In our church, people rarely introduce me. I just
carry my Bible and walk to the altar. What is the
introduction for? I would not even allow them to
carry my Bible. If they carry my Bible, will they carry my mouth? Will they carry my message? I remember going to a church to preach sometime ago. And someone stood on the altar to speak. He wanted to introduce the host pastor who would, in turn, introduce me. He said, "I want to tell you about someone; someone that has changed my life..." As he began to say more things, I thought he was talking about God. Frankly speaking, the way he spoke about the man, I thought it was God He was talking about. But when he finished, he said, "Can we receive my papa, my daddy in the Lord..." I sank in my chair. I said in my heart, "People are talking about you like this and you accept it?" That was what Herod did and God sent an angel to slap him. He was consumed by warms on the spot (Acts 12:23). I sank in my chair. Nevertheless, the host pastor got the microphone and obviously, it was normal. By the time he finally invited me to come and preach, frankly speaking, the anointing had died. There was no move, no flow, nothing. They had killed the atmosphere before inviting me into that mess. I went to that altar with weakness and trembling. I had to sing and worship for about thirty minutes, just to try and beg God and ask for mercy, and thank God, His mercy came. Then the service was very wonderful. At the end, I asked the host pastor in the hotel room, "Did you accept those things they were saying about you? Did you accept to be praised like that?" He got angry. And that was the last time I was to be there. I have never been there again. And I can tell you that the history of that place is not something to write home about. When you over-celebrate yourself, God may withdraw His help so that you can see your unclothedness. When you think your wealth is your making, and your prosperity is your making, or the anointing you carry is your making, God will withdraw a little, so you can see how naked you are without Him. The renowned evangelist, Benny Hinn, said one day, he went before the God to pray and he said to God, "Please, do not take your anointing from me. It is all I have." And God told him, "Do not ask me not to take it, rather, ask me to return it, because I took it away a long time ago." He lay on his face for two weeks waiting on the Lord, away from human presence... He remembered what became of Samson when the anointing had left him. That is what pride, self exaltation and arrogance can do to a man. God showed mercy on Benny Hinn and restored His presence in his life. We were going for a programme somewhere and our officers were using double trafficator. I begged them to put off the trafficator lights. I felt absolutely uncomfortable. What if we entered with so much fanfare, pomp and pageantry as if it is Jesus entering Jerusalem, and by the time we get there, God says, "Okay, perform the miracles. See the sick, heal them. See the unbelievers, save them. Perform! I am waiting for you..." What would we do? Today, our protocol officers are aware that they do not have to make any ostentatious, braggadocios entry into any event or occasion. The Bible says, "What have you that you have not received? And if you have received it, why do you behave as if you give it to yourself?" (1Cor.4:7) This is what is limiting people. Get this: if it is the apostolic anointing you have, there are more apostles that have gone before and beyond you. Ayi Kwei Armah wrote a book titled The Beautiful Ones are not Yet Born. In case you think you are beautiful, you have not seen beautiful people yet. In case you say you are anointed, you have not seen anointing yet. In case you say you are called, you have not seen calling yet, so calm down. Imagine a young boy of twenty two or twenty three years of age who calls himself an apostle or prophet. He is running and elderly people are running after him. Imagine! Your father is calling you papa and you are not afraid? A person who can give birth to you calls you papa and you agree? And you say, "Yes, how are you?" That person has no future. He is a short distance runner. He is not a marathon runner. Marathon runners do not behave like that. This is one thing that destroys the destinies of many pastors and children of God. They are too proud... God needs to chisel something out of your life! Say to Him today: "Lord, is there anything in my life that makes me unusable? Anything You need to chisel? Go ahead and chisel it out." - Dr. Paul Enenche (Thou Art My Battle Axe)

Every man or woman you have sex with deposits
and leaves a part of their soul in you. Most of us
haven't been properly educated about sex. It's almost a taboo to discuss these things outside of private matters but the silence leads to lack of awareness of what it even means.I mean it is the most powerful force that creates life. Most see it as a physical experience but forget the bond, the connection, energy exchange and deep cellular one experiences with their partner. When a man or woman decides to have multiple sex partners it can send mixed emotional signals to the body's vibration system. People must be careful of different energies and spiritual forces polluting their internal temple. Sex is referred to as sexual INTER-COURSE because it's an internal course that unites man and woman, mind and mind, spirit and spirit. This is something that a condom can't protect you against because energy is behind the elements of all flesh. On a physical level we have been educated to use "protection" but on an energy level nobody discusses the effects it creates on ones mind and soul. It's too much of a taboo and hidden away to avoid. Be one aware of what's going on, even if you've never heard before, just ponder on it. |
Oily skin may be a scourge for the men and
women who have it. For one thing, it makes a
person more susceptible to breakouts when the
oils combine with bacteria on the skin to clog
pores and hair follicles. Moreover, women tend
to suffer more from the oily skin because they
put on pore-clogging makeup and because of the
hormonal fluctuations that come from taking
birth control pills, pregnancy or menopause. It seems everyone subject to oily skin suffers particularly bad bouts of it during adolescence. But all is not lost. There are several things a person with oily skin should not do to keep control of the situation. Here are eight of them: 1. Don’t Smoke Dermatologists have long known that smoking, or even exposure to cigarette smoke, worsens oily skin. Smoking depresses the body’s levels of vitamin A, a vitamin which is essential to the health of the skin. One of the things that vitamin A does is keep the sebaceous glands in the skin from overproducing sebum, a mix of fats and oils. Vitamin A also helps skin cells slough off when they die. A build-up of dead skin cells mixed with an overproduction of oil often results in acne. 2. Stay Away From Heat and Humidity Heat and humidity are also culprits when it comes to promoting oily skin. They cause people to sweat, and sweating exacerbates oily skin. On top of this, heat and humidity may cause heat rash. This happens when the sweat glands are closed off because they are trapped in tight clothing or dressings. Dermatologists recommend people counter the high heat and humidity with a night cleanser that has salicylic acid as an ingredient. It should be put on at night, before bedtime, because salicylic acid makes the skin more sensitive to the sun. 3. Avoid Harsh Soap Most bar soaps are too harsh for people with oily skin, and they are especially bad if the skin is both oily and sensitive. A mild, fragrance-free cleanser is the best for people with oily skin. Another good idea is not to vigorously scrub the face when washing. This just irritates the skin and strips it of the oils it needs to stay supple. 4. Do Not Use Hot Water To Wash the Face This seems counterintuitive but hot water is bad for oily skin. That’s because hot water dries the skin out, and the skin compensates by producing floods of oil. On the other hand, cold water does not cleanse well. The best temperature for water to wash the face with is comfortably warm 5. Don’t Overwash the Face Washing the face more than three times a day also strips it of oils and irritates the skin. Wash two to three times a day with a mild cleanser that’s gently rubbed into the skin and then rinsed with warmish water. A good cleanser is a gel that has salicylic acid and foams when it’s applied. 6. Be Wary of Astringents Even people with oily skin should stay away from astringents unless their skin is extremely oily. Even then, dermatologists recommend that the astringent only be used once a week. Astringents will dry the skin out to the point where it will overcompensate with more oil the way it does when assaulted with hot water and harsh soaps. 7. Do Not Pop Pimples It is very tempting to want to pop an unsightly pimple, especially when it crops up at a really bad time, like just before a party or a night out. Squeezing a pimple only leads to scars and angry red marks. 8. Don’t Use Oil-Based Makeup Women should avoid oil-based makeup and use make-up with a base made of powder, liquid or gel. Buy cosmetics that are hypo- or nonallergenic and don’t clog the pores. This type of make-up is labeled noncomedogenic. These eight prescriptions should go a long way in keeping oily skin manageable for both men and women. |

CRIMINALS
...
If they were not, there is NO way: -A man with NO Certificate will grow to the Rank of A Military GENERAL. -A Budget thief will fight corruption -A man Nominated by Bokoharam will as their middle man will be forced to Power under a democratic rule. -A Coup Plotter will contest an election. -A man who looted the treasury as a petroleum minister will be believed to be fighting corruption. -A man with certificate disability as president Name it. I understand his reasons.. Nigeria system is corrupt, the name Nigeria alone is scam! |
The Eagle does not fight the snake on the
ground. It picks it up into the sky and changes
the battle ground, and then it releases the snake
into the sky. The snake has no stamina, no power and no balance in the air. It is useless, weak and vulnerable unlike on the ground where it is powerful wise and deadly. Take your fight into the spiritual realm by praying and when you are in the spiritual realm God takes over your battles. Don't fight the enemy in his comfort zone, change the battle grounds like the Eagle and let God take charge through your earnest prayer. You'll be assured of clean victory. Pray without ceasing.

Wednesday, 10 February 2016 TOPIC: BEARING FRUITS FOR THE KINGDOM SCRIPTURE: “I am the true vine and my father is the husbandman, every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away and every branch that beareth fruit he purgeth it that it may bring forth much fruit” – John 15:1- 2. THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: If you want Jehovah to be your workman, make fruit-bearing your priority. Every child of God is called to be productive and reproductive. There is a demand on us not just to reproduce ourselves physically, but also spiritually. When you surrender your life as a seed, fruits come out of your life (John 4:36). Your Christianity has not yet been confirmed genuine until someone has started going to Church and serving God genuinely because of you. Bearing fruits for the Kingdom means living to affect the eternal destinies of men by redirecting them from the prospect of eternity in hell to the possibility of eternity in Heaven. Rewards of bearing Fruits in the Kingdom: 1. Fruit Bearing attracts the workmanship of God in the life of the fruitful. If you are winning souls and populating the Kingdom, the Bible says, ‘… every branch that beareth fruit, He purgeth….’ To purge here means removing from your life whatever does not belong to your system that is a distraction to your fruit bearing. If you want Jehovah to be your workman, make fruit bearing your priority. 2. Spiritual impact brings spiritual authority. When the disciples came back from the assignment of soul winning, they connected power (Luke 10:17-19). Assignment brings authority, working for God empowers you to deal with the enemy. Remember this: If you want Jehovah to be your workman, make fruit bearing your priority. ASSIGNMENT(S): 1. Make evangelism a priority in your life. 2. Mobilise other Christians into the assignment of soul winning. PRAYER: O LORD, I ask for the grace to live for You. I demand for the zeal, energy, and strength to work for You in Jesus’ Name. FOR FURTHER UNDERSTANDING, GET THIS UNDERSTANDING: MAKING THE MOST OF LIFE (PT 2). MY FATHER'S ADVICE TO ME WHEN I WAS
SEARCHING FOR A WIFE... WOW By Jerry John Rawlings The Former Ghana President My son, I will be very raw and sincere with you. Do not worry about the size of a woman buttock or breast but worry about the size of her heart and brain. Worry about the size of her love and endurance. Because after 5 or 10 years, it will not be about the breast or buttock. As you can see, your mum now has a flat chest and almost flat buttock but we still live together happily, I still love her and she still love me. Be careful of a woman that loves money. I mean the woman that talks ‘every time’ about her hair, cloths, shoes, bags panties and make-ups. Marriage is not all about these things. Without make-up, cloths, shoes and panties a good marriage will still stand but without love, no marriage can stand. When I got married to your mum, I didn’t have a car or house of my own. I was not even educated. But I had dreams and she appreciate and support me. Any woman that does not support your dream is not worth thinking-a- minute about. There are women that will see your dreams better than you, you are lucky if you find one, My son, open your ears very well, there is a kind of woman you should avoid, do not make a mistake to marry this kind of woman or you will regret it. I mean a woman that always has bad things to say about everyone. If you see this kind of woman, run away. One of the worst kind of woman you can marry is the one that complains about everything. If you buy this, she says you should have bought that, if you do this, she said you should have done that. Please stay away! Most women enjoy talking but the one who talks for two hours and listen for two minutes is a potential ‘bomb’. Be wise Be very careful of a pretending partner. A pretending woman is not hard to know. She will always know everything about everything, she will be careful. Just close your eyes and open your heart and you will see! No woman is perfect. If you see a woman who believes in your dream , who respects you who is committed and who is not all about herself alone then don’t let her go. But remember, you must not be a wayward man. I have trained you! If you find a good woman but you are a bad man, you wont have a good marriage! I won’t pick a wife for you but I have given you my advice. When you find her, bring her for my blessings. May you find a woman that will increase you not decrease you.. |

SCRIPTURE: “Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do,
do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor
device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave,
whither thou goest” – Ecclesiastes 9:10. THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Your assignment as a Christian is to show the world or your fellow employees how to work. Wisdom simply is, applied information. It is knowing what to do, and doing what you know. So, in other not to operate in mediocrity or be under-productive at your work place, wisdom is inevitable. Now, what are the necessities of wisdom to your work? 1. You exist as a representative of God and as a pace setter to the ungodly at the work of place. Your assignment as a Christian is to show the world or your fellow employees how to work. That is, you are to set the pace not to keep the pace. Unbelievers should know what it means to display excellence, be dutiful and faithful to work because they see it in you (Matthew 5:14). Beloved, unbelievers study your attitude and approach to work. They would want to know how a child of God practices as a doctor, engineer, typist, editor, or even as a business person. 2. You are designed to excel and rise to your God given position of authority. This means, you are to work until you rise to the top. I see you rise to the top as you determine to represent God in the delivery of excellence to your work in Jesus’ Name. Remember this: Your assignment as a Christian is to show the world or your fellow employees how to work. ASSIGNMENT(S): 1. Make up your mind to give your best to your assignment. 2. Determine to represent God everywhere, especially at the place of work. FOR FURTHER UNDERSTANDING, GET THIS MESSAGE: WORKPLACE AND CAREER WISDOM PART 2. PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for Your Word to me today, I make demands for the grace Oh Lord, to represent You in excellence with my work in Jesus’ Name. TOPIC;
STANDING BY GRACE SCRIPTURE: For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; – Titus 2:11-12. THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Grace makes us to stand in uprightness and not be swallowed up by generational iniquity and apostasy. I discovered in the course of searching the Scriptures that there are two major things that make people stand in life. The first thing is faith (Romans 11:20) . The second thing is Grace. It is the Grace of God that makes the child of God, to stand on solid ground. The meaning of this is, outside the grace of God, it is very easy to fall flat in front of various situations of life. Now, what does grace make us to stand in? 1. Grace makes us to stand in uprightness. Grace makes us stand in uprightness and not to be swallowed by generational iniquity and apostasy. The Bible says that the love of many people shall wax cold because iniquity shall abound (Matthew 24:12) . We live in a world of conformity and compromise; it takes grace not to be like the world even though we are in the world. From our anchor scripture, we understand that grace gives us the power to say ‘No’ to sin. So, one way that grace makes us to stand is to make us to say ‘No’ to sin. It is grace makes us to say no when there’s pressure to conform to the standard of this world and be like the rest. I decree on your life today, that grace is coming upon you in Jesus’ Name. Remember this: Grace makes us to stand in uprightness and not be swallowed up by generational iniquity and apostasy. ASSIGNMENT(S): 1. Make demands on the grace of God to say ‘No’ to sin. 2. Make up your mind to be different from others. PRAYER: O LORD, I ask for the grace to say ‘No’ to every form of ungodliness. Help me LORD to stay connected to you, in Jesus’ Name. FOR FURTHER UNDERSTANDING, GET THIS MESSAGE: STANDING BY GRACE. QUOTE: It is only those who remain in God’s presence that are entitled to unconditional protection from Him. Culled from THE PROTOCOL OF THE ARK by Dr Becky Enenche. DAILY READING: Genesis 20:1 to 22:24, Matthew 7:15 to 29, Psalm 9:1 to 12, Proverbs 2:16 to 22. Wednesday, 06 January 2016 TOPIC; THE BENEFITS OF WALKING IN LOVE SCRIPTURE: He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. – 1 John 4:8. THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Lovelessness equals peoplelessness. Our anchor Scripture reveals that God is the God of love. It is also important to note that Jesus came to die for us on the basis of love. This is why He preached and healed the sick by love. Also, the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of love (Galatians 5:22) . Since God is the God of love, Jesus died for us out of love and the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of love, so if we must walk with God, we must walk in love and serve one another in love (Amos 3:3) . What are the benefits of walking in love? a) Love is the key to commanding human attention and attraction. Love is a spiritual attractant and a human magnet; it has the ability to magnetize people to a person. It is not enough to teach people but more important to touch people. Lovelessness equals peoplelessness. b) Love is a seed that germinates. What you sow in love today determines what you will reap in harvest tomorrow. Therefore, anytime you offer service, see it as a seed. Be seed conscious so that you can live well. Today, I curse every root of bitterness in you, receive the grace to walk in love in Jesus’ Name. Remember this: Lovelessness equals peoplelessness. ASSIGNMENT(S): 1. Make a decision to love people around you. 2. Do this by showing a practical action of love. PRAYER: O LORD, I pray for the Spirit of love and the grace to love people around me. Uproot every root of bitterness and unforgiveness from my life LORD, in Jesus’ Name. FOR FURTHER UNDERSTANDING, GET THIS MESSAGE: MINISTERING IN LOVE. QUOTE: The more you walk in love the more like God you become. Culled from REASON FOR LIVING by Dr Paul Enenche. SCRIPTURE: By much slothfulness the building decayeth; and through idleness of the hands the house droppeth through. – Ecclesiastes 10:18. THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: A life that is not engaged degenerates and dilapidates. Our God is the Author and Giver of life. His intention for giving us life is to make the most of it. When we live life to the full, we are fulfilled. From our anchor scripture, we can see that slothfulness makes a building (which is likened to our body – 1 Corinthians 6:19 ) to decay. The meaning of this is, when the hand is idle, life decays. A life that is not fully engaged rapidly degenerates and dilapidates. For example, someone who has retired from active civil service and does not engage himself in other areas of life begins to fall sick. If you must live your life to the full, you must make the most of it by engaging yourself fully. How then do you live a life that is fully engaged? a) Living to worship and serve God. b) Living to change lives for God. c) Living to make impact and add value to lives. d) Living to release full potentials e) Living in quality relationship with others f) Living as a generation problem solver. If you engage your life in any of these areas, you are making the most of it. I decree the death of anything that causes lethargy and weariness in your life in Jesus Name. Remember this: The life that is not engaged degenerates and dilapidates. ASSIGNMENT(S): 1. Deal with every form of idleness in your life. 2. Confront the spirit of inactivity, laziness by engaging yourself in active work and service. 3. Ask God to show you what to do. 4. Do it now. PRAYER: O LORD, deal with every lethargy in my life. Engage me in Your service LORD, in Jesus Name. FOR FURTHER UNDERSTANDING, GET THE MESSAGE: MAKING THE MOST OF YOUR LIFE (PART 1). QUOTE: The higher you will want to fly in life, the harder you will have to work. Culled from 30 SECRETS TO THE TOP by Dr Paul Enenche. SCRIPTURE: ‘After this manner pray ye, our
father, which art in heaven, hallowed be Thy
name’. – Matthew 6:9. THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Prayer tools are tools that help one pray correctly and effectively. God created us in order to commune with Him (Mark 3:13-14) . One of the most potent weapons of communication with God is Prayer (Philippians 4:6) . To pray effectively therefore, prayer tools are needed. Prayer tools are tools that help one pray correctly and effectively. Just as tools ease work, prayer tools aid you to pray well. What then are the tools that make prayer effective? What are the tools that guarantee precision, excellence and eliminate sweat and toil in prayer? 1. The revelation of the Word. 2. Atmosphere of worship. 3. A listening or hearing attitude. 4. Faith expectation; come before God with faith and expectation. 5. Availability of Scripture and scriptural aids; always be in possession of a Bible and a concordance if possible. 6. The testimonies of previous acts of God either for you or someone else. 7. Writing tools/writing materials; always have a pen and paper in your possession in order to write down what God reveals. 8. Persistence in the spirit. This is praying and not giving up until the answer comes. 9. A vision of the expected outcome. As you use each of these tools, I decree ease and effectiveness in your prayer life in Jesus’ Name. Remember this: Prayer tools are tools that help one pray correctly and effectively. ASSIGNMENT (S): 1. Go through the passage again. 2. Use each of these tools when you pray. PRAYER: O LORD, shift my prayer life to the next level, help me to pray effectively. Give me the discipline LORD to pray with each of the prayer tools in Jesus Name. FOR FURTHER UNDERSTANDING, GET THIS MESSAGE: PRAYER TOOLS. QUOTE: When we come into His presence, nothing else is needed for us to encounter Him; He is more than enough. Every other form of furniture or equipment becomes irrelevant. Saturday, 02 January 2016 00:00 FAVOUR: THE PRODUCT OF VISION SCRIPTURE: For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield. – Psalms 5:12. THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Favour is kindness shown to someone beyond what is due or usual. Favour is the act of kindness shown to someone beyond what is due or usual. Vision, on the other hand, is a mental picture of a preferred future. It has been confirmed that favour travels with vision. Men and women of vision are men and women of favour. Daniel was character in the Bible who was a man of vision, and was followed by favour. In Daniel chapter 1:8, the Bible tells us how Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the king’s food; it shows us a man of purpose and vision. And in verse 9, Daniel got favour: ‘Now God had brought Daniel into favour….with the prince of the eunuchs.’ To be a person of vision, therefore, is to be a person of favour. The favour of God on the life of Daniel made him not only to be loved by God but also loved by men. Daniel’s exploits spanned through the generations of four different kings because he was a man of vision and favour. My counsel is, discover the purpose of God for your life and make it your vision for living and the favour of God will run after you. I prophesy on you today that your life will become relevant and irreplaceable like that of Daniel. Remember this: Favour is the kindness shown to someone beyond what is due or usual. ASSIGNMENT(S): 1. Ask God for the impartation of unusual favour on your life. 2. Pray for the rekindling of your life’s vision. PRAYER: O LORD, I ask for the impartation of Your favour on my life. Rekindle my vision for living, O LORD, in Jesus’ Name. FOR FURTHER UNDERSTANDING, GET THIS MESSAGE: UNDERSTANDING FAVOUR. QUOTE: Vision is the insight into God’s plan for a man’s life. SCRIPTURE: Now the Lord had said unto Abram,
Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred,
and from thy father's house, unto a land that I
will shew thee: – Genesis 12:1 THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Without a clear definition of destination, frustration is inevitable. Today is the first day of the year, 2016. We are grateful to God for the privilege of seeing another year. I would like us to consider the life of vision as we begin this year because a clear definition of a destination is critical to every journey. Someone said, “If you do not know where you are going, you may not like where you will end.” So, in 2016, if we do not know where we are going we may not like where we will end. Without a clear definition of destination, frustration is inevitable. The question then is, what is vision? 1. Vision is a clear definition of life’s destination. A person with a life of vision says, ‘In 2016, where am I heading to? 2. Vision is a clear picture of a preferred future. What kind of future do you prefer this year? To live by chance is to end by chance. 3. Vision is the direction of life’s motion. This implies asking yourself questions like, “What is the direction of my life? What reason do I wake up this morning?” As a businessman or a pastor, it is vision that determines what direction your life is heading. My counsel is, develop a solid vision for this year in order to end very well. Remember this: without a clear definition of destination, frustration is inevitable. ASSIGNMENT(S): 1. Sit down to cultivate a solid vision for this year. 2. Take practical action steps to fulfill the outlined vision in number 1 above. PRAYER: O LORD, give me a solid vision for this year, 2016. Give me the grace, LORD, to pursue this vision with all tenacity, in Jesus Name. 2016: The Year of Commonsense! Lets make 2016 #TheYearofCommonsense as against one where the powerful are accused of looting yet its the powerless whose ATMs are restricted. Lets make 2016 #TheYearofCommonsense as against a year when those elected to change things blame those who lost election and no longer have no power to change things. Lets make 2016 #TheYearofCommonsense in which we achieve real victories against our enemies rather than technical victories. Lets make 2016 #TheYearofCommonsense where youths work together for their future rather than fight each other for politicians gain. Lets make 2016 #TheYearofCommonsense a year of full and total Freedom of Speech and bury forever any thought of censoring Social Media users. Lets make 2016 #TheYearofCommonsense where the promise to pay job seekers an allowance of ₦5000 is actualized not rationalized. Lets make 2016 #TheYearofCommonsense as against a year when some Governors plotted to reduce a minimum wage less than what they spend on their dogs! Lets make 2016 #TheYearofCommonsense as against one where fuel sells at the official price in rich areas like Ikoyi, Victoria Island and Maitama but sells at over official price in poor villages. Lets make 2016 #TheYearofCommonsense not a year where PDP members are washed free from corruption once they decamp to the APC. My name is Ben Murray-Bruce and I just want to make Commonsense! |
Thursday, 31 December 2015 TOPIC; BEING UNDER AUTHORITY TO BE IN AUTHORITY SCRIPTURE: For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it. – Matthew 8:9 THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: To be a leader, you must be a learner. The will of God for His children is to be in positions of authority. God is not a God of mediocrity and hence, He does not desire any of His children to live a life of mediocrity. To live in mediocrity, therefore, is an abuse of Christianity. Now, how does God place one in authority? What is the key to being in authority? The key is simple: be under authority. From our anchor scripture, the centurion said “I am a man under authority.” That means that the centurion, though in authority was under another authority. Beloved, please remain under authority because to be in authority, you must be under authority. Nobody can successfully be in authority who is not under authority. To be a leader, you must be a learner. Nobody can be a successful leader without being a successful learner. Instruction is a prerequisite for distinction. Instruction is the pathway to distinction. You have to remain under instruction if you want to see distinction. You should never agree to have arrived at any point in your life. Remember, those who arrive too soon arrive too small. Whenever you think you have reached your peak, you are only set for the pit. Make up your mind that you are not yet at your peak. Keep on keeping on. I once heard Papa Bishop Oyedepo say, “No star can function at his best without a role model. You do not play your role at your best without a role model.” Beloved, place yourself under instruction, and as you do so, I believe your day of unusual authority has arrived. Remember this: To be a leader, you must be a learner ASSIGNMENT(S): 1. Make up your mind never to arrive too soon; do not be too big to be instructed 2. Learn from everything and everyone. PRAYER: Help me LORD to remain under authority regardless of my status in life. Give me the grace to learn from everything and everyone, in Jesus’ Name. Wednesday, 30 December 2015 TOPIC; THE PROOF OF LOVE SCRIPTURE: Love endures long and is patient and kind; love never is envious nor boils over with jealousy, is not boastful or vainglorious, does not display itself haughtily. – 1 Corinthians 13:4 (AMP) THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Until we release the past, we cannot receive the future. In 1 John 4:8 , the Bible makes it clear that God is love. Therefore, to walk with God, you must work in love (Amos 3:3) . Nobody can walk with God with hatred in their hearts towards their neighbour. This is because God is love. Love cannot be without proofs. What then are the proofs of love? 1. Love is kind and generous; love gives. Love is a giver of resources, time and attention. A lover is a value creator and an enhancer. When love is at work, kindness and generosity become natural. As a worker who serves God in church, someone should be able to encounter you and go home smiling with a lasting positive impression. 2. Love is courteous and not rude. Love exudes courtesy and politeness regardless of your status. For instance, if you are a billionaire and you greet someone politely, will that reduce your financial worth? Until we learn courtesy, we lack future. Love treats other people with value and respect. Do not look down on people or underrate them. 3. Love is not irritable, touchy, quarrelsome or offense- ready. There are people who are like bombs waiting to be detonated. Love is not like that. Love is not picky. People lose jobs and placement because of their irritable disposition. 4. Love forgives Love easily releases offences; it does not keep malice or grudge. Love does not remember yesterday’s offenses and forfeit tomorrow’s progress. And until we release the past, we cannot receive the future. I prophesy upon you the grace to release all offences today in Jesus’ Name. Remember this: Until we release the past, we cannot receive the future. ASSIGNMENT(S): 1. Ask God to saturate your heart with love. 2. Make a daily practice of showing love to someone. 3. Refuse to allow grudges settle in your heart. PRAYER: O LORD, I ask for the saturation of my heart with love for You. Help me LORD to make practical demonstration of love a daily habit in Jesus’ Name.
