u use 9 if the structure is not frame structure.... But most Nigeria house ,the wall aare load bearing wall...meaning they help in carry in coming loads..
normally structure supposed to transfer loads in this sequence...

from suspended slab. (decking ) to beam to column then to foundation ...meaning u don't need block wall to carry anything ...

the best structure is frame structure.... u would just build without wall But. later u can introduced those partition walls since they are considered in the structural design

all these cement, rods are not up to standard if test is carried ouut ..... attimes u would see some cement mixed with ashes because they are refilled...

again client bring wahala because his friend told him he uuse 100 bagz of cement to cast hiis suspended slab(decking ) now think he too would use small amount not minding d area to b cover

u said u want to increase the warehouse height: from the initial building height now,chain tthe building round (meaning put a beam round )before adding the new block..

tthen secondlly create a new columns at some strategy points, the serve two main purpose
1. to carry new beam u want to introduce on the old wall
2. to carry the steel roof u want to introducee

Please stop misleading people, you are to provide structural plan and supervise it, builder provides the building production process.

civil engineer supervise the building tech in carrying out the drawing drawn by the architect.....
civil engineer interpreted both the architectural and structural drawing for the build tech to carry out....

well, am engineer too but what I notice was that the AutoCAD software is easily learn anywhere..... people without the knowledge of building or drawing don't have the knowledge of what the building entails, once u can draw line ,offset it,trim it etc and using different modeling software, u have automatically become an engineer/ architect.. ...

and again clients cause the problem.. they want cheap package and better results..... example u go to architect for a building plan of 3 bedroom, he said minimum of 40k but u go to a road side architect,he said oga bring 20k jare..... u see d different.. but now the engineer would face many challenges about the drawing on site.....

ministry also partake, because dey don't check drawing b4 approval, once u have paid d necessary dues....dey just sign and approved... no checking it
