I honestly don't know if a man called Jesus of Nazareth existed. The historicity of Jesus is a complex academic matter. However let me say a few brief things.

1. The non-scriptural references to him are painfully few - one or two references in Josephus stand out, and even there, it is argued that such were deliberate insertions by the Church/ establishment at a later point in order to establish the historical Jesus. 5.
