I had to pray for Tinubu's victory because at a point I couldn't stand the rudeness and obnoxious attitude of the so-called disobedients! I hope they learn from this I prayed from Tinubu victory since 2017! |

Philgafauto: Nigerians and Christians, I hope you are sitting down. I am going to blow your mind. I am going to share with you the secret of life. Ready? Good. THERE IS NO GOD. Your success or failure is all dependent on you so wishing and praying does not further anything for you. Life is like a casino and you can never hit 7 every time. You win some, you lose some. The only thing you can do is prepare yourself for when you hit 7 and take full advantage of it.
Bringing the foregoing within the context of Nigerian politics, i will say that the reason many young people and Christians are hurt is because we have a simplistic view of this life. Because western civilization is built on Judeo-Christian values, we have clung so much to religion (Christianity) that we believe there is a divine being that solves our problems and will come down to dispense justice according to our notion of good and evil. This misconception has made so many christians complacent, while forgetting that humans are basically higher animals who will go to any length to acquire power and wealth. Bola Ahmed Tinubu is the personification of all Nigerian Christians have come to acknowledge is wrong and evil. He has nebulous origins, his shadowy educational background, long history of drug smuggling, connections with the criminal underworld in Nigeria and so many other vices too many to comprehend. But the man is a genius at understanding that the African societies in general and Nigeria in particular is not yet fully evolved in the sense that our institutions are weak and corrupt. His presidential ambitions date back to the 90s when he was an acolyte to late Bashorun MKO Abiola and he began his network his then. I will come back to this later in the write up.
You see Nigerians and fellow Christians, evil rules in this world and if you are not ready to play within the evolutionary boundaries of your society, you will continue to fail in your endeavors. The rot in Nigeria is fundamental and systemic but it came to a head for me personally in the early 2000s when our young men began indulging in cybercrime and they made headway and have continued to thrive above and beyond clean and legit citizens. This rot has now permeated our political, judicial and military system. I am a lawyer by profession and i remember the question asked by late Justice Chukwudifo Oputa (of blessed memory) that if the judiciary is corrupt, where should the people go? If the executive is corrupt, you go to the judiciary for redress, if the legislature is corrupt, you find your way to the judiciary for relief, but when the judiciary is corrupt, where do you go? This poser aptly captures the predicament of Nigeria today. As a lawyer and a Nigerian, it pains me that we have to go through this mess to realize how royally f*cked we are. If we had as a society relegated religion and elevated practical nation building, with strong critical state institutions, there is no way Bola Ahmed Tinubu would have been able to defeat all our institutions no matter how much billions he had. If we had strong institutions, he would not even had been a Governor in Lagos State. Anyways, that is water under under the bridge and in a few hours time he would be sworn in as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. And for the record, no non-existent God or sky daddy will do shit about it. We got ourselves into this situation because we are blindly religious, not fully evolved as human beings and we have millions of illiterates all over the country.
When the white man says blacks cannot build a functional society, it is not racism but the fact. A strong virile society is built on the bedrock of the rule of law, not prayers and prophecies. That is why the Americans say "so that we have a society of laws and not of men". Even the US, the bastion of democracy and Christianity are still not totally free from the frailties of human nature. Corruption and executive overreach still rears its ugly head in that model society. That is why the founding fathers of America took many months to craft the American constitution and the Bill of Rights in the commonwealth of Pennsylvania, ensured that the guiding document had inbuilt structures to guard against rampant corruption and state capture. That is why the 2nd amendment (gun rights) was built into the constitution-- because the founding fathers, even though christians, knew that the citizens must have the right to defend themselves against their government. Enough of the American histrionics.
As for Nigeria, we should know that our supreme court derives its authority from the compliance of every strata of society to its rulings and dictates. Put simply, that institution is only as strong as we make it. Same goes for the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Section 1(2) of Nigeria's Constitution says the government shall derive its authority and legitimacy from the people of Nigeria. There are salient provisions which stipulates the requirements for any individual to be sworn in as the President but a few strong men have ignored that and want to swear in Bola Ahmed Tinubu in a few hours from now. Like i said earlier, no God will intervene because societies are built by human beings. Even in our individual lives, it is our hardwork and efforts that pay off and not any prayer. This election should teach Christians to be practical with their lives, plan, educate yourself and your families, know thy enemies/adversaries and adopt the can do spirit. Do not allow any Man of God or GO to deceive you that one sky daddy will bless you without hard work and enterprise. Do not allow them to feed you with fake prophecies going forward. If you have the means, you can emigrate and raise your families in advanced countries. Nigeria is not getting any better soon because the foundation of the country is faulty.
On an individual level, do all it takes to make it and depend less on prayer. Plan for the long haul like our incoming President who saw that Nigeria is corrupt and was savvy enough to build a crony capitalist system in Lagos State that enabled him pilfer trillions of naira from of the coffers Lagos State to buy our critical institutions and the Presidency. Though corrupt, we cannot deny his organizational and tactical acumen. He, being the robber baron that he is, knows that, other than the few western nations, most of the countries in the world are still backward, with weak institutional and legal frameworks to guard against state capture. While you absorb the pain of seeing Tinubu being sworn in in a few hours' time, don't dwell on it too much, but let it be a realization that good most times never prevails against evil in the real world as opposed to what your religious leaders tell you. You are not different from them. Tinubu is not all those bad names you called him. |

Politics › Re: Tinubu, Another Evil Illegitimate President by Basic123: 6:43pm On May 28, 2023 |
Bebigiby1: Nairaland deleted my last political post (See https://www.nairaland.com/7658767/video-tinubu-sanwo-olu-guinea-conakry) on Tinubu and only reinstated it after I made a post stating how biased the mods are regarding threads against Tinubu and 2023 presidential election. It is sad to see what is happening in Nigeria today. The evil men and enemies of Nigeria have all come out of hiding and are bent on destroying what is left of Nigeria and its dignity as a nation. Today, we are forced by Buhari's APC government to accept Tinubu, an illegitimate president-elect with shady history of crime as president. A man who also lied under oat in the form he submitted to INEC regarding his citizenship and his assets (See https://www.nairaland.com/7657558/video-how-bola-tinubu-lied). Tinubu will be the worse thing to happen to Nigerians and Nigeria if he is sworn in on May 29, 2023. The reason I say this is because of the current situation of the country economically and socially. As a nation we can not afford another 4 or 8 years of another evil APC government, Tinubu's presidency will destroy what is left of our moral fabric.
If we must save this nation, Nigerians youths must rise above ethnic and religious sentiments to reject the enthronement of another evil APC government and demand for justice!
As it stands, Nigeria is on it's last lap and we may never recover as a nation if nothing is done to stop the destruction of our country by our evil leaders and their foreign collaborators. Nigeria appears to be a failed state today due to the rising cost of living, insecurity and political corruption caused by the draconian policies, looting of our common wealth and incompetance of Buhari and his governement in the last 8 years. A Tinubu's presidency will be the final nail in the coffin to a nation with debt ridden economy and corrupt government officials.
Before the presidential election I laid out my thought regarding the presidential election as a waste of time (See link -https://www.nairaland.com/7578573/take-tinubu-atiku-obi-sowore) I warned Nigerians that we can not achieve any meaningful progress in this flawed system of government that promotes injustice and oppression. As I said in previous post, the only way forward to salvage what is left of Nigeria is to do away with this current system of government and replace it with a decentralized system of government where states are made autonomous and control it's resources with little or no Federal influence. If this is not feasible, we can go back to regional government system with a modern tune and a new constitution formed by the people of Nigeria.
The 2023 presidential election has shown Nigerians that our oppressors can not be removed through elections as they are not ready to relinquish power without a fight. These evil men and women in positions of power have perfected the art of "divide and rule" and they are ready to do whatever they can to maintain the status quo so don't be deceived, we can not have a free and fair election as long as they are in control.
Again I will state here that Nigeria will not work and can not work for the people of Nigeria as long as we practice a centralised system of government that enables the powerful few to continue to deceive the naive and sentimental majority. These people will continue to sing one Nigeria mantra to you as long as it favours them but will sing Igbo, Hausa/Fulani or Yoruba when their position of authority is under threat and to cover their evil deeds. How long are we going to continue to play their games while they plunder the nation's resources and destroy our institutions? Instead of protesting over election rigging which to me is a waste of time, let us protest for RESTRUCTURING. If there is anytime to fight for a restructured decentralised Nigeria, now will be a good time to start..... We can't keep doing the same thing and expect a different result.
As for the Obidients (Obi's supporters), I hope you've learnt something from this election... The democracy that was sold to us in 1999 is a SCAM and you can't elect good leaders through it.... A presidential centralized system of government can not work in a multi-ethnic, multi-linguistic, multi-religious, multi-cultural society like Nigeria. A decentralized system of government with strong regions is what we need for Nigeria to heal.....

humilitypays: If Tinubu is truly God's will for Nigeria and he didn't foist himself on Nigeria through Buhari and INEC, I wish him a blissful, prosperous regime. But if Tinubu stole someone else's mandate, I pray divinity give him and his group/supporters a taste of the injustice and criminality they gave to his opponents.
Meanwhile, I don't see much coming out of Tinubu's regime, in fact, Tinubu will be worst than Buhari for the reasons below:
Tinubu is the only crop of 1999 Governors that is still in total control of the state he governed since 1999. Tinubu confiscated Lagos state and her treasury and turned it to his personal purse, he will unknowingly want to replicate the looting and reckless stealing he does in Lagos since 1999 in Nigeria.
Remember, it is Lagos state treasury that Tinubu confiscated since 1999, which was being looted dry to fund Tinubu's 2023 Presidential ambition by installing Buhari a failure to pave way for him Tinubu, so such huge investment must yield maximum return for Tinubu and his Lagos boys.
Secondly, Bola Tinubu is a one party politician who doesn't believe in opposition just as he murdered opposition in Lagos state since 1999, he would definitely murder opposition in Nigeria using all government institutions.
Tinubu will destroy every inch of progress made with electoral laws that makes Nigeria's election better, he would single handedly be selecting Governors, Senators, Reps, etc for the 36 states from Aso Rock, so if you want to become a Governor in your state, just go and lobby Tinubu through his son Seyi or his wife Remi or his Lagos gang members.
Tinubu's health is in very bad shape and for this, he will be shuttling between Nigeria and France and London for medical trips, so expect more "Presidency said" speeches and statements soon.
Because of Bola Tinubu's frail health, his Aides and his Lagos gang members will plunder Nigeria through so many means like people killing taxes, levies, etc.
Tinubu of today is a full time tribalist more than Buhari, so expect more tribalism, nepotism and mypeople mypeople and the haters kind of government which will reflect in his appointments and response to National issues by state and region.
Tinubu will never make any policy that aims at prospering all regions of Nigeria, all thanks to his sycophantic supporters who are deadliest tribal bigots who eat, breath and drink tribalism especially against Igbos.
Tinubu rode on the belief that he is larger than Nigerians and in fact anybody in Nigeria, and will definitely not be loyal to the Nigerian people. Tinubu will never respect Nigerian media, he will never respect the court, he will never respect any Nigerian institution that has a contrary opinion to his own. Tinubu's supporters will further worsen things for Tinubu by defending every of his soon to start evil with the excuse that Buhari did worst and Nigerians did nothing.
There will be too many Presidents under Tinubu from his 6th month in office.
Please bookmark this page today. And If OBI knows he lost but just using you his supporters to catch cruise, demonizing Tinubu and heating up the polity, may he never become president till he will die.May he die a miserable death
