chyzoo4u: If you know your onions just like myself (yes, I'm bragging), you can own a house within a year in the UK unlike some discouraging stories some people like to tell.
Yes o. People should never mind the UK is hard crew.
God helping me, I won't raise my sons to allow some other kids bully them. I will be enrolling them in fight classes at appropriate ages I punched my senior in secondary school for trying to bully me.
ayoolataiwo: It's not about generating 6,000MW,it's about distributing more from the disco to the end users,,,because what is the essence if the disco can only distribute 50% of the generated Energy. And also getting every users metered at least paying the what's been used not vice versa
What is the essence if there are no infrastructure for distribution of the 6,000 MW generated?
Pepperdemisback: Another community shouldn't have agreed, maybe the community was threatened and put under siege or they have paid for the sacrifice. Let's pray it doesn't have a repercussion. The fear of the repetition of the Delta massacre on them is the reason they are not restricting them. RIP I just pity the girl, you fought as a living and still fighting as a dead.
No repercussion as long as it's government. Government is more than culture or tradition. It doesn't hold them.
Layi4real: first of all its foolishness of U to even compare Nigeria to the western countries cus Africa's expecially west Africa are living centuries behind this countries.... and to think Tinubu remove the subsidy is another foolishness of U because Buhari did and there is no money in the government acct to subsidize the petrol.... u should be thankful that we have someone like Tinubu that can handle the situation Nd not letting our problems not going beyond this.... if there is anybody to blame them blame Ur past leaders because as for Tinubu he has never be our problem. The only state he once govern is the source of wealth of this nation all thanks to him that he didn't allow intruders to hijack Lagos from him.

The world has gone global. Because you are developed, so you won't use modern technologies? I've a washing machine at home, so because we are centuries back, I should dump it? These people travel abroad and see how the systems work there, but won't bring such here. Corruption has eaten deep into our very fabrics of nationhood and we don't want to change. Look at our system of government we copied from America but we intentionally left out the part that will make everyone of us happy. Why can't we attend same school with politicians children? Naija is a mess. The state he governed was a formal capital. Check other southwest state to see if they measure up.
Tinubu is a bad leader and it's people like you that has been voting these terrible leaders.
Nazgul: The problem about Nigeria is that when you try to point out obvious flaws in government policies, those collecting crumbs from the government would tag you as children of hate.
Tariff was increased by over 200% without increasing Mega watts generation.
The Discos and Gencos didn't agree to run a mock transmission to see if they can sustain at least 20 hours of electricity to customers on band A before approving the increase by the government.
They didn't fix the national grid that keeps collapsing like a child learning how to walk...
They just announced an increment, and immediately adjusted the prices because it favours them. And as usual their poverty stricken supporters who can't even afford 2 meals a day came out in droves to defend their greedy actions by comparing price of electricity in Nigeria to developed countries. Forgetting that our minimum wage over here is peanuts compared to what civil servants in these developed countries earn.
The greatest enemies of Nigeria are those who after receiving crumbs, openly support and defend terrible government policies that brings nothing but suffering and pains to the masses.
Tinubu is very useless and dumb and his supporters dumber. You just increase and remove subsidies without anything on ground to cushion the removals. Very useless govt.
There are some villages you don't bury their children outside. If you do, then, the indigenes of the place the burial will start facing problems. Some villages strong pass others irrespective of whether na water the person die.
Layi4real: ask yourself, is subsidy removed as at then... only a fool will expect the economy to remain the same after removing subsidy on the country source of wealth...
That's the foolishness you people display. Why remove subsidy when you have not fixed refineries. Do you how areas of their economy the UK, US and other nations subsidise? Why do these countries have working systems? Do your know with 100 pounds, you can feed your family in the UK. And you only need few hours of work in a week to earn that.
We have very bad system in Nigeria and very stupid electorates. If you don't have intelligent things to say, don't come in my mention
Mubiola360: is like you don't know the rate of decay (corruption) in Nigerian banks, the bdc is existing to checkmate the bank actors but before this current government? Both the bdc and banks are in collaboration to exploit the masses but now, the real essence of their existence will come to limelight. Sell dollar to them and ensure they do not sell above a certain percentage rate . 1.5%.while the banks can do what they like . Open market but will have no choice than to stay competitive ensuring their rate stay in line and not too high to that of bdc . A win win for the economy. The bank has been tamed . Remember, they are also to expand their capital base . So now, they are no longer in a huge profit ,had to work hard to meet the target . No more lavish spending.
The corruption is the bank is enabled by govt. If govt get head, no bank for do nonsense. Na thunder go fire all bad govt institutions and those enabling corruption cancer will corrupt their body
Layi4real: y U or ur popc no come out to fix the country since U have a great leader in Ur family....nl people like U can hardly manage 3 to 4 people Nd U are here badmouthing someone controlling over 250m population..... if e easy collect presidential tickets coming 2027 Nd contest
Mumu people no sabi vote right. Are you one of dem?
Islie: Nigeria's Minister of Works Dave Umahi confirmed the figure on Thursday when he was featured on Channels Television's breakfast show The Morning Brief.
What is the purpose of tax in the first place? You are building road with taxpayers money and insisting on tolling same road. These people have no business in government. Dumbos
Layi4real: ask yourself, is subsidy removed as at then... only a fool will expect the economy to remain the same after removing subsidy on the country source of wealth...
We have very bad leaders. People who have no business being governors and presidents. Why should refineries not be working. The idiot came without recourse to the effect of subsidy removal when refineries aren't working. Tinubu and his supporters are dumb, dumber. Period
We have been doing that and we will keep doing that.
The enemies of our dear nation must be put to shame.
They speculated 1$ = N5000 but they have been put to shame.
Now they insist $1= N700
A ma gbe wálè even below what they think is impossible.
Omoluabi is in-charge.
E lo fi okàn balè!
You president has been doing zilch. How much was dollar to the naira when he became president and how much now? We have very stupid Nigerians supporting a bad govt. The common man has no money to be praying that the dollar should be 5000. It's your people in govt who steal and stash away dollars. A lot of you are very foolish. Go to the UK, you won't a politician that steals the way those you are supporting does. But here in Nigeria we support all manners of thieves.
Reminds me of those guys who decided to build a tower that will get to heaven. BABA quickly switch their tongues.
These Scientist trying these dangerous adventure are best summarized as "Professing to be Wise, they became fools".
[b]Romans 1:20-22
“…For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, because although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools…”
This world is going deep into insanity and Consequences will be more Sinking Brutal Destructions and Disasters.
Get ready to meet JESUS CHRIST. There is No more Time
The knowledge of science is from God. Fathers of science from time past were all believers in God.
Usefulsense: Last year, I sought the opinion of Nairalanders concerning my plan to move to Australia. My major worry was my age (48) and also considering that my net salary in Nigeria was a little over a million Naira per month as the financial controller of a manufacturing company in Onitsha.
Below is the link to the thread I opened to seek peoples advice and I recommend that you go through the thread to fully appreciate the story that follows.
I finally left Nigeria on December 7th, 2023 and arrived the country on December 9th with my children. Today, I am exactly 3 months, 2 weeks and 6 days old in Sydney, australia.
This is not a hearsay, it is not an eye witness account, it is my story.
This is intended to guide people who maybe planning to travel outside Nigeria. Should you migrate at an age over 45 or not?
Those who told me not to go are right and those who told me to travel are also right.
Given another opportunity, will I take the decision to move out of Nigeria at 48? Have I made a mistake? How am I surviving?
You will find out in this thread.
To be continued shortly .........
The part I really liked... His savings per month is still more than monthly gross in Nigeria. I go japa sooner than later by God's grace.
Wainey: Price of food isn't just going to drop and this is not about Tinubu. Naira started dropping like a month ago.
Sellers aggressively stocked up their warehouses when Naira climb to N1700-1800 thinking it will climb further, so wait for sometime, some of these people already have 3months worth of items stocked up and they will always sell at the price they bought
During Jonathan's reign, we were buying ojile (colloquial) bread for 400-450. It increased in Buhari's regime to 700 and now 1800/2000 in Tinubu's less than a year in govt.
Jewessgratitud3: Not entirely true because the conducive environment, constant electricity supply, good roads and security they enjoy can not be compared to what we have in Nigeria.
The smell in some areas in Nigeria can make you fall sick due to constant power failure in this hot weather climate causing serious heat waves. Every house will now open their windows to the street with smell of heat and Early morning breath oozing from this houses. Abi na gutter smell? chai!! Omor it's a nightmare. You can't experience such abroad.
If youre talking in terms of food, it's cheaper over there though maybe our Nigerian foods are on the high side but you'll still be able to afford it.
It's only the rent I know it's expensive and their taxes but if you cut your coat according to your cloth, you'll live fine. Avoid those their big apartments and you'll have enough change to roll by and still save something.
Life na management until you can Stand on your feet.
In all I still prefer the environment there this una place don dey smell too much.
Don't mind people saying these things. If I'm earning 2000 pounds, will I spend 1500 a month? I know of someone in UK telling me I should not mind those people.
It's like you people don't know the Ijaws. They have hired mercenaries to fight my community and we killed them all. The mercenaries became wise and refused being hired. It could be, while the Ijaws accompanied the soldiers to Okuama, they hired mercenaries to carry out the operation pinning it on the Urhobo community.
In all honesty, it can't happen to my son in the first place, but if they chose to dare me, the teacher and the principal will go in for it.
I will use cutlass side to flog the teacher and afterwards my soldier friends will arrest and detain the teacher till my son recuperate. After which the police will take over the case.
