Travel / Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 5 by bamoza(m): 8:23pm On Oct 09, 2018
Hello guys, please is anybody here applying to family reunion visa. I applied since June 7th, 2018 and till now we haven't heard from the embassy. We had a visit from the verification officer last month and he said he had submitted his report to the embassy but we are yet to get the "verification completed"mail. We called the foreigners office in Germany and they said that they are still waiting for the document verification result in the Germany embassy in Lagos. Is anybody else in our shoes or does anybody have any advice on what to do

I got a job in Germany some months back, and this thread was very helpful in making sure I got all needed info regarding my work visa and traveling self. Almost any question or worry I had, had been addressed before. All I did was just search and read some pages back.

Got to Berlin some days ago, resuming work tomorrow.

why not go to their institute in cms for 3months 40k including textbooks 3days in a week

I can't register for classes at Goethe now. The next trimester starts Sept, and that's way beyond my schedule.

If you know any other institute that's more flexible that you can recommend, I will appreciate that.

Hello, am looking for someone that can teach me German and I will pay you for your service.

I am not using it for any exam. My goal is to be able to speak and understand when people speak.

I am mostly available in the evening after work and weekends. I will like someone that stays around Unilag so that you won't spend much on transport.

If you are fit and can prove that you will help me achieve my goal, add me on BBM 5C36BA06 and let's talk.

Cheers

Programming / How To Get A User IP Address With Javascript by bamoza(m): 6:12am On Jan 21, 2015
Hello, please I need your help,

I am building an app, and I would be needing the user's location to query my database to return data valid for their region/city in Nigeria, but I noticed that some ISP don't support Geolocation, meaning if i check for the user's location via html5 geolocation, it returns `location information not found`, so I am thinking of using their IP address, this should be relatively easy with PHP, but am using MEAN Stack, so would like if anybody know how to get with javascript or best, if you have any other option to gt user's location aside Ip address and html5 geolocation

Thanks
Nairaland / General / Nigeria Bank's Indemify Policy. Is It Right? by bamoza(m): 5:55am On Jan 17, 2015
So I wanted to transfer money to someone today via my internet bank platfor, and I am being forced to agree to this idemnify policy before I can initiate my transaction.
Indemify policy below from my bank.
Now my question is:
Is this right?
Why will a bank absolve themself from any loss or related damage that may happen to my money?
What if the error is from them?
Is this being done in other parts of the world too?
Because I feel Nigerians are being bullied and their is nobody to correct this wrong!!!

IN CONSIDERATION of [b]A Nigerian Bank[\b] (hereinafter called “the Bank”) agreeing to process transactions initiated by me via the Bank’s Internet Banking Platform above the Central Bank of Nigeria’s approved limit of N1,000,000.00 (one million Naira only) (hereinafter called “Transactions”), I, hereby fully indemnify the Bank, its Directors, agents, privies, assigns, successors, employees, or any other person whomsoever acting under the Bank’s authority or control against any costs, losses, damages, litigation, action, proceeding, expenses (including Attorney’s fees), judicial awards of any kind, or any payments of whatsoever nature made or any cost however incurred, whether directly or indirectly, remotely or otherwise, resulting from the Bank processing such Transactions.

Furthermore, I, hereby irrevocably and unconditionally agree that in addition to any general lien or similar right to which the Bank may be entitled by law, the Bank may at any time and without notice to me combine or consolidate all or any of my other deposits and accounts with and liabilities to the Bank in any currency that may at any time be in possession of the Bank and set off or transfer any sum or sums standing to the credit of any one or more of such accounts or deposits in or towards satisfaction of any claim made against the Bank or loss suffered by the Bank as a result of or pursuant to the Bank processing such Transactions.

My obligation herein shall not be reduced by any claim by me against the Bank, its Directors, agents, privies, assigns, successors, employees, or any other person whomsoever acting under the Bank’s authority.

This Indemnity shall be a continuing obligation in respect of any and all matters connected to or arising from the Bank processing such Transactions. This Indemnity shall remain valid and in full force from the date of its execution hereof until the Bank issues a letter discharging me from my obligations herein.

This Indemnity shall be construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Like if you think it's Namadi Sambo

Mohammed Namadi Sambo was born on 2 August 1954 in Zaria, Kaduna State, Nigeria. He attended Baptist Primary School in Kakuri, Kaduna before attending Kobi Primary School in Bauchi and Towns School No. 1 in Zaria. From 1967 until 1971, he attended Government Secondary School, now Alhuda-Huda College, in Zaria. He attended the School of Basic Studies at the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in 1972, after which he gained admission into the Department of Architecture, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, where he graduated in 1976 with a Bachelor of Science degree with Honours BSc (Hons). He also holds a Masters degree (MSc) in Architecture.

Sambo served with the Oyo State Ministry of Works and Housing for the National Youth Service Corps up to August 1979. In 1988 he was appointed Commissioner for Works, Transport and Housing, Kaduna. In 1990, Namadi Sambo left the service of Kaduna State Government and went back to private practice.

In May 2007, Mohammed Namadi Sambo assumed office of the Governor of Kaduna State, Nigeria. His term ended on 18 May 2010. Sambo had an 11-point agenda as Governor of Kaduna State that was to focus on empowering the youth and women of the community and to address security for the state. While still serving as governor, he was picked by the president of Nigeria to become his deputy.

Following the death of President Umaru Yar'Adua, Goodluck Jonathan became the President. Jonathan nominated Sambo as Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and his official correspondence conveying the nomination of Sambo for the VP position was received by the National Assembly on Friday 15 May 2010. On 18 May 2010, the National Assembly approved President Goodluck Jonathan's nomination of former Kaduna State governor, Namadi Sambo, an architect, for the position of Vice President.

On 19 May 2010, Namadi Sambo was formally sworn in as the Vice-President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. His retinue of aides includes Umar Sani, his Senior Special Assistant on Media & Publicity.
