I have maintained that Nigeria as an oil producing country got no business with how much all these countries around its borders are selling petrol. These countries are not oil producing countries.

We should concern ourselves with countries like Angola and Libya because they are oil producing countries and the last time I checked, Angola have subsidy in petrol to some extent and have total subsidy in diesel, kerosene, cooking gas and gas oil.making the citizens a beneficiary of their natural common wealth. Here in Nigeria, instead of tackling the endemic corruption in the Oil industry spearheaded by those in government, NNPC and Oil cabals, maintaining an effective border control to checkmate smuggling, the government turn around and inflict pain and hardship on the people by increasing the pump price of fuel masquerading it as subsidy removal

I am asking, What is the Nigerian common man benefiting from "Our" Oil

no be only that bro. he conducted the best confab acceptable to all, instead of implementing it, he was afraid of losing 2015 election which he later lost. What Jonathan's administration spent for subsidy for 4 years is almost double what Buhari spent for 7 years.

If you divide Buhari's figure, it is lower than what Yaradua spent in 2 years and what Obasanjo spent in a year.

APC may have its problems but you have to admit that their subsidy figure is the lowest in the history of Nigeria.

The data also shows that Buhari's major problem may not have been misappropriation of funds but he couldn't run the economy well. The percentage the naira fell during Buhari's era is scary.

We will not and never return fuel subsidy. We will not borrow money to subsidize fuel for marketers, just for them to smuggle it into benin, ghana and other countries. While we Nigerians bear the brunt. We suffered scarcity, unavailability, still suffered high cost. Nah, Enough is Enough. We will rather channel the money into infrastructure, health and food production.

Nigeria will be great again.
