Celepope: Many Nigerians just like condemning anything church perhaps it is based on poverty. You guys should cut them some slack.I am not taking side with this man but he is not far from the truth. Most private University even in the US owned by churches are also expensive.A good example is Oral Roberts University.I have not come across where the owners of the religious Universities forced anyone to attend their school. It is by choice. Some will soon start complaining that his members can't attend his school.Funny enough many of them are not complaining so why are you guys bothered? If you think you have the money then your can send your kids there but if not you can sure look else where i.e Adekunle Ajasin University and other.Anyways even the useless state Universities in Nigeria are getting expensive daily without any meaningful infrastructure and wack administration so you guys should ponder on the difference between both.
You spoke well bro
do you low that today, Oral Robert university is now owned and run med by the government, because they could not fund the university and the reasons in not far fetched, dey were giving more freebies and providing quality education at the same time, so therefore they had issues funding the university
3 times, they did a public funding to reclaim the university from govt...
so what are we saying....
if covenant becomes 200k, and provides poor service is u pple that will talk and condemn the school, or if the schools folds up, u will talk
you can't eat your cake and nd have it back!

RomanceRe: Is Sex Really The Relationship? By FUNMI AKINGBADE by bamoza(op): 2:34pm On Sep 08, 2014

RomanceIs Sex Really The Relationship? By FUNMI AKINGBADE by bamoza(op): 2:28pm On Sep 08, 2014
Many times, majority of singles and unmarried in a dating
relationship engage in sex to keep the relationship going. But
a recent survey from over 3,000 researchers has concluded
that sex does not strengthen, preserve or keep a
relationship. Although many unmarried younger men and
women find this difficult to believe, today we shall look at
some facts these researchers got from all over the globe.
Every manufacturer always designs a product for a purpose.
They specify the usage and we, the consumers, abide by
their specifications. Sex is designed to exist within certain
boundaries; sexual union is intended as an expression of a
lifelong commitment, a symbol of a union that exists only
within the unconditional commitment of marriage. So, sex is
designed for the marriage union and should be reserved for
the same purpose. Sex and marriage go together. Every act
of sex outside of marriage cheapens both sex and marriage.
So, sex is not the relationship.
It pays to save sex at its proper time and place – and that is
in your marriage. Many single young men find it difficult to
eventually marry a lady that freely offers sex to them
because they think that if the milk is free there should be no
need to pay for the cow. There is still something so special
when the surprise is kept for the wedding night. ‘But we
really love each other’ has no bearing on the ethics of sexual
intimacy—sex does not become permissible through
subjective feelings, but through the objective lifelong
commitment of marriage. God is not cruel. He doesn’t
command you to abstain from necessities such as eating or
drinking or breathing. Sex is something everyone can abstain
from; yes it is a strong desire, but never an emergency, nor
a necessity.
Sex outside its boundaries is inseparable from the
responsibilities and the consequences. It makes having a long
term relationship more difficult. Sex before marriage begins
to thaw away. You find yourself divorcing your emotions
from the actual act of sex. This cheapens your emotions and
short-circuits your ability to form lasting and meaningful
relationships. It makes sex, as an expression of love, so
empty.
The standard argument for having sex before marriage is
this: If two people love each other, then what is so wrong
with having sex? If the only means to say, “I love you,” is to
have sex, then the unmarried people are in trouble. Sex
ought to be the final expression of your love when you have
thrown yourself completely and absolutely into a lifelong
relationship. Anything less than complete commitment makes
the expression of sex mundane and often even, vain. Sex, as
a final act of commitment, is a powerful statement of love
that deepens marital commitment and rekindles excitement. It
robs you of your self-worth, it takes away the commitment
and replaces it with a cheap love, and you rob yourself of
one of the most precious gifts you can give. It also damages
your own self-worth. You’ll begin to think either less of
yourself, or others will think less of you. And if that is all
you have, your mind and heart begin to drift and you begin
to question your own self-worth. Is it just your body that the
other craves? What happens when you get sick, or old, or
wrinkled? Will you be loved when you can’t perform like you
do now? Can the relationship survive outside of the sexual
act?
Believe it or not, indiscriminate sexual activities before
marriage will haunt you in your future relationships; this I
can practically guarantee. You would have regret,
depression, anxiety, abortion, nightmares, suspicion, and
trust issues. The physical and relational consequences of sex
outside of marriage are painfully real. True love would be
patient in waiting for the proper time for sex.
“But we’re going to be married anyway,” is another common
excuse. Along with being presumptuous, this stance will
almost certainly leave one question unanswered: If one gives
in to sexual demands before marriage, what will stop him or
her from giving in to such demands elsewhere once married?
But what if we get married and find out we’re completely
sexually incompatible? Do you know that you could actually
find out if you’re incompatible with your spouse in a
hundred different ways? Every married couple does. But a
successful marriage isn’t based so much on compatibility as
on a commitment to work through the incompatibilities.
Research indicates that couples who cohabit before marriage
have a 50 per cent higher divorce rate than those who don’t.
These couples also have higher rates of domestic violence
and are more likely to be involved in sexual affairs. If a
cohabiting couple gets pregnant, there is a high probability
that the man will leave the relationship within two years,
resulting in a single mom raising a fatherless child. As a
matter of fact, people who have sex outside of marriage
usually don’t end up marrying each other. Not even when
the thought of getting married was their reason for having
sex.
There are many other ways to find out if you are compatible:
spending time together getting to know one another through
dates and talking to each other, finding out each other’s
likes, dislikes, passions, beliefs etcetera. Do you really want
your future spouse to have tried “finding a compatible
partner” by having many different sex partners? No, you
don’t. So, sex is not really the relationship, get your bearing
right.

I think one just need to learn to be able to set the boundary between when to beat and when to stop
I remember when my dad would naked us just to flog us, because normal method of flogging no dey enter us again....

if a child is 5 years and above, I believe he is above beating, maybe punishment would do

but not beating and funny enough my parents best scripture for dia defense is dt "spare the rod and spoil the child"

FamilyIs It Possible To Raise A Child Without Beating by bamoza(op): 8:26pm On Sep 04, 2014
Hello NLs
I always have the intention not to physically beat my children when they misbehave (that I would rather talk to them or give them light punishment) due to the fact that my parents were people that believe so much that beating is the best method to correct a child but they were wrong because we only changed as far as the pain of the beating lasted, Infact it made us worse because we got so used to cane that we not scared of doing something wrong, so because of that, I believed that beating does more harm than good,
and to support my new believe is when one of my uncle told me that he has never beat his children, though they(his children) left Nigeria at an early age, but even when in Nigeria he said he has never beaten them, though can't ascertain if his wife did not, but am sure when they got abroad they won't beat, because they don't beat dia.
But recently I have a niece of mine that came to stay with us and with my knowledge that beating is not the best method of correcting a child, I try as much as possible not to beat her when she did something wrong, but lately have had to beat her twice because it seems she wasn't getting better or listening to the corrections when I say them but with a few strokes she got them perfectly, and am like, me that determined to never beat a child, but can't refrain myself from beating my niece, how sure that I won't beat my child
with all this
I just keep wondering
is It possible to raise a child In Nigeria without beating the child?

This new development has always been a miss and will continue to be
this is a anti cashless policy
especially with the facts that other alternatives to ATM are not functionally efficiently to satisfy Nigeria, Infact no a wrens about the other alternatives
a supermarket in my area that uses POS told me that her POS only worked for a month after she got it, after that na soso network wahala, or errors in money deduction
if CBN doesn't want people to go to ATM again
then 1st provide alternatives

ever since this new CBN gov has taken over, I knew it will be payback time for Nigeria, everything Sanusi stopped, will be reversed and bank will make more money from us
Thus is an era for the banks, by the banks, to the banks

At times i just wonder wia some people sense of judgement have gone too....
some people just argue blindly and pointlessly
all this people makes me wanna cry for nigeria
Are this the leaders of tomorrowhuh? huh huh
PoliticsPoints From Aregbesola's Question And Answer Session Held 26th July, 2014 by bamoza(op): 4:17pm On Jul 27, 2014
Note: I didn’t start from beginning due to the failure of the state broadcasting television to broadcast it, and i got to know late that it was aired on radio, so this just contains what I heard, also it is not word for word, but I tried not to deviate and made sure I interpreted correctly what he was actually saying

On the Education reform that went on in the state:
The Education reform that took place in the state was due to a summit that Prof. Wole Soyinka was a member. The Educational reform did not only constitute the reclassification of school but also improve school feeding system, rebuilding of school infrastructures

On hijab controversy, and Aregbesola a religious person:
Aregbesola said, he's a muslim, he has a wife and daughter who does not wear hijab, so how can he mandate students to wear hijab to school. His government didn't mandate anybody or give any directive for anybody to wear hijab to school rather he said he left it under the prerogatives of the parents to decide if they want their wards/child to wear hijab to school
He also said the company (Sam and Sara, owned by a born again Christian) accused for production of hijab for students wasn't given any directive to produce any Hijab.
He also said that out of the five children that his mother gave birth to, one is dead, two are born again Christians, and other two are Muslims, and they all live as a happy family.
In his cabinet, he appointed 36 members and only 12 are Muslim, he appointed 32 permanent secretaries and only 8 are Muslims, so how can he be called a fanatics, if people are blaming me for being a devout Muslim, then I prefer to be condemn than renounce my faith.

On Local Government Election not conducted during his first term in office:
He said that Local government election could not be conducted because PDP took Osun State Independent Election Commission (OSIEC) to court, challenging the composition of the body, and with the case in court, they will be fouling judicial process if they went ahead and conducted the Local government election

On People with special needs as part of government:
Aregbesola said his government had created a programme for people with special needs, and not less than ten people had been employed/helped with the programme.

On the re-allocation of Old garage road, which was previously given to COSEC for N8BN now awarded to SAMMYA for N17BN
Aregbesola pointed that no contract has ever been award for the dualization Old garage road to Ila-Odo, and he challenge that anybody with contract papers for the road, should come out and present them, what was given to COSEC was that they should sessionally rehabilate the road, he said that it was the decision of his government to do the dualization of the road, providing street lights and walkways e.t.c. No contract was re-awarded.
He also pointed that the contractor (SAMMYA) is working on the road is financing the road from his own pocket and that that they will pay back later, and same method is being done by the Federal government in the construction of Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

On the pain inflicted on people affected by the demolition of infrastructures:
He said that is there no pain without gain, how can there be birth without pains or groans. The demolitions are needed for the state to be reconstructed and fit into one of the top states in the world.

On violence for election and the controversy statement about use of charm, cutlass and weapons during election:
He said that it’s a deliberate misunderstanding of his statement and the desire to smear his name in the word, he explained that what he said was that if you a Christian, use Biblical verses, if a Muslim, use Quranic verses for your protection and if you a traditional worshipper, use traditional methods to protect yourself, let everybody take what he/she believes in and if what people are now saying is that tradition methods of protection means violence then it’s not fair, let’s not condemn a religion because we don’t believe in it, we should rather learn to accommodate all

In his closing remarks he said that the welfare of the people is the primary focus of his government, without the people there can’t be a government.

Osun a dara
Also note that the candidates of Labour Part and People Democratic Party did not show up
