Fasting continues tomorrow.

Sorry for any inconvenience

dominique:
MSSN does not have the authority to announce the sighting of the moon. We're yet to hear anything from Sokoto or Saudi. From the looks of things, the fasting might extend till tomorrow

Perhaps you missed this....

barackodam:
The Amir's message followed the declaration of the moon-sighting of the month of Shawwal by the President-General, Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA) and the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa'ad Abubakar III tonight (4/7/2016) and therefore implore Muslims to continuously imbibe the lessons of the blessed month, as it was a school and teacher.

And I just called the numbers affixed.

Ringing but not being picked

Like I said, I received the BC from whatsapp.

Hoping someone would have verified over here.

You know Saudi is till Wednesday

simplejayy:
did the sultan make this pronouncement?

I just got this on whatsapp.

Anyone to verify for us

As Salamu Alaykum warahmatullah

In anticipation of the moon sighting tonight, the publicity/Mobilization Committee has put this together.

Let's make necessary correction, sirs

MUSLIM STUDENTS SOCIETY OF NIGERIA,
LAGOS STATE AREA UNIT

CONGRATULATORY MESSAGE TO MUSLIMS ALL OVER THE WORLD ON THE SIGHTING OF THE MOON OF SHAWWAL AND CELEBRATION OF EID

All Praise belongs to Allah. May His peace and blessings be showered upon the noble prophet Muhammad, his household, his companions and the generality of the Muslim Ummah, till the end of time.

Allahu Akbar! Allahu Akbar!! Allahu Akbar!!!

The Muslim Students Society of Nigeria, Lagos State Area Unit under the leadership of Amir Mas'ud Kolawole (Asqolani) congratulates Muslims all over the World on the sighting of the moon of Shawwal and the celebration of eid.

Amir Asqolani reminded the Muslims of the necessity to pay their Zakat-ul-Fitr before going out to the Eid ground tommorow morning with the intention of lifting the burden of the indigent Muslims within our communities and also advised Muslims to fast for six (6) days in the month of Shawwal, as this is a sunnah of the prophet for those who have the ability to do so.

The President of the Society call on the Muslim Youths in the State to imbibe the spirit of the blessed month and be good ambassadors of Islam, wherever they may find their selves, as though the month of Ramadhan as come and gone but the lessons in it MUST continue to reflect in the lives of the Muslim Youths.

He however encourage the entire Muslims in the State to continue praying for the Nation, as they keep the virtues of the sacred month, as a spiritual guide towards our accelerated development as individuals and a Nation.

Wishing you and your loved ones a very happy and prosperous Eid. May Allah shower His blessings upon you and grace you with joy and happiness always. EID-IL-MUBARAK

Copied as received

Ramadan is almost over now.

Assess yourself, what have you been able to gain during Ramadan.

As it's going, you don't have to go back to your wrong doings. Stay pure, stay holy nonetheless.....remember, the world is watching us.

Meanwhile, don't forget to observe the voluntary sittatu shawwal.

May Allah make it easy for us and He grant us Al Jannah

Aameen
