Abu Mikey:Ehn? If I hear…Ney wetin? Coach should just continue the rotation |
It is worth getting obsessed over when two teams swallow 50% and the other 18 are fighting for the remaining 50%? What kind of shameless arrangement is that? No other top league in Europe boasts of such an unreasonable format. That's why in ten years only two teams can boast of a league title! This is unheard of in any team sport! Football oh NBA,NFL,NHL,MLB,Super Rugby etc
See me see success Abeg if you be baba olowo, na who you go lend money take do business, person wey worth €50m or €500k? |
You sure are obsessed with the TV rights thingy in Spain. It's everywhere, that's all i'll say On your league, I can understand your joy cos this year you'll win it with 12 games to spare. |
sleekdot: In the last 10yrs Bundesliga winners are Werder bremen, Wolfsburg, Stuttgart, Dortmund and Bayern (5 teams). You're just putting the statistics to favor yourself. Add one more year then you can add Deportivo to the La liga teams |
They are one and the same! Infact it is worse and only a hypocrite would argue otherwise TV rights should be performance based! Madrid and Barca do not play against themselves. In every other league money is shared according to your position! No wonder almost all Spanish teams including "Madrid" and "Barca" are the biggest onigbeses around. Bayern would not collect more TV money than Stuttgart if they finish below Stuttgart you can't say the same for your league can you? You are comparing appearances in Finals to mere appearances. Going by that logic Mexico and South Korea should be superpowers at the World Cup then surely they are at par with France and say The Netherlands since they've been to the last 6 World Cups
If you were a Dortmund fan, you wouldn't be arguing this. You're sure loving it as you're a Bayern fan. Then you should come back when Barca and Madrid finish below Atleti and still receive more money |
Improving La Liga with the money you and Madrid loot every year! Looool! How won't they have financial difficulties when only your team and Madrid guzzle over 50 percent of the money that should go to the other teams in the league Come and talk when Spain has won their 3rd World title. Besides we all know Madrid's and Barca's best players are not Spanish so once again like a circle you have no point I thought I explained how buying best players from any team weakens the league. Man City last season woulda easily won the league with RVP. Imagine where Arsenal would be had they landed Suarez. By buying from a mid-table you are weakening your league still! Who knows what players they could attract had they kept them? Who says in another season or two they wouldn't be in contention? Could you predict 3 years ago that Athleti would be where they are now? Its not good business! Smaller teams find it harder to replace the few good players they have this is simple logic!
So if you were the in the position to give TV rights and revenues out, you'd rather give more to Sevilla and Valencia? That happens everywhere so there's no point there At least Spain is winning something with the same players that win with Barca/Madrid, what has the German national team achieved in that period? So Iniesta, Xavi, Busquests, Alonso, Ramos, Villa aren't Spanish? It's showing on their national team unlike your one team league. A mid table team can't win the league and their players want success on the pitch, so they go where they can get it. It's common sense. As for Atleti, they've always been good, they're just better this year with a great manager. They beat Inter 4 years ago and thrashed Chelsea 2 years ago to win the UEFA super cups on both occasions, remember? |
I'm sure you also love the poaching away of Alves,Alba and Villa never mind the fact that you are a fan of one of the two teams robbing your league blind with a lopsided TV money sharing format A lost final counts not only in the record books but in the club's accounts as well! Only one team can win a competition but getting as far as the Final proves you were a contender in your era. Loool at including Arsenal as a contender? How many Finals have they played? Scratch that how many semi-finals have they managed in their history? Ninja please we are talking contenders and you are bringing up Arsenal Damn right it matters! It robs you of the right to talk about competition when your league is everything a competitive league shouldn't be. I was the one that brought up the no other team has won your league in 10 years point BTW. Only 2 teams winning a league over ten years? That is a much bigger disgrace and I don't think even the Portuguese League is that one-sided.
I already told you, Barca didn't buy Alves, Alba and Villa from a direct league rival, and stop with the TV right thing cos it's not like Bayern and Stuttgart receive the same TV right. It's a basic, Real madrid and Barca are richer, so what do you expect? I had to mention Arsenal as you were fixating on appearances rather than the end results. Arsenal have been a regular for 17 years running and that's also a positive on their finance books Our league you might not see as competitive but at least a team doesn't win it with 8 games to spare. Ah ah, when it's not 1970 |
Pataki: Did I not predict it? The moroooonic dumb-bells would defend this utter idiocy of a league. And as I rightly thought, the numero uno boy-boy is the leading voice in this brigade.BuLi na league? League wey be say na 2nd place teams dey fight for |
Was Lewandowski sold? Do Dortmund get paid for his signing? Now had Dortmund agreed to sell in the summer maybe you would have had a point but they didn't Goetze's release clause was met. When a release clause is met all bets are off. You lot don't have a point because Dortmund have shown that they would not sell to us under normal circumstances. Their hands were forced! Man Utd can only do strong head with Rooney because he is on a contract! If he says he is not re-signing this year he is walking off for free! Maybe then you would come and tell us whoever signed him is also weakening their league Only a biased, simple and hypocritical mind would claim it is simply when you buy from a direct rival that you weaken a league. By buying an Alba,Alves you have cherry-picked the best full-backs in the league and denied your contenders those players same with Villa! You have bought a proven player and weakened your rivals and the team your bought him from in one fell swoop! Man Utd bought Berbatov,Carrick,Young,Valencia,Jones,RVP all of them the best in the teams they were bought from systematically weakening 5 teams in the process and that is not even including their rivals that have been indirectly weakened judging by the fact that these players would not need any time to settle in unlike a player bought from another league Weakening is weakening whether from your rival or direct competitor so long as you poach their best players then you are weakening your league and hurting the other team's capacity to strengthen
Man united bought Berbatov, Carrick, Young, Valencia and Jones from Spurs, Spurs, Aston villa, Wigan and Blackburn respectively. In what world are those title contenders? When you weaken a mid table team, it affects them but not as much as a direct title rival cos they're not going to challenge for the league in the first place and it's good business on their part. |
I'm sure you were improving the La Liga when you snatched Alba and Villa from the same team! No wonder 37 pts can separate the 2nd from 3rd team in your league
Yes we were improving La liga as Valencia were having financial difficulties and were not not the same team they were 6 years ago. At least those moves had good effects on the league and national team of Spain. 1 world cup, back to back euro titles and a confederations cup final appearance. I wonder what the German national team has benefited from Bayern's monopoly of BuLi |
Lol at the Liverpool comparison even with similar UCL wins no sane man would compare Liverpool's pedigree in Europe to Bayern's never mind Barcelona A lost final counts when you are compiling the history of each team it shows you are at least one of the contenders every year! Its on record that only two teams have played more finals than us! It counts When would you stop whining at a freak occurrence and tell us why no team not named Real or Barcelona has won your league for the last 10 years almost When we met Man City with leadership of the group on the line and their "first-team" squad what was the result? Were they not brutally r@ped on their own soil. Next!
It's not as if I expected you to say anything different, after all you're a Bayern fan and you must be loving all the poaching away of the Gotzes and Lewys. Except you love losing, a lost final counts for nothing. Once you're in the final, you might as well win it instead of counting record final appearances. At least Arsenal have been one of the contenders for the past 17 seasons and they've only made one final. Why do you keep referring to when last another team apart from Barca/R.Madrid won the league, does it really matter? At least no matter who wins it, it's not with a 25point gap over the 2nd place with 8 games to spare. Btw, you can check for Valencia, they won it under Benitez some 9/10 seasons ago |
sleekdot: Isnt it rich and extremely hypocritical that a Barca fan that stole Sevillas best player Dani Alves from Seville when they were steadily becoming a force is now telling us about weakening Buli, Or the same Barca fan despite having Messi and Zlatan still took away Valencias best player David Villa(WHo was just shortlisted for WPOTY and Ballon D or). The same person is now telling us about weakening the Buli, I am sure he didnt remember they were weakening the La liga in his time. All these Bayern fans, y'all got the same rap. What has your defeat of Barca got to do with the weakened BuLi? You keep mentioning Valencia and Sevilla in the La liga but you fail to realize that these teams aren't traditionally league contenders, maybe in the copa but not the league. Why not mention the Real/Atletico Madrid's influential player that Barca has bought over the last few years or when there has been a league champion with 8 games to spare. As a genuine title contender, no club in any league sells its best player to a direct and even stronger rival. It's like Barca selling Messi to Real madrid or Real madrid selling Ronaldo to Barca, it won't happen! Why do you think Man united refused to sell Rooney to Chelsea? A mid table team can sell its best player to a rival in the same league, it's logical but not a direct rival selling its best player to a stronger rival. |
Yahoo1: Our match against Athletico Madrid...na home abi away?Away |
Roland17: ^^^^Stop deflecting the onus of the argument, the argument has nothing to do with bayerns record against opponents, but the already retrogressed level of competition in the Bundesliga owing to the monopoly enjoyed by Hollywood Fc especially in the transfer market within the Bundesliga..Exactly |
sleekdot: Can you give us the head to head record between Bayern and whichever team you support. I dont know which team you support but I can tell you they have been sodomised back and front by BayernLook, I'm not undermining Bayern's superiority in Europe as they're one of the powerhouse of European football, the argument is about how Bayern's transfer policy is hurting the BuLi. How can you sign the two best players of your only rival under a season and see nothing wrong with it, the same team you used 25points to win the league against and beat in the UCL final just last year. Bayern even went to the club world cup and no team could still topple them in the league at the very least pending the time they return. It just goes to show how much competition is in the BuLi. BTW, I'm a Barcelona FC fan |
sleekdot: Which record did we lose? We broke the 9 games winning streak and set a new one a 10 game record until you guys beat that keep quiet and respect your superiorsYou're still on that record thing! Ish…well if you were that good, why didn't you continue it or at least get the winning streak to 20? It's just an record man, nothing more. As for the bolded, tell that to teams in that monopolized league of yours. |
sleekdot: Over emphasizing a 10 match winning?Who said it's not a record? There are multitudes of UCL records if you're looking for them. BTW, you lost the record in bizarre fashion, which shows you're not immortal afterall |
Competition killers: Bayern's Lewandowski deal leaves Bundesliga butchered http://m.goal.com/x/en-ng/news/4521605 I don't know why these Bayern fans are arguing, y'all should be happy now |
sleekdot: If you dont know about Champions league records you can ask politely and you would be lecturedYou're over-emphasizing on the 10 match unbeaten thing, that's my point, not that it's not a record. If you're looking for champions league records, you'll find thousands of it, Bayern's 10 match winning streak is just another one of it |
sleekdot: Was it not in this same Europe that we went 10 games unbeaten? Or rimmed the champions of Spain 7-0 home and awaySo Bayern had a great season last season, so what? Which team hasn't done it before? You know Bayern hasn't won a trophy that hasn't been won before. The UCL knock out stage is here again, you'll see the team that'll challenge Bayern, just relax. In the mean time, enjoy your monopolized league |
sleekdot: Its a champions league record.Champions league record? Oh I see. Enjoy it then. A team just qualifying to the knock out stage for the first time like Man city coming from 2goals down to beat the defending champion is also a champions league record. So, there you go |
Scorecard is 5-4 and we've played more finals so say something else What is the difference? I put it to you that it is worse when you weaken multiple teams in the league than weakening just one! Keep emphasizing on one season! This same Dortmund beat us to the title back to back so you are not making any points Which team would find it easier to attract a replacement. A Dortmund,Madrid or a Valencia,Sevilla? You guys are the typical Nigerians that go to funerals and cry more than the bereaved. All this wailing is not coming from the goodness of your hearts. Yall are just mad that the strongest team in the world just became even stronger
Don't flatter yourself. Even Liverpool has won 5 but hasn't been in Europe for 6 years now. Win the UCL back to back then we can talk about breaking records. Talk about playing finals, a lost final is no different to a knock out round exit, winning it is paramount. Moreso the argument is not about Bayern in Europe, it's domestically we're talking about. Winning the league with a staggering 25points and 8 games to spare and then buying the two best players of your closest (the only team in that league of yours who can try to mount a challenge) rival. Which club/league allows that? In England, you can poach a rival's player but it's usually players like Arsenal's who have grown tired of being trophyless or Liverpool's who want European football but even with that they're still enough rivals to compete with and you won't win the league with 8 games to spare, Spain likewise. No need for argument na, at least you're happy your team is stronger and you can win this year's league with 12 games to spare. But it's in Germany oh, not Europe. Even a second string Man city won't take it from you |
sleekdot: How can one discuss football with twerps who don't know Bayern broke a cl winning record.Oh! That's what you call 'breaking-record'? Well you're a Bayern fan so it's a record to you. Well, how about winning the UCL trophy again then you can talk about breaking records |
A-40:It's different and you know it. See the clubs you mentioned; Valencia, sevilla. @ least we didn't buy Real madrid's best players like you did to a team you toppled with 25points just last season |
sleekdot: How much gap did Bayern give the whole of Europe. When they were beating the champions of Italy and Spain 11-0 or when bayern was breaking all records in the cl.Break records in the UCL, what records? You can't compare the UCL to your domestic league no matter what, it's not as if there's a league table that places clubs in positions and it's not like Bayern have won back to back UCL trophies. Yes I can smell the coffee and it smells Man city coming from 2 goals down to beat Bayern on her home turf. European monopoly?? If I hear |
dmcdad: Its likely he won't feature or maybe just a couple of minutes...I just confirmed he won't feature. #e pain me |
philfearon: Smh for Bundesliga..... .Na league na, only that the teams there fight for 2nd position |
Nomski0: Its official! Borussia Dortmund is officially the most foolish club in the Bundesliga! How dare they? How dare they sell Lewandowski after selling Gotze? What the hell?Imagine oh. Well sha, it's the bundesliga (monopolized league) |
Pataki: The morooonic dumb-bells will surely want to prove to you that you are wrong. But nothing can be far from the truth as you have rightly stated it. Little wonder it is termed: burndisleaguedown. It's clear for all to see, only the ignorant will deny it. A team that finished 25points above the 2nd team in the league last season and is currently having no competitor in the league has bought their closest rival's best two players. #German monopoly |
ddippset: The king is back to reclaim the lime light. I hope cristiano ronaldo enjoyed his best 2 months of the messi versus ronaldo era while it never lasted!Yes oh. Back with a bang. I need five goals from him against Elche (shay e no too much sha? ) |
@ logica, there's no need dragging this issue. Put yourself in FC Barcelona's shoes, what would you have done in the case of Abidal? The club stood with him during his first cancer, paid for his treatment and Puyol even gave him the captain armband, allowing him to lift the UCL trophy after the 2011 win. Barca didn't even let him go when the cancer came back, coinciding with Tito's cancer too, giving the club other battles to fight other than football's. Tito, the manager had to step down, how much more Abidal, an athlete. Pep wanted to sign him to Bayern but their management couldn't allow it cos of the health issues, Monaco just offered him a year contract to honor him as a former player and a french national. Barca is a top club competing for honors with strong clubs both locally and internationally, they can't afford to keep someone with health issues just because they want him to feel good. Take Fabrice Muamba of Bolton wanderers as an example, he was advised to quit playing after the collapse incident. If a club like Bolton can let go, what do you expect from a Barcelona FC. As for Silva, he already said Barca's offer wasn't good enough, his Abidal excuse is just him blabbing. NB: Abidal is always welcome in Barca, the fans still love him and to them (and me), he's a legend. |
