I was told by a friend that his friend was turned down on his way to boarding to Canada because he had one way ticket, this kind of embarrassment should not happen to someone relocating. the agency that bought my ticket is travelpaddy.com. i recommend them.
You are relocating. Thus you can travel with a one way ticket. People need to know their stuffs if not this airliners will tell you crap.
I was travelling to SA last week and the lady was asking for proof of funds. I told her bluntly. It is not your business. I have my Cards and Credit cards, so I do not need to travel with cash. When she saw I was grandstanding she just free the matter whereas another colleague Husband was told to go back to the bank to bring the cash of 3k USD he claims to have, he went (as a gentle guy) before he came back, they said they had closed checking in. He spent another 70k changing the ticket to SA. bottom line, don't let them tell you crap.
Moreso, when I was going to land in January, they asked to see ticket to ensure it is return, but when they saw the type of Visa that it was COPR - they said they don't need it to be a return ticket.
Bottomline, don't take BS from people who don't even know their left from their right.

So sorry. Gurus pls help ooooo, man down. Deep breaths, we are all going to Canada *tight hugs *
This is why I tell my clients. Upload only relevant documents. Old (expired) passport is no longer a valid document. Why presenting it? To show you are ajala travel? The VO might see that and just assume that was the passport uploaded and not see the current passport. I do not even travel with my expired passport, even with the multiple visas of countries on it. I always chuckle under my breath when I see people with 4 passports held together with rubberband. "Who are you trying to impress with your old passport" The immigration officer does not care or give a hoot.

You call still put a strong case forward that you uploaded a current passport and they will reconsider the cancellation. Draft the letter, I can help you review it and spice it up. Cheers

Things are really falling into place. Mississauga is the city i filled in my form as the city i want to settle. Thanks man. Please how much does one room self contained go for in mississauga? Thanks.
Hi Czar,
From my research, if you are single, you might want to go for a 2 bedroom and look for someone to share with.
One bedroom goes for average of 850 - 1000/1100 in Missi while 2 bedroom goes for 1200 - 1650. If you get someone reasonable (maybe JJC too) you both can share and cost will be like 500 - 650 per person.
Upside, you have someone to fraternise and una two fit dey tag along easily downside, if the person no like to pay bills and clean kitchen, you are in trouble....

hello friends... please I'm anxiously waiting for your advice... I have less than 11 days to submit my passports. I take God beg una.. I just don't want to take a decision I'll regret...
Pray about it and let God lead you to where you want.
If your friend support is good and they are willing to accomodate you to give you soft landing, you can go for that.
Nothing says you cannot toggle between provinces if you get a job in another place.

Yes 2 bags or 23kg each. Extra 23kg is 150 USD. With BA you can pre-purchase your excess luggage, it is about 30 dollars cheaper than paying at the airport

Blackbuddy:
It's 2 bags of 23kg each per passenger for most international airlines including Egypt Air.

After hearing from the two parties, I have decided to take the risk of going for WES.

I am the guy that asked question about discrepancy in DOB in Transcipt and Passport.

Someone allayed my fear by claiming that my transcript is not a requirement by CIC.

However, I would like to know if the age on the transcript will not be revealed by the WES report.

During the filling in of information on the WES profile, I was asked about DOB. I guess this should correspond to the one on the transcript to be submitted to avoid long thing.

I tried to inquire from the Exam and Records about the procedure for the change of DOB on the transcript but it seems na long thing.

I would have just filled the DOB on the transcript on WES profile then fill my passport DOB on CIC but I dey fear misrepresentation.

Is it possible to get an affidavit to correct this later?

What's the best approach here?

BR
WES will SURELY note the discrepancy on their report

Now we're more confused than when we first began! sad
I will pick WES over IQAS.
WES seems to be world coverage. If you are not press for time go for WES. You never know... opportunity may arise in the US or other countries and with a snap of a finger, you have your WES to present rather than going through contacting schools again.
Nigerian schools are sometimes the demons and dragons to be slayed. God help you if they go on strike....

I was thinking same when I first read his posts days ago. Someone I know was duped years ago by an agent with this same two year Australian work visa crap. I warned him against it and told him Nigerians are not eligible for work visa. I even sent him a link of the countries eligible. He refused to listen and told me the agent "had told him" that the list I sent was an old one and there is an updated one. Oya show me the updated one naaa. Agent couldn't. Said the Australian Government hadn't published yet. So how did agent get the list? cheesy .He lost over 2 million naira.

Nigerians are so gullible. Simple research could have saved him millions of naira. Even when they see the proof, they still choose to ignore it.
Person wey go get roasted will always get roasted. Wen it comes to immigration, Nigerians believe all sorts. Dem fit tell u say no be Judas betray Jesus sef say na Jelili. grin

Thank you for your response @maternal.

We chose Calgary because my husband is in the oil and gas sector. I know a lot of jobs have been lost worldwide due to the oil price. But I believe it will pick up in years to come.

Thanks, you have really put my mind at rest. I was dreading the COLD!

I am also looking forward to continuing my business there. I have a toddler and I know it would be difficult to get a full time job and afford a minder for her. I also do not want to be idle. I won't worry much about those technicalities now.

The first video is very very inspiring. This is a society that is truly concerned about its citizens.
I am considering setting up a day care business there. what do you think? I am in the process of incorporating a business name
Any heads up?
