This excuse is no longer valid. People living in the Sahara and Kalahari should also develop methods of agriculture in the desert and prevention of excessive heat that should force them into an organized lifestyle and efficient methods as a matter of survival

But then these excuses no longer make sense in the modern world.

We see what Israel is doing with the Negev, why are we not doing same?
Negative effects on climate have largely been conquered. Similar to how engineers conquered wind, building skyscrapers.
It's a modern world , Africans are educated, they make development plans and fail to follow through.
Sahara desert is neither here nor there.

Great question.
Leadership, habits, culture.
Let's take the biggest black leader Barack Obama.
Can you mention just one thing he has done to improve the black race or culture?
He gave black people hope . Hope that is edible, you you can fry, stew, boil, roast, barbecue and fill your stomach.

QAnon talk. Flat Earth Talk.
You are suggesting that those jailed and pardoned deserve no compensation.
Around 300 were jailed on a charge that the Supreme Court ruled was illegally stacked up on them.
What you suggest happens to these 300.
The prosecutors prevailed upon the judges to impose maximum enhanced sentences stemming from that charge
It was a loose interpretation of the law passed to prevent another Enron situation
What you say?

Regarding J6 ,why did J6 Committee destroy the evidence they collected. Why were they all pardoned.
Who was the legal consultant to the J6 and what other lawfare had she been engaged in since 2016 after taking over from John Carlin.

Just my advice, You better not comment on matters where you have not heard the other side .

While you selectively chose to die on this hill ,your favourite Non profits ACLU and Planned Parenthood have opposed explicit bans on 18 year olds marriages.

American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) has actively opposed absolute bans on child marriage, most notably during legislative battles in California. Their opposition surprised many advocates, but it stems from specific civil liberties philosophies regarding individual autonomy and the unintended consequences of broad bans.

Their primary arguments against an absolute ban include:
1. Intrusion on the Fundamental Right to Marry
The ACLU views marriage as a core, fundamental right protected by the U.S. Constitution.

The Argument: In official opposition letters to lawmakers, the ACLU argued that a flat 100% prohibition "unnecessarily and unduly intrudes on the fundamental rights of marriage without sufficient cause."

Individual Capacity: The organization asserted that a blanket ban assumes no minor is capable of making this choice. They stated that they "believe that some youth can appropriately make this decision for themselves."

2. Protecting the Rights of Consensual Teen Relationships
The ACLU, along with other youth advocacy groups like the Children's Law Center, expressed concern that strict age limits could penalize or restrict the lives of young people who are in genuinely consensual, healthy relationships.

They noted that for some older minors (such as 17-year-olds), marriage is based on "positive, pro-social factors" that further their personal, long-term life goals.

3. Concerns Over Reproductive Freedom Precedents
When the ACLU opposed California's 2017 ban, they were joined by Planned Parenthood.

The Precedent Fear: Reproductive rights groups worried that creating an unyielding legal standard stating "anyone under 18 lacks the maturity or capacity to consent to marriage" could be weaponized by conservative lawmakers in future legal battles.
The Risk: Opponents feared the logic of a hard age restriction could be used to roll back a minor's right to independently consent to other major life decisions, such as accessing abortion care, birth control, or reproductive healthcare without parental or judicial consent.
4. Preference for Safeguards Over Flat Bans
Rather than an absolute ban, the ACLU has historically advocated for increased judicial screening and strict statutory safeguards.

Instead of a total criminal or civil ban, they supported laws that force courts to privately interview both parties, evaluate age gaps, and check for coercion, trafficking, or domestic abuse.
They argued that existing laws requiring parental and judicial approval were sufficient if properly enforced.

Only 17 states have voted to ban marriages before 18.
So the Oklahoma Republicans were simply voting to keep the existing law in place which they deem to have enough safeguards.

cococandy:
Still on the 36 republican voters who voted in favor of child marriage. It sums up their party as a whole.

They are just negative emotional voters. No common sense at all. As long as it says democrats are in support, they’ll automatically be against it no matter what it is.

Then they project that behavior onto others, claiming that’s what people are doing. When everyone can clearly see they don’t reason and are easily manipulated with their feelings about issues.
By your reasoning ACLU and Planned Parenthood are full of paedophiles.
Correct me on this .

If you love your democrats that much advice them to stop targeting their opponents.
In 2017 , IRS settled over 400 lawsuits after they were caught targeting Tea Party tax exempt organizations.
....whose tax-exempt status was significantly delayed by the IRS dating back to 2013, “based solely on their viewpoint or ideology.”

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/trump-doj-settles-lawsuits-over-tea-party-targeting-by-obama-irs

St Jesus of Chicago can do anything because he is black. This targeting of Trump and his supporters including manufacturing J6 would never happened if Obama didn't chose to target him before 2016 then organised the coup to remove him.
Democrats suck big.

bayelsaowei:
So you mean folks who went through the courts, were convicted by federal judges or juries deserve reparations?

Is there not a time in your sorry lives when it’s becomes appropriate to say enough is enough.?

Trump is telling the whole world that the US and its rule of law is a joke.

The implications of what Trump and his gang are doing is unprecedented and a reputational disaster.

Trump is now no different from our Nigerian politicians who just deep hands into the coffers of the country and compensate cronies with it.

Trump is dropping the suit because there is a racketeering investigation going on in Florida. The leak was part of a coordinated lawfare campaign against him. It shields IRS from the Florida investigation but doesn't shield the individuals responsible

$1,776 B is symbolic

IjeBos:
Trump is dropping the suit in order not to have any judicial oversight.
The judge was going to drop the hammer.

The dismissal of this suit allows him to negotiate with his own DOJ to attempt to steal 1.7 Billion dollars for some nonsense fund.
This is pure outright corruption that we wouldn't even see in Nigeria let alone the US.
There is nothing altruistic about this move.

You are barely literate on US laws and the US court system to be even offering any commentary.
Yet you continue flooding this forum with nonsense like this, fooling anyone who may think because someone could write it means there must be a grain of truth in it.

You should spend a fraction of the time actually reading relevant non propaganda sources and you would sound 100% more smarter.
In fact, if you just stopped consuming all the right-wing propaganda you do, you'd instantaneously sound smarter for it.
There were black districts imposed by courts in Republican majority states.Yes or No?
Supreme Court rejected using race as a criteria when redrawing congressional district maps.

Obrigardo.Take note.

REPUBLICAN PAUL WYMER CRUSHES DEMOCRAT IN RIO RANCHO MAYORAL RACE — 63% TO 37% LANDSLIDE

Republican Paul Wymer just delivered a massive victory in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, winning the mayoral runoff 63% to 37% over Democrat Alexandria Piland.

“That’s a huge victory for Republicans in this city,” reported local news.

Wymer highlighted his campaign focus: “We ran a positive campaign. We talked about the issues that matter to the people of Rio Rancho. We’re going to focus on public safety, we’re going to focus on economic development, and we’re going to make sure that we keep taxes low and keep our community the great place that it is.”

Trump only carried Rio Rancho by 3 points. Wymer’s +23 point overperformance marks a bloodbath for Democrats in this key New Mexico city.

This is another clear sign that voters are rejecting one-party Democrat rule and demanding results on safety, taxes, and growth.

Though I think for a mayor the individual matters.

Ideally. But in the real world, the truth is that stance on racial issues is critical (mind you, stance on racial issues is not your race). For example, the rep of Memphis has been white for two decades.
Courts shouldn't order which race drawn map to use.
Democrats after a census would challenge a redrawn map where they are a minority in the state. Then they would sue in a friendly judges court who would authorize their map .
That has been corrected by the Supreme Court decision

One day both parties will come up with a workable plan .
As of now democrats are crying because the Republicans are set to gain upto 14 seats if they all redress the imbalances that exist.

After 2030 census , projections are that republicans could pick up another 6-8 seats . Voters have moved from democrat states to tax and business friendly republican states
Foreign AffairsRe: American Politics Thread: Trump Is The 47th President! by basilico: 10:05am On May 18
The creation of congressional districts should not be based on race.
Final ruling.
Democrats have abused that. Courts have imposed districts where democrats are likely to win.

Obama won some white solid republican states like Indiana or Ohio and retained others.

An election win should be based on policy or substance not just race.

DeepSight:
Repent.

Everyone knows the game being played. Everyone knows what is being done is targeted at denying blacks and Dems seats in the next election and everyone knows the true purpose beyond the words being bandied about. Even both of you also know it.

Look at Memphis a predominantly black city which would normally get a seat based on the majority of its people's desire. You now go and split it up into several districts so that it cannot vote as a majority black area and thereby strategically deny the black population its choice. This is known as "cracking"—a gerrymandering technique where a cohesive voting bloc is split across multiple districts to dilute its political power.

No one is stupid, including your side, everyone knows exactly what is being done and both of you know it too, so no amount of pretending that it's segregation will impress anyone.

As for me, I simply say what's good for the goose is good for the gander. If your side is doing it and you are happy, just don't complain when it's also done to you, period.

Foreign AffairsRe: American Politics Thread: Trump Is The 47th President! by basilico: 8:52am On May 18
A lot of people don't see it this way.

When democrats carve out a black district ,they are in effect segregating.
They get their black safe districts.

The suburbs get their Republican safe districts too.

So in effect they are creating separate black and mostly white enclaves .

A racist republican doesn't depend on appealing across the board to all voters.
A black house rep knows he only needs to win the primary to retain his seat.Ditto the Republican.

An example.
Spreading Democratic voters thinly across multiple districts to maximize Republican seats, a Democratic surge in a midterm year could actually make up to three separate South Carolina districts highly competitive for Democrats

tctrills:
The supreme court says you can't segregate people based on colour
Démocrates claim it is a racist ruling.
Dems believe that segregation is the solution to racism.
The supreme court says all Americans should be treated equally, no special districts based on the colour of your skin.
But Dems want segregated district's.
Who do you support?
Do you support segregation as the solution to racism or do you want a colour blind society.

Which country did you come from? Cuba.

You're from Cuba.

So what would you say to all the democratic socialists that think that socialism is the answer?

Well... Don't get her started. Don't get me started. Go off, queen. Go off, queen.

So that's what America has to look forward to?.
Oh, yeah. If they keep going down this path. Oh, yes.

And do you believe that Trump is trying to stop it from happening?
Of course. But they're trying to stop Trump. And let me put it this way. When you speak the truth, people will stop you. And there was one person that walked around this earth speaking the truth, and he got crucified. And that was? Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ. What I don’t support is 🤡s using kids as political props when they’re trying to scapegoat certain communities. But when it comes to actually being against harm to children, they support every measure that goes against it. While supporting those actively and credibly known to harm kids.

"There's a ton of evidence that the election was rigged. That's not something the DOJ needs to tell you about. There's been evidence about that for many, many years!"

"That's what we're doing in multiple states. You'll say to me, how long has it taken? Why has it taken so long? The reality of the answer is because it takes a lot of work to uncover what happened in 2020."

"It takes a lot of old, good old fashioned law enforcement police work, which is what we're doing."

"We have great prosecutors working on it as well. I assure you, I assure the American people that as soon as we have something to say for it, whether it's charges, whether it's a report, whether it's a result of an investigation, the American people will learn about what we uncovered

Point out the flaws.

You cannot even follow simple reasoning.

Oya tell me the map of the temperate zones is a coincidence.

What I am telling you is as simple and as kindergarten as saying that a freezing person will have to look for heat and that has ripple effects and you are denying such self evident things. Shior.

At the end of the day even if we use an extreme example and say one person was put in an oasis and he prospered, and another person was put in a barren desert and he starved, you basically will want to say that the person who starved only starved because he was not intelligent and the person who prospered in the oasis prospered because he was brilliant.

You will bring up their respective culture like Tctrills and forget that their environment dictated their culture.

The tragedy is that if the person who starved was white you will make excuses for him. But if he was black you will say it's because he was daft and claim that anyone who points out that he was in a desert was making excuses and not taking responsibility.

The factors I have pointed out are backed by detailed and extensive academic studies.

Aimee Bock. The white woman who masterminded the Minnesota fraud says Nur Elmi Ilhan Omar knew

https://nypost.com/2026/05/16/us-news/minnesota-rep-ilhan-omar-knew-about-250m-covid-meal-fraud-mastermind/

Bock talked to the Post by video call this week while awaiting sentencing and claims:

🔺️There were gaps when waivers expired mid-month and renewals lagged, that's when Omar stepped in to keep the cash flowing.

🔺️Omar “would personally step in whenever waivers ran out, allowing the rampant fraud to continue.”

🔺️“A lot of the sites were working directly with her, being that a lot of the operators were from the same Somali community,”

🔺️“There were a lot of people that had been reaching out to her office and staff, and I presume her personally, to work through some of those gaps with the waivers.”

🔺️Omar introduced the MEALS Act in March 2020. It let restaurants join the program without site inspections and shifted to self-reported data, slashing oversight.

🔺️ The Minnesota House Fraud Prevention and State Agency Oversight Committee’s final report explicitly states Omar “played a critical role in creating the conditions for fraud” by pushing those changes.

🔺️In May 2020, Omar filmed a promotional video at Safari Restaurant, the No. 1 fraud site, praising it for serving 2,300 meals daily to kids and families.

🔺️Safari later claimed 5,000 meals a day and raked in over $12 million before collapsing.

🔺️Omar held her 2018 election night party at Safari.

🔺️Court exhibits from Bock’s 2025 federal trial list Omar’s name at least six times in emails and texts between Feeding Our Future and her office about waiver help.

🔺️In 2021, Bock emailed the Minnesota Department of Education flagging suspicious sites like House of Refuge.

🔺️The department replied it “takes no position if fraud has taken place.”

🔺️ “I have the emails that show that I told you, so you knew,” and “I struggle to believe that we notified them and they didn’t alert the governor, or our state or federal officials.”

🔺️Omar is being protected by democrats who voted against issuing a subpoena for her records tied to the fraud - after Omar refused to go to a hearing on the matter.
