She can only add 20 points for Ielts of which she has 8 with the test score..i think the remaining 12 is insignificant compared to about 50 points you need to be in good standing. You can consider learning French or PNP Btw,is bsc your highest qualification? If yes,you can get another qualification to add. Am wondering why you have a low CRS score Periwinkle: I am the PA...could only muster 407 points |

Canny19: Which is better for my accompanying spouse to do.. ECA or ielts, I already have my masters degree evaluated. I have 8.5,7.5,7,7 in ielts. I don't want my spouse to wait 20 weeks for ices evaluation also I'm not certain she will ace ielts. I'm 30 with 2 years work experience. Ielts is better. She doesnt have to ace it,let her just study and do her best. ECA is expensive, takes lots of time and has few points compared to Ielts. |

joo2018: Only a small correction to the misrepresentation part.
It is only misrepresentation if you list yourself as single when you are already married.
You can always change from unaccompanied to accompanied, but as you noted, the points will be recalculated. Oh,that's true..thanks for the correction |

blazetitov: Thanks for this response.
I have a similar case. If i apply alone, that is; stating my spouse as non-accompanying, my CSR score is 464, but once i include her, it drops to 446. Her school just sent her transcript to WES yesterday and WAEC is still dozing. She will be writing ielts on 1st of August. Already missed the last 2 draws. Please what is the best approach to go through this as time is of the essence? What are the implications for her coming over if i enter the pool and state that she is non-accompanying.
OR is it better to go into the pool at 446 and update as her documents get ready? Since her evaluation has started, let the result come out before entering the pool. In the main time, she should take the Ielts, get the result, simulate your CRS again. If ts above 460,you stand a chance and can enter the pool. If ts below 460,just wait for her ECA to be ready also. |

Philips49: Really. Pls What does it entail to add spouse after ITA? Adding spouse after ITA is misrepresentation because you already listed them unaccompaning. Your CRS will be calculated and if you fall short of the draw of your ITA,I think it will be rejected or so Getting married after ITA, you add spouse and raise a CSE that you just got married..further instructions will be given Over to the bosses..i hope I am on track |

Blessfem: Kindly advise, my simulated crs is 460 as single applicant but I haven't entered the pool cos I am waiting for court wedding with my fiance and waiting for her to write ielts. However, today I stumbled on an info that I better dive into the pool and then add her post ita and after court wedding--in a month. Are my being misled. Please help me on what to do or refer me to a related posts that can help. Thanks. I don't think there's need for her ECA though,it's expensive, takes months and has few points. Since you are on 460 presently, enter the pool. If you get ITA at the next draw, add her post ITA. If you don't get ITA by the next draw,do the court wedding and encourage her to take and max out her IELTS. If you can be on 460 after her test, you have no worries. |

Collineno: Thank you for your response.
Do you know if I will need to pay for that? and how much to pay?
Besides am completing a foreign masters degree don't know if I will still need to go through this WAEC struggle.
My bachelor degree was in Nigeria.
Please house what would you advise I do? Waec/neco is compulsory if you are using WES for ECA.Budget about 30k for waec I think it's better you complete your masters and evaluate it for more CRS points.. |
