favour0011: i would like to ask u some qstns first. 1.are u sponsoring urself? if not ur SOA may not b necessary unless u v been working for some time. 2.if u say 2weeks i want to assume that is like d first week of this month(jan). right? 3. when do u intend to submit ur application? u cannot use an SOA that is older than a month. so if u wld b submitting ur application on or befre 2 weeks time u can use ur SOA like that. 4. ob the other hand, i heard that they usually call d banks to verify ur account balance. i cannot b too sure. if they do i hope ur present acct balance doesnt deviate so much from wat u v from ur SOA? pls wait for gurus to respond on this these r just my thoughts |

malaoluolateju: m not so sure about this one. if your parent is still alive mayb he can do an affidafit of transfer of ownership. if not alive, mayb u can do the affidavit instead. if u v a lawyer u cld ask him ow u can tackle this. do u v an evidence of inheriting d land?maybe a will(official or unofficial)or something?if not alive u can just present d land docs even if they bear your parent name. also include mayb the death cert. or something that can stand as evidence d person is dead. u can then explain in ur sop the reason for the land docs not bearing ur name #my thoughts let gurus in d house put mouth goodluck sir 2 Likes |

Nony1: there are some schools that allow for direct admidsion into a phd programveoth ur bsc. i came across spme during my search for unis but cant recall dier names...do.my dear..google..google...i must say admissions into phd programs are very competitive so to b able to get in ur profile(cgpa, research interests, sop, work experiencw, etc) must be really strong..if u dont v a very strong profilw why not go for masters?anyways its ur call.... also to inctease ur chances of admussion apply to as many skuls asu can. i read on a difft forum the posts of some phd applicants. majoritybof them applied to like 6 skulsbn abpve. i even saw some1 who spppies to like 12 skuls!believe me the hustle no b here o...also emsil lots of professors so as to increase ur chances of getting a supervisoe...and .....GOODluck..m 1 Like |

Olupinlaoluwato: IMO, 2 years is a long time to bawaiting result. do u mean that u didnt make ur papers at first and had to resit or ur results werent released early?whatever the case u have got to fix up that time-wsit somehow. put urself in the VO's shoes. The VO would be like "o.k. so basically all u did was to wake, eat, sleep and await result!interesting!" You do not want the VO to think f u as someone that plans without puting contigencies in consideration; as someonw that puts his life on hold cox things didnt go the way he planned. you dont want the VO to see that if somethin happens whole u r in CAnny u wld resort to the idle mode. u cld say u were involved in some community assistance work, volunteer jobs, educative outreaches or something. but whatever it is u decide to use as reason make sure it is such that doesnt come back to bite u. i mean do not list an activity that would ginger the VO to ask u for evidence. for instance if u say u were working voluntarily for a WHO branch, the VO may want to see evidence of that such as pictures, emails etc. Whatever it is u decide to do sha dont leave any too much idle time/gaps in ur profile. my 2 cents. 1 Like |

domex007:in addition to hayqinsbFX input, did u include a very convincing explanation/reason for the gap between 2012 and now? in ur next application you shld tackle dis. u must show evidence of activeness(academic-wise or career-wise). also i tink u shld contact the skul and let them know of ur situation and see if u can defer ur admission to a later date while you refire. mmmnnn....i tink dats wat i can say...for now....gooodluck |

Travel / Re: Travelling To Canada Part 9 by bamjay: 12:38pm On Jan 07, 2016 |
dania30: i am not sure if this is hiw it is calculated but in someone's post, he said divide ur CGPA by 5 and multipky by 100 to get the % value of ur CGPA e.g. (4.5/5)*100=90%. I hope this helps... |

dejilale: hi. i am no expert on this but from wat i have read and observed on this thread, age aint a barrier to studying/applying/getting admitted even an undergraduate course. I think where the prob would lie is in your visa app. you must be able to prove to the VO that you havent been idle since u left higj school and also write a convincing SOP...I stand to be corrected though..m sure gurus in the house would shed more on ur questn. you could also try reading back to see individuals that had similar situatns and how they tackled it goodluck dear 1 Like |
