Foreign Affairs › Re: Russia Begins Air Strikes In Syria Against ISIS by BALLOSKI: 10:40am On Oct 01, 2015
omenka:
What exactly does the US want for Christ's sake?? Time and again, coalition airstrikes have proven totally ineffective against ISIS, yet they grumble about Russia's emergence on the theatre.

US caused all the mess we are seeing in the mideast today. The root of all the chaos could be traced to the removal of Sadam and then exacerbated by the removal of Gadaffi. The power vacuum created by their removal gave the terrorists the much needed impetus to emerge from their caves and launch such viscous campaigns as never seen in modern times.

These were strongmen that sort of kept belligerent non state actors at bay, but today, we don't get to see headlines from the region without ISIS, Houti Rebels and those from Libya featuring prominently.

In this campaign, I'd put my money on the effectiveness of the Russians than the US. The Pakis were able to mitigate the excesses of the Taliban soon after US airstrikes ceased (or drastically reduced) in their country- what I'm saying is that the US isn't known to fix armed conflicts anywhere in the world either with boots on ground or jets in the air, their presence rather tends to make the situation deteriorate.

The only problem with this is that Asad stays, against the desires of most of the citizens of the country. The Arab spring was never meant for them, I guess the Tunisia and Egypt were just lucky.
the only reason why you have Russians now in the theatre is because asad is involved. I can categorically tell you that I'm a fan of asad , and you can also become his fan if you have read what dic'k Cheney said about their plans on how to destroy Iraq before bringing Syria to near rubbles.

I support Assad
I love Putin
I respect Russia

Politics › Re: Reps Probe Saraki's Trial by BALLOSKI: 9:26am On Oct 01, 2015
chukwudi44:
The trial is already on as Saraki has been docked what more do you mean by "fully submit to the trial"? Section 3(d) of the CCB act was not complied with before the case was taken to the CCT
you know nothing about the section that was mentioned by that anonymous member of CCT/CCT in the report you posted yesterday or so.

Why th cct did not inform saraki was because his is not a case of under-declaration , like Tinubu, it was a case of declaration in anticipation of the property he was to acquire in 3 years time from the time of his declaration of his assets.

Tinubu had 3 charges against him, and chief among them was his foreign account and which was dormant throughout his days as governor. And they felt that he did not declare some of his assets before he assumed office, so needed to call him and hear from him why he did not declare that particular asset while declaring others, and this the tribunal did not and led to the death of the case.
Saraki on the other hand , over-declared and even included a property he was not owning. You see why it will be difficult for saraki to escape?
Politics › Re: Reps Probe Saraki's Trial by BALLOSKI: 9:17am On Oct 01, 2015
An attempt that will end in futility.

What's hidden about saraki's travail that you need to probe to understand, you airheads? Probe what and on what basis? Leo ogor talked about the independence of the legislature, but he wants the house to encroach on the independence of the judiciary, another independent arm of government that has embarked on it's constitutional function.

Why are these dolicocephalic men so stvpid?
Politics › Re: Ministerial List: How Buhari’s Last Minute Change Favoured Ngige by BALLOSKI: 9:09am On Oct 01, 2015
seunmsg:
Ngige and Soludo are both Igbos and both of them are qualified enough to be minister.

The OP tends slightly towards bigotry as it seems to suggest that Buhari reluctantly included Ngige just to satisfy the Igbos. That is very far from the truth as the president must constitutionally choose one minister from each state.
as much as I doubt the story, I still want to believe the op posted what he saw out there . If the story is anything to go by, it then now mean ngige did not go through the purported dss screening which every other nominees went through since he was picked at the eleventh hour. Dss completed their screening over 2 weeks ago, so ngige inclusion couldn't have been a last minute thing.

NB: BUHARI may end up having 2 ministers from anambra since I heard obj wants him to include soludo in his list.

Gbawe:
Bro, the thread is just the usual tribalistic rants of insecure posters who must wake up, as the start to their day, to proclaim their ethnic group better than others. Silly thread from an OP who understands and loves prejudice yet does not know who/what a technocrat is. Next will be for him to say all Yoruba ministerial nominees are paedophiles while all Igbo nominees are ordained saints. I just don't get how some do not appreciate that the way they think is unproductive and backward.
listen to them not, they are children of hate.

There's a constitutional provision that all States of the Federation must produce a "noisemaker". Where is this ethnic bigotry report from?
and where in that section of the constitution is the president mandated to pick ngige at all costs , if you don't want to see his action as a favor? Soludo could have been picked, so picking ngige is huge for us.

Indeed. Simple logic. Politicians had substantive professions before political office. Politics actually even deepens the technocratic finesse of effective and competent politicians.
I just don't know how those asinines reason. Maybe they think a technocrat must not have anything to do with politics. Their so called technocrats, e.g soludo , iweala , etc, are all members of pdp. You must become a party member at your appointment into a government- this is the tradition.

Mr man,you don't seem to get it.......the north has held power for a long time, but till today, its still ravaged by poverty, polio and almajiris.....
Also Nigerian mentality that an igbo president will divide Nigeria is one of the many reasons for the biafran agitation, irrespective of the length of bridge one builds.....that notion first has to be corrected b4 any fault games.
The BIAFRANS you see today may not be the BIAFRANS of the civil war,the agitations/boycotting of elections by igbos you see today may not be what we want, but Nigeria is making it look like our last resort..that notion is what is resurrecting the agitation for Biafra and it's only a matter of time..

Talk about unity:Igbos are actually the most social friendly ethnic group in Nigeria, that's why we are everywhere in Nigeria, unlike other tribes that are so isolated in their regions.
We unit Nigeria.

Before something spoils,it smells. cool
Biafra we want,Biafra we shall get..
You can shove your president up ur shitty a*ss.
Hahahahahah...

This guy is pained. If you don't care about Nigeria's presidency , why did you almost commit suicide when your adopted son lost the election? Igbos and double standard.
