Simple Math shows if Twitter plummets to around $20 per share he might be able to buy the same amount of shares for about 20Billion in a few months add the 1billion penalty

The entire Twitter shares he is buying at $54 today at current value of $37 is probably worth 30B. With a bear market and it likely hitting mid 20s he can even pay cheaper

So what would you rather pay. 44billion now or 21billion or max $25billion say 6months from now

Imagine you agree a deal of $1m to buy a house in April and if you back out you lose an earnest money of 50K. Now the same house is valued at 500K. What will you rather do? Go ahead pay 1M or back out to buy for 500K plus 50K penalty total $550K
