LibertyRep: 1. Yoruba only rejected Obasanjo in 1999 in favour of another Yoruba man, Olu Falae for obvious reasons. Did you remember that same Yoruba voted massively for him in 2003?
2. Southern Unity is desirable and cannot be achieved through blackmail and unnecessary hauling of insults to an entire tribe because of the political inclination of a few. Yorubas demonstrated this much desired unity in 2011 by largely supporting Jonathan.
3. Most importantly, please note that not all Yorubas are Buharideens and in any case anyone who sees that his political nest will be much feathered by supporting Buhari is at liberty to do so. Again, politics is a game of interest.
Don't get me wrong, Southern Unity is desirable in order to promote a common front in 2023 but this will be elusive if you do no desist from disparaging and demonizing the SW and may be the other way round too.
Thank you. I repeat, do not flatter yourself that anybody is begging you for unity. We are just informing you how delusional your 2023 agenda is without it. It is neither a blackmail nor is it disparaging. The point I am making is that I don't see how yoruba can produce president without support from igbos who the remaining part of the south vote in the same pattern with. I am also reminding you not to bank on buhari, national politics is complicated unlike sw where one man run the show. It is Yorubas best interests to support igbo presidency and also a moral obligation to reciprocate our support for obj at the expense of okadigbos vp. If you keep bragging about your political maradonnaism and how you will ensure igbos never produce president you will be reminded of the adverse effects ot portends for your own political future. Tinubu is leading yorubas astray. OBJ is the only yoruba that understand national politics that's why he is tipping for igbo presidency to prevent future acrimony that may hurt yorubas badly |

Hotfreeze: Those pictures are from the fuel subsidy crisis.
Right now, most Igbos have gone out of Lagos with bags of rice to their muddy villages to feed their starving villagers.
By January, if you see how Igbos would be running out of Igboland, you would think war broke out there. You seem to agree that igbos make up a larger percentage of Lagos with this your post and that's the main point. Others are ignored |

LibertyRep:
Yorubas are basking in the euphoria of the moment without thinking about the future. They are happy with buhari's religious and ethnic bigotry thinking it will hurt igbos alone. I shudder at yoruba naivety in trying to become president ridding on buhari's back with zero support from other southern zones. Even if Buhari wins 2019 PDP will still bury yoruba presidential ambition in 2023. The narrow minded ethnic politics of SW makes them unfit for national politics thats why OBJ their brother avoided them and went ahead to rule for 8years. The recent bragging about yoruba political mastery makes one wonder whether they are ignorant of history. Their recent little taste of national politics has intoxicated them and now their only hope to remain is by propagating imaginary enemity between igbos and other Nigerians
Why do people find it so easy to castigate an entire tribe on this platform just because of the action of few? Without sentiment, the voting pattern of the SW for a while has always reflected national outlook. In 2011 when SW voted for Jonathan, I can't recall any outrage about them being traitors. In 2015 when majority of the voters in the region decided to look elsewhere, why should anyone termed that as naivety, is there any agreement that the SW should always go where the rest of the Southern Nigeria go? What's this unwarranted attack on the SW about? Isn't politics a game of interest?
Come 2023, the North will shock the South by making sure one of these prominent parties present a candidate from the NC and watch as the political heavy weights from the North decamps to that party so as to retain power in the North.
Shebi you won't all stop fanning the ember of discord in the South, the North will teach una political lessons. And when all northern heavyweight back a NC candidate in 2023 hasn't the yoruba predency dream been killed. So please whats yoir point? You laud the unity in the north but claim you don't owe that to anybody in the south, are you not contradicting yourself? Isn't it obvious from your assertion of a possible NC president in 2023 that the North is looking out for the interest of each other by supporting zones that has not ruled before? But yorubas keep bragging how they will make sure igbos never become president, how can someone decide to remain on the ground in order to hold someone else on the ground? Obasanjo, a yoruba man enjoyed 8 years due to southern unity which yoruba rejected. Not that it's by force but the question is how possible is yoruba predency without majority support from the south as the case of OBJ? You yourself have accepted that its a mission possible. Secondly, Buhari's ethnic and religious bigotry which you praise may come back to hunt you when buhari decide to work for the success of his brother in another party to continue their ethnic supremacy agenda |
