Strong dollar will reduce your exports, as those you export to will need more money to buy what you sell, and there's no guarantee the local market would pay those prices especially if some other country is selling the same to you a lot cheaper, as in, if it cost you less in local currency. That's why we buy more from weak currency China than we buy from America. Buyers can always do without you or find alternatives.

Cheap imports into your strong dollar economy will also kill your local producing market (Walmart), because manufacturers will move to where imports come from (Apple). Jobs in both sectors will disappear and employment and discontent will increase, as will your deficit, and your tax revenue will decrease at a time when you'd need more money for social expenditure. And as your debt grows, so will its cost, as more interest will be charged on what you owe.


We do not live in your "ideal world" where anyone buys less and sells more to earn a surplus. In the real world, you'd have countries like Japan that has to import all its energy, and America, both with huge deficits and debt, and your strong currency will be nothing if you are not producing anything because it's cheaper to import. Your tax revenue will decrease too, and you would have to sustain more people with what you have or you'd have riots on your streets, and your cost of borrowing will rise, which will then weaken you currency.

You are not the only person in the world, you see. You might be able to pull the shots with say, Nigeria, but countries like Saudi and China that you import from, will peg their currency to your dollar so strong or weak does not affect them much.

Not only will its currency eventually suffer as other currencies appreciate against it because they produce and export while you borrow and buy, it's people too will suffer because they will be in unemployed and in debt to those they buy from.

You can't print dollars to pay debt, you see. If America turns up in China with boat loads of printed dollars to pay what they owe, China will tell them to fuq off. And If you know anything about economics you'd have seen this play out in Nigeria that produces little and so is constantly in debt.

Ben, I am not in any way disputing you can plead guilty for a crime you never committed. Try South Africa under apartheid and you'd find tons. There is lots of evidence out there to show many do, and I believe I posted the story of people jailed for murders they never committed who would have been death sentenced if not for death sentence abolishment that the wrong person might be killed for a crime they pled guilty to but had not committed. You can't however use this as those pleading guilty are innocent, as you are trying to do, this is not lawless South Africa.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, if you plead guilty to a crime you never committed, you are either toying for a lower sentence having committed a crime, be insane, or must be prepared for the price you must pay for being weak.

Do know that pleading guilty to a crime you never committed is the same as confessing to a crime you never committed. It happens.
