitations Members of the Forum of Former Governors, FFG, class of 1999,  said they were particularly worried by the call of the coalition of Northern Youths  for Igbos to vacate the north within three months. The Forum also called on governors of the south-east region to engage the agitators and diffuse the threats by the Indigenous People of Nigeria, IPOB in the region. In a statement signed by Lucky Igbinedion and Niyi Adebayo, the forum’s chairman and secretary respectively, the forum called for calm. “No sacrifice is too much to avert chaos, prevent any further incidence of criminality, protect human lives and spare the lives of the country,” the forum noted. They also urged Acting President Yemi Osinbajo to convene a joint meeting of the various patrons of the contending groups in which assurances could be given. “The elders and leaders of thought from both the South East and the North should jointly meet to state a common position; we further recommend that traditional rulers from the two areas should do same,” the ex-governors said. The meeting of the past governors was attended by Obong Victor Attah, James Ibori and Isa Yuguda, among others. If restructuring fails, we’ go for referendum— Ohanaeze But reacting through its National Deputy Publicity Secretary, Ohanaeze Ndigbo said its position on restructuring Nigeria is clear. “We don’t are not  talking  about  IPOB. Our position has been clear all these  while. Nigeria needs restructuring now. But if restructuring fails, then we will talk about referendum. We have realised that many people have been saying many things and some are claiming to be Ohanaeze. But our position is very clear. Restructure Nigeria now or deal with referendum.” Presidency sources however would not react to Nnamdi Kanu’s  claims when Vanguard contacted them yesterday ,  saying they don’t  want to dignify the IPOB leader  with a reaction over  his claims.

Travel / Going To Lagos Island Police Warns Motorists To Use Alternative Routes by balash(m): 11:18am On Jul 20, 2017
The Lagos State Police Command would like to inform the general public that as of 0100hrs of date, queue of tankers and trucks from Apapa Wharf Road is getting longer towards Alaka-Stadium/ Surulere Road. This might not be unconnected with the ongoing Apapa Road rehabilitation work and the slow pace of work at the Port, which resulted in great reduction in the number of trucks/tankers being handled on daily basis.

Consequently, it advised that Motorists going to Lagos Island use alternative routes. Meanwhile, the Command, in conjunction with other sister agencies are doing all the needful to ameliorate the situation.

Just because you went to a school and learnt something doesn't make it valid especially if it on issues that are open to interpretation.

They are to be viewed suspiciously. It is easy to turn personal opinions into religious ones, Quranic proofs or not. Very easy to manipulate religious text to align with personal convinction. I have seen too many especially with fatwas. Prooving or disproving matters like that is a purely academic exercise.

Food / 5 Nigerian Foods To Avoid Late At Night by balash(m): 6:41am On Jul 19, 2017
If you have had an extremely busy and long day, and you are finally free to eat at about 11pm, maybe, of course, it makes sense that you would want to gulp down a heavy meal to assuage the persisting hunger no matter how late in the day it is. Eating late at night is not a complete no-no as it is important to eat when you are hungry; you just have to be smart about
.

Contrary to popular belief, eating late at night does not necessarily make you add weight nor does it have any negative health implications. Eating the wrong foods with the wrong number of calories is what brings on all the extra weight and most times disrupts your sleep. Are you visiting or currently living in Nigeria and you have the habit of eating late at night? Rather than just opting for the nearest, tastiest-looking Nigerian food, take a look at a list of 5 Nigerian foods to avoid late at night.

*Amala and Ewedu* A food famous in the western region of the country, Amala and Ewedu is almost a staple on the menu of most Nigerian restaurants. While the soup is made with vegetable and spices, Amala is made with yam powder. They both form an appetizing combo, however, can be unfavorable to your stomach when consumed late in the night. Although the meal digests very easily, compared to other yam-based meals, it is urine inducing and can bring a lot of interruptions and discomfort to your sleep.

*Pepper soup* A favorite Nigerian meal usually served with rice or yam as a side, pepper soup seems to be the perfect meal for times you are hungry at night as it is perceived as a light meal, but you may actually want to step away from it when you are craving something to eat late at night. The pepper soup contains certain spices and peppers that may upset your stomach and chemicals that can also stimulate your senses, making it hard to fall asleep.

*Agege Bread* This would be easy to buy off of the streets if you getting back late and you know you would not have the energy to cook or microwave any major meal when you get home because it would be too late already. While Agege bread would be satisfying when eaten with tea, mayonnaise or butter late in the night, it contains a lot of carbohydrate and sugar that spikes up your blood sugar levels, causing your energy levels to spike and plummet, disrupting your sleep in the process. There is also a chance that you will likely wake up starving a few hours later or in the morning due to the overproduction of insulin the sugar triggers.

*Fries (yam, potatoes, akara)* If you have had dinner by 7 pm and you are still awake by 12pm and you are hungry, you may want to indulge in light finger food. The go to would be fried yam, plantain , potatoes or even akara. While this food may seem like a light meal, they actually are not. They are greasy heavy foods! They weigh on your stomach and take a while to digest, leaving you feeling tired and sluggish in the morning. Also, they do more harm to your sleep than good. You may have to deal with stomach pains, cramps, abdominal bloating, heartburn, and acid reflux, resulting in poor sleep quality.

*Ewa Agoyin* A meal made of beans paired with a spicy sauce made with Palm oil and dried crushed chilies, Ewa agoyin is very tasty but a horrible option for late-night snacking or eating. Not only can it trigger heartburn, as well as upset your stomach, it can totally sabotage a day of good eating and actually keep you from going to sleep.

Just because y'all think Dad looks unkempt doesn't mean that it is. It is basically societal bias.

People with dreadlocks wash their hair as frequently as people with normal hair. They oil their hair the same way you oil yours and they brush it they same way we comb our hair.

Dreadlock has nothing to do with barbing hair from birth or not. It is about non-combing or having the type of hair that is prone to tangles. Which means anyone could have dreddlocks and some probably find it easier to develop dreadlocks because of their hair type. Generally, people with curly hair are more prone to it and with the curly community, there are hair types that tangles immediately after combing sef.

Also, dreadlocks is English while Dada is Yoruba.

Stop this blind argument my sister, what's all this? The Dada we are talking about is the one from birth which they don't even pour water on it, dreadlocks is different, moreover u can't as a guy have dread and be praying. U gotta comb ur hair and oil them so it looks so clean and presentable. In Islam looking good and clean is part of sunnah, how many deadlocked dude are muslim? U can leave ur hair to any length and comb, u can even plait your hair as a muslim guy. But I can't defend dreadlocks
Romance / She Said, 'We Have Two Things Left To Do In Marriage' by balash(m): 7:13pm On Jul 16, 2017
*SHE SAID, 'WE HAVE TWO THINGS LEFT TO DO IN MARRIAGE'*

The *Lady:*'I have been dating this guy for more than 4 years now. There is nothing couples are doing in marriage we have not done. We have lived together, ate together, lost count on the number of time we have had sex together. I have done 3 abortions for him. We have business ventures together, we do have our bath together. There is nothing couples are doing that we are not doing sir'.

*Me*: So what do you both have left that you want to do in marriage if you do your wedding today?

*The Lady:* ' Sir, just 2 things left.

*Me*: Tell me those two things.

*The Lady*: To have children and to fight.

*Me*: Fight as how?

*The Lady:* We have never fought before. I do bottle up my anger because I have lost so much in the relationship, if I leave him, I will be at the loosing end.

But when we get married , he will know he married a lion. I am battle ready for him.

*That conversation up there is not a friction. It took place.*

What many single guys and ladies don't know is that, there is a whole lot of difference between single relationship and marriage.

Some of you don't have anything tangible you are going to do in marriage than to have children.

All the privileges, uniqueness, sacredness, sanctity , enjoyments of marriage, you are already exploring and enjoying it now in your dating adventure.

Lady, you have turned yourself to 'iyawo ile' in the 'face me face you' apartment of that guy. You are his cook, his mom, his bed mate, sex mate, you have moved your loads to his room one by one. You are all over him, showing desperation.

Dear guy, what exactly are you looking forward to in marriage? You are behaving to that lady as if you are her husband. You are tired of her unclothedness already.

*Nothing is exciting you about her again. 'see finish' is happening between the two of you. If you marry today, what's going to be a new thing to do as couples?*
*This is why guys dump ladies they date before marriage. Because he wants a new thing after using you the lady.*

Kissing is not new to the two of you. Your unclothedness is no more new to each other. Lady, nothing is trilling about your breasts again.

*You are not yet married, but your breasts has suffer in the hands of this boy*. Yet to breastfeed oo, yes, your breasts is already looking like that of a grandma. What is new I asked you? What sex position or style have you not done together?

May be like this lady in that conversation, the only two things left for many singles in relationship today is to have children and fight.

Some of you will see wrong thing that guy/lady is doing that you don't like, you will keep quiet and bottle your anger.

You won't fight and sought it out now, you are waiting to get into marriage and then start fighting. You have enjoyed all the 'peace ' of marriage in dating, only to get into marriage and start war.

Hear me well dear singles, don't cross some lines. You are not married until you are married!

Reserve romance, sex, physical intimacy, joint account, bathing together, wearing the same clothes, and many other things for marriage.

There should be some exciting things you are looking forward to do together as couples.

Don't do everything you should do in marriage in your courtship.

Have self control. Right thing done at a wrong time will make it a wrong thing!

Things that Allah made haram is in quran

5- Chapter: 5 , Verse: 3 Prohibited to you are dead animals, blood, the flesh of swine, and that which has been dedicated to other than Allah , and [those animals] killed by strangling or by a violent blow or by a head-long fall or by the goring of horns, and those from which a wild animal has eaten, except what you [are able to] slaughter [before its death], and those which are sacrificed on stone altars, and [prohibited is] that you seek decision through divining arrows. That is grave disobedience.and rest is halal.
and quran is complete stop making your life complicated and looking at sahi or fabricated hadith or fatwa or opinion of scholar’s. Follow Only the Qur'an or the Prophet sayings

Dude you're just being argumentative and it's clear you're not a Talib (student of knowledge). If you were you'd know that Islamqa merely provided their own Ijtihaad (Opinion) based on circumstantial evidence (i.e. labelling snakes evil), without a shred of corroborating evidence.

Where in the Qur'an and Hadeeth are snakes labelled evil? They're harmful, but evil?

Lastly, Islamqa will have biases, definitely, when it comes to making Ijitihaad on customs alien to their own. Arab scholars without ilm ul waqi (knowledge of current affairs) of Nigerian customs and traditions are prohibited from issuing fatawa through ijtihaad. They can only issue a fatwa when they have evidence from the two sources.

Bro I studied at Shaikh Muqbils (RH) academy and this is what we were taught.

Stop being a pain in my ass, am not asking for your bio-data. Since you are more knowledgeable counter my claim with EVIDENCE that shows I am wrong if you can't then we are done here. Have a good day the one who 'knows' more

Bro not everything on Islamqa is backed by hadith some are just fatwas conceived to solve a pertinent issues, derived from Fiqh al Waqi (knowledge of current affairs).

Arabs of old and new do not eat snakes and other types of animals. Therefore, these animals were not explicitly mentioned in the Sunnah in reference to consumption. Contemporary Scholars decide whether to prohibit these foods based on nakl (text) of old and new (i.e. fatwa).

In all what I am saying is that some fatwas can only be issued by established scholars of that region. Arab scholars might have an innate prejudice towards snakes as mentioned by Islamqa; snakes being evil... There is nothing in this universe that is purely evil.

Nigerian scholars are the ones to decide whether snakes are halal or haram, they know the customs of the people and transgressions. You cannot condemn the eating of snakes, rats, et al without sound Islamic text (Book of Allah and confirmed Sunnah) otherwise you are making life hard for the people.

I repeat again, I am not attacking you but I must refute wrong claims so that those reading will not feel confused. No man is an island and no man is perfect.

You making it all wrong in all perspective with the views of segregation, Do u mean there are some meals that can't be eaten in the Arab countries but if our scholars backed them up to be eaten here we should, you sounding like the Qur'an and hadith used in the Arab countries are different from the ones used in Nigeria.

If you won't follow the backed up rulings in Saudi for example, would you create another ones.

Would this scholars post fatwa's that wasn't well studied and versed before putting it online such for the whole world to see and you believe it won't be countered, some of my post from islamaq is actually done so that people can go search about it and be referenced to islamaq not because am trying to form any sheikh and from all your posts you've not yet countered my claim with evidence that I was wrong about not eating snake with the Qur'an or hadith evidence, abi u have another book you follow?

Cause this your defense is sickening already telling me what Arabs don't eat as a muslim with backed up fatwa should be deliberated here first before we eat then.

Bro you merely copied and pasted an answer from Islamqa fatwa database. I am not aware of any defacto hadith prohibiting the eating of snakes (without poison).

Btw this is not an attack or jab.

What has pasting backed hadith from islamaq gotta do with what we are discussing? Is it like the hadith on islamaq is not correct or you are finding ways to embarrass your muslim brother cause I don't get the meaning of this outburst? All the post here have always been 'hadith' 'buhkari' 'the Prophet saying s.a.w' you haven't seen where I formed answer and said it's sheikh balash hadith cause am merely confused on your outburst.

Whatsoever hatred you have against me, channel it into strength and also go islamaq find good contents and bring over here, people would be pleased to rest instead of your hate outburst ok!

May Almighty Allah Forgive me and u in our daily affairs and grant us our heart desires. Salaam

My guy quoting Imam Nawawis traditions is not classed as daleel so you have not brought daleel about prohibition of snakes as food.

U should check the post again! It was the Prophet sayings backed with the hadith. Read with perseverance before throwing jabs.

bro dont get it twisted, dreadlocks is not haram in Islam, even a muslim can grow his hair and even plait corn rows or braid it as long as its his natural hair. thats a popular misconception. trust me i was shocked when i saw it. i guess we Nigerians and Africans Generally have somehow mixed our cultures with islam too deeply that we dont know the clear dichotomy anymore. its always good to make researches and read wide.

Are u seriously reading our posts or not? We are talking of 'Dada' not 'dreadlocks' dreads are done, Dada is a form where hair wasn't barbed from birth, never washed, never combed and kept in whatever shape it comes out making it so unkept and unclean? Is that acceptable in Islam? Uncleanness

Islam is one but it is not about Arabs. Don't make such reference please

I don't see anywhere in your authorities where ‘fang' was mentioned. Neither the Quran nor the hadith mentioned fangs.

You are the one making a claim, it is up to you to prove it. What I did was to point out holes in your authorities.

Anyways, God knows best.

Are u actually joking or something?

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Every animal that has fangs is haraam.” (Reported by Muslim from the hadeeth of Abu Hurayrah, may Allaah be pleased with him). According to a hadeeth narrated by Abu Tha’labah al-Khashani (may Allaah be pleased with him), “the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) forbade the eating of every carnivorous animal that has fangs.”

I posted that up there and it was clear like the cloud.
