I think he should come down from his highly elevated throne and see the likes of Saraki and Dogara as a bitter fact, that he has no option than to work with them if the country must make progress. IF I see him I will have this idiom for him"Treat Saraki and likes, like a 'mad cow in the market'. I refer you to section 1 of the 1999 Constitution as amended.

Section 11 of the interpretation Act says where a nominees that was sent to the National Assembly for confirmation but was rejected or fail to be confirmed, the president should re send his name for confirmation, but if he further fails to be confirmed, the nominee should continue to act as an acting chairman at
the pleasure of the president.
by implication, if the president decided to allow magu to continue as an acting chairman, magu would continue to act through out the tenure of Mr. president
