thelastPope: Was it not the "fast" decision by Yaradua to kill their leader that triggered the whole bloodletting? You dont know what you are talking about. Yaradua pursued the ND militants for over one year and failed woefully before he decided to embrace the amnesty proposal. It was Yaradua's failure that eventually led to the death of thousands of people.

In defense to all my optically challenged friends above, its actually a bit harder to read off a screen than to read from a book, and nairaland fonts don't exactly help matters.
But in2 things caught my attention and he was right in both counts.
The fact that the average nigerian feels more patriotic to his tribe compared to his sense of pride for is country.
Also love the part where we d masses expect politicians to "drop something" before we vote for them and still open our mouths and complain latter.
A typical example is uduaghan of delta state. People say he he eating government money, but I say he is recouping his investment.
One can only wonder how many million he sprayed through out all d villages in delta when campaigning.
In summary....he is J̶̲̥̅̊u̶̲̥̅̊S̤̥̈̊τ̲̣̣̥ saying that we should shove our arses of our laptops and iphones and do something about the nation we are complaining so much about.
We should stop a "them" against "us" mentality as this will most definitely lead to "them" wining
Stop all from of selfish and self interest groups and notion that don't have the interest of nigeria..I.e J̶̲̥̅̊u̶̲̥̅̊S̤̥̈̊τ̲̣̣̥ the same way than when the super eagles win, that "NIGERIAN" pride supersedes any other form of tribal or regional feeling, so also we should carry that pride in all we do. Etc etc etc
